Great Neck Nissan takes great pride in providing exceptional products and services to all of our customers. The vehicle that this customer purchased was delivered in pristine condition with only 8K miles. The estimated brake life on one set of brakes for this vehicle is 15-20k miles when used for typical wear and tear. Unfortunately this vehicle was driven in a very severe manner by a new driver which shortened their life span. When the vehicle was brought in for service, our service advisors informed the driver, who was deemed the owner's representative, of the situation. He was given the opportunity to accept or decline the repair. He contacted his Mother in front of the service advisor and was given permission to authorize the repair. Once he had signed the repair authorization, we completed the necessary repairs. The customer then called his Mother again to obtain a credit card for payment. She gave him the credit card information over the phone to pay the bill. Several days later Eileen Rubin came in to the General Manager, Stacey Baron's office to report fraudulent use of her credit card at Great Neck Nissan. As is standard procedure, we report all credit card fraud to the local police department. When we explained this to her, she began to shout and finally admitted that it wasn't fraud and was authorized use by her 18 year old son. She decided to handle the situation at home and we were under the impression that the story was over. Three days later, the same 18 year old boy called the dealership for assistance. He had lost his keys and was locked out of his car. We towed the vehicle in and supplied a new key. Again, he authorized the repair and presented us with the same credit card. For this situation, his Mother isn't disputing the authorization to use her credit card again. At this juncture we are not sure why the customer feels that we treated her unfairly.
