We have been dealing with the Gerald Family since 1957 with Bob, then Jeff & Neil. My father started with all the Mercury Wagons with Bob at the Skokie, IL dealership. I chose my 1st Japanese car with Bob, then Jeff & Neil. My father started with all the Mercury Wagons with Bob at the Skokie, IL dealership. I chose my 1st Japanese car from this dealer because I was pressured at their Naperville, IL dealership and everything from the word go was professional. Dan Clark was a class act and Alicia did everything to make sure that it was a smooth transaction. It was unfortunate that she was not with the company about 1 week after the delivery of my car but know people change jobs. I bought a 2012 new Impreza 5-door with the sports trim and love the car. I stopped over at the dealer to have them just look at a tire that I had to have fixed because of road hazard to double check the tire and everything checked out and with no charge. I would give this dealer a 5 star rating. The added feature of a lifetime warranty for the drive train was also a deciding feature in going to this dealer. I had another offer for $100.00 less and that dealer told me things that were not true at all. I would highly recommend to talk to Dan Clark from the internet sales and get a sales person who's personality matches yours. I walked away from Naperville since the salesman tried to push me into buying the day I came in to just look. I told him I would buy the car from North Aurora since it was close to my home and he told me that Jeff Gerald had nothing to even do with his dealership. I called Jeff and told him and we made the deal that I should go over to North Aurora and talk to Dan Clark and he would find me a nice sales person who would not pressure me. The experience was great and now in the last 3 years our family with this car have bought 3 cars from their various dealerships. More
The sales department was terrific. I was able to take several test drives and narrow the options I wanted. When it arrived, it was actually missing one feature I desired because another dealer mis-represented the car's features. Dan worked with the service department to have it installed before I picked up the car for delivery and at the price we initially negotiated. The service department was the initial reason I came to Gerald. My previous Subbie was kept in great working condition for over 9 years. The Green Team does an awesome job and is always helpful in finding a way to fit into my schedule, whether its a first in the morning appointment or the need to have a loaner car. Gerald is a fantastic dealership. More
I serviced my 2008 Outback at this dealership for about 3 years when I used a new Outback as a loaner while my car was getting serviced. I loved the 2012 Outback. I did a lot of internet research and then contacted Jon about the cars they had in stock. Went up on a Saturday morning and 2 hours later drove out with an awesome car and a super deal. I was ready to by the OUTBACK but he suggested the Lagacy would be much better for us because getting in and out of the car would be much better for us. After he took us out for a drive i was confinced that this was the car for us.So far we are happy that we bought this car. Also when me daughter wanted to by a car i went with her and bob helped us again with a used car for my daughted and he was the same way with her as with me. And she bought the car he showed us. So if i can recommend a great sales person to any of my friends, Bob Shewalter would be the person so see. More
