Don't buy here, this place is a scam!!!! DON'T GO HERE nor their parent dealer Universal City Nissan. Look for an honest dealer that will do things right for you. I leased a car a year ago a DON'T GO HERE nor their parent dealer Universal City Nissan. Look for an honest dealer that will do things right for you. I leased a car a year ago and now they are trying to charge me for a mistake their sales staff made or dishonest business practices to reach a quota. I even email the following letter to their manager and no response whatsoever, other than their collections department trying to get more money from me. See my letter and go to another dealer: Dear Chris, Few months back (August 31), I leased a Leaf. Everything was great, I thought, until I received a called by the beginning of February from Jessica Caplan. Ms. Caplan, from the very moment she contacted me, she took a very accusative approach, the first thing she said was "you gave us the wrong payoff and you owe us more than $4,000." Since then, I've been trying to analyze this whole situation and try to put together in my mind what happened on August 31. As I remembered everything, I've been sharing the situation with friends and with other people, I have received multiple advise, one of those was to share my experience with Glendale Nissan at Yelp. When I started reading all of the postings, at some point, I regretted to lease my car with you, but at the same time, I noticed your responses to every person posting something, and I felt that you were genuine in your responses and that you care about your business. Therefore, I want to give you the benefit of the doubt to resolve this matter. Let me start sharing with you the narrative of what happened on August 31, so you can have a picture of the situation: First, the previous weeks of August 31, I received call after call and email after email to go and check the Leaf at your business and they told me about the great incentives. Finally, I made an appointment for August 31 at 4:00 PM. I came on time, tested the Leaf, loved the car and started the process to see if I could trade my Prius. I gave them, my Driver License, Insurance, Registration, I also told them that I could do a $5000 downpayment, and I had a copy of the last payment of the Prius (see attachment, lease with Toyota was under my wife's name). I remember I mentioned to them that I still had 28 payments in the lease, but I didn't know the payoff, that if they please call Toyota to check the payoff which your staff agreed to do. At that point, we proceeded to complete my credit application. After that, your staff took everything on their hands until they came with the first offer. Your staff tried to give me a deal with payments of more than $800 per month. I considered that was very high and that I only was able to make payments of around $450 a month. After, a little while they came back with an offer of around $500 which I accepted. At that point, I asked again if they check the payoff and your staff told me that they could not make an offer without having the payoff, and I trusted their word; after all, I bought and lease many cars, and that's kind of the protocol. So I trusted what I was told by your staff. I personally believe that someone in your staff didn't do their normal duties and only calculated the payoff based on the number of payments on the bill I gave them and never call Toyota as I asked for; however, your business makes leases all of the time, and your staff know what is on the monthly bill is not the payoff of the vehicle. The other option (which I hope is not what happened) is that they check the payoff and they couldn't give me the offer I wanted unless, my payoff was less, that's why they used the payoff as the numbers of monthly payments I owed Toyota; and later on someone was going to call me and accuse me that I didn't give them the right payoff. I hope this is not the case, since this would be the worst business practice ever. As I told you, I have bought and lease many cars, and this has never happened to me, my experience is that dealers always check how much your payoff is. I am very upset with this situation, and I don't understand why I need to pay for someone's mistake in your staff or if someone wanted to sell enough cars to meet a quota since it was the end of the month, and they made an intentional maneuver to lease me the car and meet their quota to later accuse me of not giving them the right payoff. I really hope that you can help me to resolve this issue since I believe you are interested in good practices and good business ethics at your dealer. Please, feel free to contact me at xxxxxxxxxxx and leave a message if I don't respond and I'll be back to you as soon as I can; or email me back, and we can make an appointment to go personally and deal with this issue as soon as possible. My account number in your system is xxxxxxx. I truly would appreciate if you contact me, and not my wife since she hates dealing with this type of problems. Thanks for taking care of this matter promptly. Sincerely, Martin Garcia More

Almost a year later, my suspicions are confirmed, I'd been blatantly lied to about my contract. I've literally given this dealership an enormous amount of time to settle this matter,"to my satisfaction. Everyone from the despicable salesman to the General Manager as well as the service department have shown what a "crooked" dealership Nissan Glendale is. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. Glendale Nissan - THE Dealership of the Year Award Are you considering purchasing a vehicle? Then consider going to Glendale Nissan dealership. I am very certain that you will be treated so well you Are you considering purchasing a vehicle? Then consider going to Glendale Nissan dealership. I am very certain that you will be treated so well you will leave with a new vehicle! I test drove a lot of cars in the mid-size sedan family so I went to a lot of dealerships. Glendale Nissan was my first stop. A week later after test driving at least 10 other cars I went back to Glendale Nissan. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into buying a vehicle. Jay Lugo was my salesman. He was extremely respectful (pay attention Kia! where the salesman wouldn't let me back up the car!), explained all the vehicle main points (engine included! - pay attention Honda! just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I'm not interested in knowing about the engine), handed me the key and the test driving began (pay attention Ford! where I waited 15 min for the salesman just to photocopy my license!). Jay's knowledge of every facet of the vehicle was immediately apparent and he explained clearly every feature I asked about. Test drive over there was no "give me your number I'll call you" speech. All Jay said: "I want you to be happy. If you decide you want a Nissan come back and we will take good care of you." I think Jay just set the bar so high and I had such a good experience that every test drive after that I found myself comparing them to Nissan. So of course I had to go back to Glendale Nissan! Overall and in every detail Glendale Nissan met every expectation and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I purchased the Altima SR model and traded my old car for which they gave me more than a fair price. I must admit that I was skeptical about buying a car at a Glendale dealership, having had a few bad experiences in the past and was truly planning to test drive the cars then make my purchase elsewhere. Jay, thank you so much! Your calm demeanor, easy-going personality, respectfulness and knowledge of the car made this truly a great car buying experience! And yes, I love my new car and I am happy! I would be remiss not to mention the other wonderful people I worked with: Sami, James, and Sahab. Special thanks to Tyler Wafa! More

I went because they have a good deal on the internet and I wanted that or something close to it. Of course, when I got there, they wanted me to consider another car a 2015 Sentra I believe. They said that they had special deals on those so I went for it. Well to make a long story short, they couldn't offer me the deal, they didn't offer at least some of the discounts listed, I was willing to give a $1500.00 down payment which would have made up somewhat whatever incentives my mom didn't qualify for. The only thing I know is that the $39.00 monthly lease payments is just an illusion. They wanted a $169 + tax payment for 36 months. We decided to walk. Then when the GM saw as leave he asked whether there was a problem, I said that the deal wasn't like they one the advertised and the one we wanted. He said that he will honor it but not at the amount we sere seeking. I was willing to go up to $100.00 per month to make up for the difference but he said that I needed a $4500 down payment or something to that effect. Obviously, there were no incentive for us and we were pretty much done. I'll say avoid the dealership nothing but a bait and switch kind of establishment. More
