POOR EXPERIENCE AT SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I made an appointment over a week ago regarding a Ford issued recall for my Ford Explorer. The service writer Sam checked my VIN number and confirmed I made an appointment over a week ago regarding a Ford issued recall for my Ford Explorer. The service writer Sam checked my VIN number and confirmed the recall was not done before. I explained to Sam exactly what my issue was and asked her about the fuel filler neck I was having issues with. Sam stated that the fuel filler neck would be covered by Ford and that she would have the part ordered. She made an appointment over a week later to make sure the part came in. My wife brought the car in today for the appointment only to be told by another service writer that it is NOT a recall but an "extended Ford warranty" and that I would have to pay $200 for a "diagnostic fee." My wife waited for 2 hours to be told it's not the fuel filler neck, they would not be putting it in under warranty and that it needs another part over $500 plus labor. I had to pay the $200 "diagnostic fee." When I told the service writer what Sam had told me I was informed that Sam was "new" and misinformed me. I asked for the other service writer to talk to the service manager and my wife nor I never got an answer from him. I feel that I should not have been charged a "diagnostic fee" or at the very least have been offered a discount because I was told wrong information from their employee. No refund was given at all and I was told to call Ford customer service and explain the whole incident again with them. More

I was not very pleased with my experience purchasing a new vehicle. The sales man was a young guy so I cut him some slack as he seemed quite inexperienced. He was also distracted and I waited long periods of time as he was doing other things. The place is nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone when you call too. And leaving a couple messages, I received no return call. In looking at my paperwork after I was home I noticed nowhere was it mentioned that they charge a ridiculous $750 for dealer set up. On my contract it started $750 more than the sticker price with no mention what that extra amount was for. I honestly don’t believe they did any dealer set to it either. They did wash it and it looked good however when I got it home I noticed some things. Being a equipment mechanic, I checked the oil and it was not at the proper level. I also noticed the antenna wasn’t installed but looking around I found a bag of pieces under the back seat with the antenna. The whole dealership seems very disorganized several people sitting around at desks yet you are made to wait. I made an appointment to pick up my $40,000 vehicle and expected the salesman would be ready for me when I arrived. He was not and I waited over half an hour wile he was talking with other people looking at cars. Selling is his job but he should have told those people he had an appointment and they would have to wait as he had to complete a sale. Later I waited more for the finance manager to get around to me too. After three attempts trying to call the dealership the next day hoping to talk to the sales manager and no one returning my messages, I gave up. I also never received a follow up call to ask how the new car was going like other dealership do. I really hate to complain but I don’t think this dealership has good customer service or is very organized. It just was t a very pleasurable experience. I doubt I would recommend them to a friend.
