My search for a BMW M3 came to an immediate halt once I entered Global Luxury Import. Some background history I've been searching for a BMW M3 for quite some time now over a few months and with summer amidst here in Chicago my craving for one was ever deeper but the various bmw dealerships in the Chicago land area and suburbs felt very pushy, unethical and I always felt as if the salesmen were either hiding something from me or the individual doing the financing was pushing a unreasonable product down my throat for over an hour after repeated denials. I felt none of this with the team here at Global Luxury Imports. The most helpful and fulfilling part of my experience is the staff was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle that I personally was so interested in and had tons of insight. The two individuals I personally had the pleasure of doing business with were Mike Tracz & Anwar, Both gentlemen were a joy to talk with and I didn't feel an ounce of pressure and push towards making me purchase the vehicle immediately after set my eyes on it something that clearly had driven me off from all the other dealerships. Simple curtsey and conversation goes a long way and I felt very respected and befriended by the staff here and the entire process was quick and fluid from start to end and that's what made my experience so wonderful. Their professionalism and expertise did not stop here and I found the entire staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. The used R8 I bought is superb and when it needed service, it was immediately and satisfactorily taken care of. Further, GLI gave me a great, fun loaner that helped me not to miss my R8 too much for the few days it was gone. At this point I see no need to ever do business with any other dealership because GLI met and exceeded all my expectations. I am pleased to call each of them "friend". More

I would not do business with them again or recommend to a friend. I purchased a recent model year, low mileage BMW from GLI. I live in another state, so I had the vehicle inspected at an independent BMW shop. GLI was accomodating in this respect and communication was decent until after I made the purchase. Prior to my decision to travel 2000 miles to buy the car, GLI ensured me that the vehicle was in "pristine" condition and had never had any body work. Unfortunately for me, the independent shop I selected for the PPI (based on online reviews) was a complete waste of money, and they failed to warn me about any real issues with the vehicle. There was one expensive repair that the PPI did uncover: one of the sealed headlights had condensation spots inside. According to my research, this should be covered under BMW factory warranty, so not a concern. When I showed up to buy the car, I noticed that there were lots of tiny but very deep chips all along the trunk, top, and hood of the car. Also, the paint was peeling off every wheel, but only in small sections. Not my definition of pristine. I brought up these issues to Al, he gave me a "we-owe" sheet, assuring me that GLI would pay for getting the paint chips and wheels fixed. I felt uneasy, but decided to proceed with the purchase. Upon driving the car back home (no issues), I went to get some quotes for the paint chips and wheel repair. I reached out to GLI, so I could get the we-owe honored, and got no response about this matter. I took the vehicle to two different BMW dealers to have the headlight replaced under warranty. Both dealers were unable to do the work under warranty, because the car has had body work in the area of the headlights. It would cost $1500 out of pocket to have the headlight replaced. Very upset about this, I contacted Al. He promised to find a similar car and take mine back on trade. After a month went by and GLI was not able to find a replacement (no updates), I got a hold of Al and suggested that I keep the car, and would like GLI to pay for my costs to get the headlight and wheels fixed. I would live with the chips and body work. Al said he would get back to me in a few days. When he didn't, I tried to reach him, only to find that my numbers were now being blocked. After I sent a final email to GLI to try to resolve this matter, Al's associate offered me 1/10th what it will cost me to fix the broken items. Ridiculous. Bottom line: they lied about the history of the vehicle, they did not live up to their "we-owe" promise, and they have a very unhappy customer. More
