Since, you asked ... I am in love again! Car love, that is. My initial contact w/ Gilboy was via internet with Kelly. And she asked "How can we earn your business?" I was impressed that she cared enough to want to earn my business. She dealt w/ me like a "nugget of gold", - a great way to handle a customer. My goal was to purchase a jetta tdi wagon by 4th of July. And life got in the way, but Kelly stayed in touch, determined what I wanted, told me what was on your lot, asked about my trade, etc. She cared enough to let me know she didn't want to be a bother and asked where I was in the process of buying. Then one evening we had some time to drive down to your dealership. As we approached the door, Scott came out to greet us. I think we were in the Jetta I actually purchased within 5 minutes for a test drive after which we sat down to talk the deal.Scott, too, asked what it would take to get our business. Told him best deal. Scott answered our questions, showed us features,! etc. We got a deal done quickly. A fair deal, I believe. Great trade on my car. And I appreciate it. We didn't drag it out. I believe Scott is a great asset to your business. Initially I planned to pick up the car the following day 5P following a meeting I had in Easton. Well, my meeting ended at noon, so I called Scott to see if I could come early. He assured me he would get it done. And he did. Then I met with you to do paperwork. And even you didn't try to baffle me with BS. I thank you all for making the car buying experience excellent. Then off I went an hour later in the rain w/ afull tank of gas. Can you believe there are still dealers that don't fill the tank which I am still using..Getting avg mpg of 45+ on my way to work & 38 + on my way home.Love Serius esp since this is NPR membership drive week. We purchased two new VWs from Gilboy VW Ford this year and from the very beginning this dealership immediately differentiated itself from the 4-5 other dealerships we had also contacted in the Wilkes-Barr and from the very beginning this dealership immediately differentiated itself from the 4-5 other dealerships we had also contacted in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton/Stroudsburg/Allentown area about the purchase of a new VW. We received a quick, helpful response from Kelly their internet sales manager and she was the only one that made a real attempt to help us find the trim level, interior/exterior and options we wanted along with getting us an appt to drive the same model of vehicle we wanted. Our salesman Tom was very courteous and helpful and kept in contact and was very straight forward with numbers, JT helped us locate/order the vehicles we wanted and regularly kept us updated via email on the build and delivery progress and xx was very helpful on the financing side when we closed the deals. Gilboy offered us competitive prices on two hard-to-find VW models without playing any xx pricing games which was a real nice change from what we experienced in the past. Ultimately, we are very pleased with how the whole sales process went. I’ve only dealt with the VW service dept. once at this point, so I cannot comment too much in this area, but everything went smooth during the appointment and the car was clean and ready for us when it was supposed to be, so hopefully that will continue. More

This is the 2nd car I have bought from Gilboy, a used buick from Calvin, 3 years ago, which I still have and am happy with and now this lease escape from Dave. Scott was a good and patient sales person with us,and I was glad because I am handicaped and he didn't rush me or get pushy like the other dealerships we went to. We were disappointed on other dealerships how they acted towards us you are voted most courteous over two others we visited. One sort of shoved us off and the other was pushy on selling a high milage caravan which we weren't that interested in.They both strike out in our book. I even bought my first truck at the other dealer. I got service that day that wasn't so pushy . Well Gilboy will get all my service now. Including my inspections since I bought the truck there I will get it inspected there.I also will send my friends to Scott in sales if they are looking for a vehicle. More
I communicated extensively with Jim Heidecker (internet sales manager) about purchasing a Blue 2011 Ford Fusion ($16,500). I was told the the car was in "New" condition. I was also told that the car was not smoked in and had no defects that "jumped out at him". After travelling 250 miles each way (with a wheelchair) to buy the car, I arrived at Gilboy Ford only to find the following: - The car smelled of smoke and had 2-3 burns on the seat, center console and overhead console. -It was covered in tar on the rocker panels and was told they could not get it off. -There was a long gouge on the rear lower plastic bumper that was visable from the side and needed body work to fix. -There was a very large driver's door dent that needed body work. -When I test drove the car and applied the brake, the car nearly shook itself to death and was told it was only rust on the rotors, when in fact they were severely warped. When I asked Jim about all of these defects in the "Like New" car, I was told "If you want new, you have to pay for new". This car's condition was severely misrepresented to me and they knew full and well I would be travelling 250 miles to purchase the automobile. Jim and his manager said they would take $100 off the price to compensate for the defects. I valued the defects to be in excess of $2,000. Needless to say they sent me off without a car because we decided not to throw good money after bad. We could not believe anything we were told about the car. BUYER BEWARE !!!!! More

I want to give a big thanks to Jim Heidecker for making this as painless as possible. He helped me factory order my Focus since no one around here had what I was looking for. The wait for it paid off and I extremely satisfied with my purchase and my working with Jim. Very professional and knowledgeable of the cars he's selling. Thank you Jim, I greatly appreciate it. More

I had a trade with negative equity and yet was still able to purchase a VW with a LOWER monthly payment! Rick made this experience so easy! I had visited many other dealerships in the past month to try to find a replacement for my rear-wheel drive vehicle that I feared would not get me safely through the winter. Other dealerships failed to get the numbers to work for a smoothe purchase experience. Rick and the team did this on the first try with no haggling! It was wonderful! This was my second purchase from Gilboy (my first was in 2000 when I purchased a brand new Jetta) My first purchase was every bit as good as my second. I will NEVER use another dealership for any of my automobile purchases. More
