I shopped online all the Hyundai dealers within 100 miles of my home in Wisconsin. The best true car price was offered by Gerald, so I initiated email discussions with Tony Scaglione. Several local dealers warned me to be careful about buying out of state, and especially to watch out for various bait & switch type scams they had heard of other dealers using to get customers to buy from them. So I was very careful to cover all the bases. I knew what I wanted, and Tony understood my concern and was very good about offering responses to my specific questions via email. In fairly short order, I was confident enough to make the drive to North Aurora, IL. When I arrived, by appointment, I was greeted by Tony and the rest of the staff at Gerald. They had the two cars I had asked about gassed and ready to be test driven. All I had to do was drive them and decide which I wanted. The price was all negotiated ahead of time, and Tony and the rest of the staff were good to their word. We finished the transaction expeditiously, and I drove my new Sonata home. According to the onboard calculator, I got 40.3 mpg on the trip back to Wisconsin. The car is great, the Hyundai warranty is great it's worth noting that Gerald tacks on a lifetime powertrain warranty on top of the manufacturer's 10 year, 100,000 mile PT warranty), and all the staff were hospitable, accommodating, and faithful to their promises. If I needed another car, I would buy from Gerald. More

TONY IS EXTREMELY LOW KEYED. HE NEVER PRESSURED US OR FORCED US TO MAKE A QUICK DECISION. HE WANTS THE CUSTOMER TO BE SATISFIED.HE TREATS HIS CUSTOMERS AS IF THEY WERE FRIENDS OR FAMILY. Like many people I use the Internet to shop and optimize my time. I requested an Internet quote from Gerald and other local Hyundai dealers. I already new what vehicle and options I wanted and dealer cost b my time. I requested an Internet quote from Gerald and other local Hyundai dealers. I already new what vehicle and options I wanted and dealer cost based on extensive research so when I received the quote I was pleasantly pleased. I hade reservations about dealing with Gerald based on neighbors feedback but decided to call them anyway. Before I went to Gerald I stopped by CarMax and test drove 4 mid size hybrids before going to Gerald. I met Tony Scaglione and we browsed the inventory that the quote covered. Tony was very informative and we took out a Sonata Hybrid for the usual test ride. At the end it the test ride Tony and I discussed price in a no hassle manner. We were able to settle on a number that was below the Internet quote and he arranged it so I could drive to South Elgin so my wife could look at and drive the Sonata Hybrid 15 miles down to Gerald. We were pleased to get 40 mpg in mixed driving. Once we got back weasel decision to buy and Tony put his side of the paper work together. On the finance office it was pretty painless working with Mike Chino. Unfortunately I did not pay enough attention and was sold a third party service contract. I did not realize this until later and working with Nick Smiley and Mike we were able to upgrade to a Platinum zero deductible Hyundai service contract for Leeds than the third party contract. In all my years of buying cars, this is definetly a great example of a no hassle deal at a great price. Great job Gerald team. More
This is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I dealt with Tony Scaglione and from the very beginning felt that he was genuine in his interest in helping me get exactly what I was looking fo had. I was on a strict budget and he was very understanding of that and worked tirelessly to find me something I felt comfortable buying and liked at the same time. I had searched online for cars that I was interested in and talked to several dealers in this process and Gerald by far stood out among all of them. I was not pressured at any time and Mike was great in explaining everything in detail when it came to the financing part. They were definitely worth the hour drive to get there and I am very glad that I made the decision to buy from them. I absolutely love my car and have already recommended Gerald to a few different people and will continue to do so. I can't say enough good things about the treatment and level of customer service that I received from beginning to end. More
Within the last 30 days, I have purchased two 2013 Hyundai's from Gerald. The first vehicle was a 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T AWD fully loaded. That was 3 weeks ago. I worked with Dany, after contacting the dealership via instant message over the net. I saw the car in inventory, and wanted it right away. It's a color combo you don't see around much. The car is gorgeous. I asked them over the instant message very directly, what's your best price on this car? Within 5 minutes, they emailed me back, and the price was AMAZING, to say the least. I emailed them back and told them I'm coming in to drive it in an hour. When I arrived they had it washed and ready to drive. The car is everything I could have wanted and so much more. I traded in an 07 Hyundai. Dany and Nick never swayed from the price they offered me via email. The other thing I noticed, these guys are not in the business of the high pressure sales tactics nonsense. At no point did I feel pressured? Nick and Dany worked up a number for my trade in , and we had a deal. Enter Eddie, the finance manager. Eddie's one of those guys you just like right away. Salt of the earth, and no pitches. . He explained everything in great detail without wasting time. These folks know their product line inside and out. Any question I had, was answered in a way that I liked, they are very articulate, across the board. I have to give a nice mention to Mike, he's the guy I communicated with on the instant message. He could not have been more helpful. I ended up working with Dany, because Mike was busy on another deal. This place has a big inventory, and a lot of customers. Oh, and the dealership is gorgeous. So we drive home that night with our new Santa Fe, and we're way beyond thrilled. What an awesome vehicle. A few weeks later I decided it was time to trade in our old second car on something new. I wanted another Santa Fe, but my common sense took control and steered me to look into the 2013 Tuscon LTD. The new design is sharp and the LTD is packed with lots of standard goodies. I emailed Dany requesting pricing on 5 different vehicles. He got back to me exactly when he said he would. Once again, I was blown away on the great prices I was offered. I took a ride out today to test drive the Tuscon LTD and Base SF. I decided on the Tuscon, as it offered a lot of bang for the buck, and is loaded with great features for both convenience and safety. I asked Dany to get some of the paper work done in advance so I could get out of there fast. He, Eddie, and Nick got it all done and made this buying experience a delight. It's very refreshing to go into a car dealership and deal with people that are not only the ultimate professionals, but down to earth and eager to please their customers. It's easy to see why they do such a nice business there. It's the people, the attitude, and the great customer service. I shopped two other dealers, and they weren't even close when it came to the level of really caring. This is my 5th or 6th vehicle purchased from the Gerald Organization. Mr. Gerald should be proud of the team of professionals that represent him and his family. I would also add that the brands they sell are lucky to have such a high class group representing them. If you haven't shopped Gerald, you owe it to yourself to give them a chance. Buying a new vehicle is usually a hassle. At Gerald Hyundai, it's a real pleasure. That's a rare thing in the car business in my experience. Thanks Dany, Eddie, Nick, and Mike. We're thrilled with our new Hyundai's and the deals you made for us. Finally a quick word on the service department. I've only had one visit with them so far, but based on that one experience, the service department is equal to the Sales and Finance departments. Nice people all around. Sorry for the long rambling, but when I'm happy about a buying experience, I like the people who helped me to know.
