WORST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! I never write reviews but my experience was so bad i felt i needed too, the sales people treat you like dirt and try to use every sales tactic they have to rip you reviews but my experience was so bad i felt i needed too, the sales people treat you like dirt and try to use every sales tactic they have to rip you off. They used high pressure sales tactics on me and forced me into overpaying for my lease. They took my car keys away from me and would not return them to me till I signed the lease. I am an older man and they completely took advantage of me because of that, I tried to return my lease the next day because i was so disgusted by them and they would not let me, i even offered them $2000 to take it back on top of my original down payment. I spoke with both the owners and the manager Nick G and neither of them were willing to work with me or help me resolve our issues instead they threatened to have me arrested if i returned the car and even threatened to have the police come to my house.. Did i mention they still owe me $1600 for my trade in that I have yet received (I payed my first car payment and down payment for lease and still have not received my $1600)! I am an honest man and always do business legitimate and in a fair manor and Gate Way Kia Of North Brunswick was the complete opposite of this.PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM GATEWAY KIA THEY WILL ROB YOU AND YOU WILL NOT GET A GOOD DEAL. I tried calling them dozens of time to resolve my issues and they will not return my calls! Frankly i don't even know how they are still in business. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Very unfriendly staff not willing to negotiate with you on prices and use high pressure sales tactics making the buying experience miserable a long with arrest threats! More

Both Widmar and Keith showed professionalism and patience during my whole sales experience. Widmar was knowledgeable and had no problem showing me both the Kia Sportage and Sorrento. He let me test drive bot during my whole sales experience. Widmar was knowledgeable and had no problem showing me both the Kia Sportage and Sorrento. He let me test drive both vehicles and explained both cars bumper to bumper to me. He explained the difference between those vehicles and showed me both engines and how they were built and what it meant. Keith was friendly and went out of his way to figure out a way I could afford the car I wanted to purchase. He never lost his patience during the time we spent negotiating a price. He always remained friendly and professional even when it seemed we were not going to reach a deal. After we reached an agreement Widmar had no problem in showing me all the intricacies of the vehicle I purchased despite the late hour. It is because of these two gentlemen I have no problem in recommending Gateway Kia to anyone interested in purchasing a KIA. More
First, let me be clear, I am not the typical new car purchaser. So far in my lifetime I have purchased, leased and financed over eighteen new cars. The last eight were all cash sales with no trade-ins purchaser. So far in my lifetime I have purchased, leased and financed over eighteen new cars. The last eight were all cash sales with no trade-ins, leasing or financing. In addition I have been involved in the new car purchases with six of my children and grandchildren where my role was the guardian of their financial security. Lastly, early in my life while I was in college, for four years, I was the personal assistant to the owner of a mega dealership. So, I became very familiar with the ‘car sales culture’, which has not really changed over the last forty years. Now my visit last week, on Wednesday a typical slow car sales day in the automotive culture, to this dealership. Arriving about 11 AM, I was assigned to a salesperson, to remain anonymous so he does not get fired leaving him without shelter and food for his family. I told him exactly what I wanted, vehicle type, trim line, color’s in/out. I asked if such a car was in stock and ready to be delivered today, as I was ready to purchase such today. I was told yes. Great, I said. I then asked to see a blank copy of the ‘retail sales order’, which is a standard document in use at about 100% of dealerships. I was given the ‘order’, to which I found the ‘out the door’ price line and entered what I would be willing to pay at once, as a cash buyer, no trade in, financing or leasing required or was I eligible for any incentives, with those of the manufacture or the dealer. A real simple ‘deal’, well defined as to what the price included or did not include. Off to the ‘sales manager’ the sales person went assuring me that I would get a ‘great deal’. Of course the sales manager suddenly appeared; indicating his price, out the door would be $5,428 higher than my price. I asked, how come, as my price was carefully researched at all the car shopping sites and provided a $1,000 profit for the dealer. The car had a factory MSRP of $21,836. The sales manager smiled and told me that they do not sell cars to cash buyers as it is not profitable. They chase away such buyers, more profit comes from the trade in, leasing, and financing buyers. His honesty was not expected. I thanked him for not wasting any more of my time. The whole time spent was at the dealership was about 25 minutes. Best I could say for the dealership is that they were friendly until ‘price’ appeared. More

In addition he was knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and reasonable. I felt instantly relieved knowing that I was not being BS'ed and actually received a fair deal on a 2013 Kia Optima SX. I'm in love with the car, pleased with the service, and would definitely recommend Manning and this dealership to anyone. More
