I was on vacation at Rosemary Beach when my car died in the middle of the road. Getting the car towed back to where I was staying was a process. I was advised to get then it towed to AutoNation Ford Panama the middle of the road. Getting the car towed back to where I was staying was a process. I was advised to get then it towed to AutoNation Ford Panama City. They were not helpful and did not care that I was out of town and had no vehicle. The best they could do was an argument and no appointment until the end of the month. I then called Gary Smith Ford and spoke to Amanda. She was so sweet and understood the pickle I was in. She got my car towed that day and fixed it that afternoon. She even had the shuttle pick us up, an hour and 30 minutes away. Getting there I got my keys from Lynette who was also so sweet and understanding. I owed nothing due to the warranty and was able to have a vehicle. Amanda helped me so much and saved my vacation from a potentially bigger mess. Best Ford I have ever delt with! More
I purchased my vehicle and a extended warranty from Gary Ford. I have had all of my oil changes and a few recalls taken care of there. I would say most of my experiences with the service department has been Ford. I have had all of my oil changes and a few recalls taken care of there. I would say most of my experiences with the service department has been below average but this last visit will be my last. I made a appointment for some issues that I was having with the vehicle. Making the appointment was the only thing that went well. I dropped my car off at 8am and they were already 5 cars deep at the service drop off. While waiting at the counter trying to drop my keys off there was an angry customer trying to find out whether his vehicle was completed from the day before. Apparently he wasn't updated on his vehicles status and couldn't get threw to the service center so he just showed up the next morning. His car was completed just never notified. After dropping my keys off and catching a ride home. I figured that I would hear from the service department sometime that day about the status of my vehicle. Maybe they would need to order parts, possibly take longer to repair it. As it got later in the Afternoon and I hadn't heard anything I decided to click on a link that they sent me that gives you the status of your vehicle. The app said that my car was still being serviced and it gives you the name of the service member that took your car in and that would be communicating with you. I decided to call the service member. It's a hour drive for me to get there and the service department was closing in two hours. I needed to find out if and how long that I would have to make other arrangements to get back and forth to work. I couldn't get through to anyone in the service department so I left a message with the service member in charge of my vehicle and emailed the service department asking for an update. I didn't receive any reply. The next day I tried calling again. Couldn't get through left another message. Nothing the app says my car is being serviced. I decided to catch a ride over to find out what's going on. When I get there my car is in the lot and I'm told that they haven't had a chance to look at it yet. While waiting in line another customer was getting the same run around that I was and after she left the service member that was waiting on her proceeded to bash her to the next customer. I ended up leaving my vehicle there. I did receive a call and text the next day saying my car was ready. It was never fixed they ended up needing to order parts to repair it. I was told that they would call me when the parts come in. That was over a week ago. To top it all off while picking my car up the lost my keys and ended up waiting 30 minutes for them to find them. Ok - team at Gary Smith Ford are some of the best. So why do I say this? Since 2019, They have sold my immediate family the following- new 2019 F150 King Ranch, new 2019 Expedition Ltd, used 2015 M So why do I say this? Since 2019, They have sold my immediate family the following- new 2019 F150 King Ranch, new 2019 Expedition Ltd, used 2015 Mercedes CLA, 2022 Bronco, new 2021 Mustang GT, 2023 F150 King Ranch, 2023 F150 Platinum and a 2023 Explorer Ltd. Was everything perfect? Of course not. 😂 This is real life…it’s never going to be perfect. These are mechanical machines made by humans and robots that humans built. Anyone that wants a Ford product or quality used car, this is the place. I’m picky, somewhat demanding and they managed my transactions flawlessly. Rusty is the Mgr Jone in Finance Nicely done. More
Buyer BEWARE of Gary Smith! We purchased a Ford Expedition from Markus at Gary Smith Ford. After driving the vehicle home by the next morning we realized it had an oil leak. We purchased a Ford Expedition from Markus at Gary Smith Ford. After driving the vehicle home by the next morning we realized it had an oil leak. So we had a mechanic look at it who said it was likely coming from the turbo. I contacted the salesmen who asked us to bring it in to have it looked at. After looking at it he notified me that there was NO LEAK. In fact he indicated that it was •residual from the oil change “ at the time of the sale. When I further asked him how could this be the case if I had to put several quarts of oil in the vehicle in a short amount of time. He then said, he was mistaken the service dept had found a leak but it was from the oil pan. Which I again questioned if the leak was coming from hire up and was told absolutely not it was due to “ blow back”. We all are aware that oil doesn’t flow up. I already had bad taste in my mouth bc he tried to outright lie and do nothing i should have just contacted my attorney at this point. I however hoped I was wrong and if the oil pan was replaced it would be resolved. I brought it in Markus told me they would have the vehicle for at least 24 hours after the part was repaired due to the time needed to cure and ensure the proper seal. Prior to the 24 hour mark from dropping the vehicle off I was asked to come pick up. Upon return home within 24 hours it was apparent nothing had been fixed. I can no longer park in my driveway and my street in front of my house is riddled with oil spots! We took it back to Gary Smith Ford and low and behold it is the turbo leaking!!! They refused to fix it and even when offered to cover parts and then pay for labor for knowingly selling a faulty vehicle. The sales manager refused to be of any assistance and made the final call not to correct their mistake. There was not proper inspection of this vehicle prior to selling which you would expect from a Ford Dealership. So just beware if you buy from them that they have not inspected your vehicle. Will lie to you about what is wrong with your vehicle and leave you owing lots of money to get it repaired for an issue that they sold it with!! More
The service team at Gary Smith Ford did an incredible job of completing a oil change, air filter change and a tire rotation as well as a warranty project from corporate in less than 1 1/2 hours! To say the least it was a stressful process. Nobody calls to let you know status updates & communication with the customers could definitely use some help. The SERVICE DEPARTMENT tried charging me over $400 to fix a 88 cent bushing that needed to be replaced. I do want to say that in the PARTS DEPARTMENT the cashier was extremely helpful & went out of her way to get my total cut in half. It was greatly appreciated & nice knowing not everyone there is trying to get the most out of you. More

Totally scammed me for my money sold me a Jeep Wrangler that they said nothing was wrong with 4 days later everything that could go wrong goes wrong every check engine light comes on. Has major oil leak, s that they said nothing was wrong with 4 days later everything that could go wrong goes wrong every check engine light comes on. Has major oil leak, steering linkage is almost broken, front brakes are gone and best of all the whole exhaust system has a major leak and wont pass state emissions test. If you think I’m lieing you better check into other reviews on this place before you buy there. SCAMMERS are here. Everday. Go somewhere safe with your money. SCAMMERS,LIES, DISRESPECTFUL. Robbed me for my hard earned money by selling me a lemon. Jeep was running fine for 4 days then all kinds of check engine lights came on the total exhaust system is shot, steering linkage arm is cracked almost broken and it has a oil leak. I don’t see how they are still in business doing shady stuff like that I tried to call and resolve the issue peacefully and was told to xxxx off and get a lawyer.. And now I see from other reviews that this is common practice for this dealership. Please be aware before purchasing from them that they are only looking for a quick sale and not on your side More
