Thank you for your follow up comments regarding your recent visit. I appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to my attention. With every repair, whether it’s a 30 minute oil change, or a complete transmission assembly, our service department performs a complimentary multipoint inspection. This includes a visual inspection for leaks and a check of all under hood fluid levels. Although during our inspection of your vehicle we found no visible fluid leaks, it is possible that our technician was unable to see a low coolant condition as the cooling system is a sealed system and there is no way to check the level in the radiator. We saw no evidence of your vehicle being low on coolant nor did we see any overheating conditions. However, an inoperative heater can be a symptom of low coolant. I have shared your visit experience with our technicians, and stressed how important every part of the multipoint inspection process is. Trust that our entire staff will continue to make sure our processes stay true to our customers and to their vehicles. It is my understanding that upon your return and after we performed a pressure test on your cooling system, we found that the upper radiator hose on your vehicle was leaking. Unfortunately the powertrain warranty coverage of 5 years/100,000 miles does not cover this hose. In fact, if we had found that the radiator was also leaking, Ford would not have covered this component either. The factory warranty on both the hose and radiator is 3 years/36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. If another repair facility told you otherwise, you were misinformed. As you are aware, to assist you with repairs, our estimate to replace this hose on your vehicle extended the labor expense to you at no charge. I realize that you declined our recommendation but keep in mind this offer still stands. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to contact me at 407-275-3200. Ms Walker, Please check my receipt, I paid for a service called "Deluxe oil change" in which I was told that they would go through and top off all fluids. Upon completion of the service I received a checklist stapled to my receipt that showed "Green" in all areas to include my radiator fluid. This is the first time that I remember your dealership attaching this sheet. In this case, I paid for a service that was not completed properly. Had the technician checked everything that I had paid for him to do, then we would have been aware of the radiator issue prior to my trip out of state the following morning, which I why I did the service. No only did he not check the fluid levels, but when my tires were rotated, he did not check and adjust the pressure as all were different and 2 were quite low. I simply paid for a service, not a complimentatary one as you mentioned above that was not performed properly and I was not compensated in any way regarding this transaction. The repair is a separate issue that needs to be addressed with Ford Customer Care as I understand that the TSB 11-6-6 shows that if a radiator is leaking due to the stress caused by the hoses o-rings leak, it can be covered under warranty. Whether your dealership cares to assist me in correcting this issue under warranty or not is not what I am upset with. I can surely take my business to another dealer that is more willing to work with me regarding that warranty work. As I said in my initial post, I have been a Greenway service customer with 2 vehicles since being PCSed here for the Army 4 years ago. I actually looked at new trucks on the day of the service as I am getting ready to trade in my vehicle (this is my second new Super duty in 8 years). I will most certainly not be shopping at Greenway for this vehicle if this is how a minor issue is handled by your franchise. Secondly, if Ford is unwilling to repair known weekness within the drivetrain as they have for others, I will most likely move to a 3500 series of another manufacturer. I hope to get an actual GM level response to this issue as I do intend on reporting this to the BBB as well as my sending a formalized letter to Mr Rodriguez to complain about the issue. Thank you.
