We have never left the dealership unhappy with the vehicle we purchased or the payment for the vehicle, There has never been a time that Garvey has not done everything possible to work with us to get us the best deal and a dependable car. Total disappointment Garvey VW was servicing my wife's 2014 Touareg and wound up crashing it! Total damage was $4500. After three days of unsuccessful attempts to have pi Garvey VW was servicing my wife's 2014 Touareg and wound up crashing it! Total damage was $4500. After three days of unsuccessful attempts to have pictures emailed I drove down to speak with the owner, Mark Garvey. He explained to me he took time out of his morning that day to go look at my car at the body shop and that the damage was not bad. Mark said he asked the body shop manager if they could just buff out the damage! The body shop manager said NO. At that point Mark suggested I drive down to the body shop and take a look for myself.... And this is when the truth comes out! Body shop manager assures me Mark Garvey didn't come to body shop! I went back to confront Mark Garvey and he explained that he never really looked at my car. He says he drove to body shop but never got out of his car....at this point I tell him he looked me straight in my eyes and lied to me. He didn't care! I asked what he was going to do to make things right as my car was no longer accident free and thus resulting in lowering its value. He said he would do nothing other than have car fixed. I was extremely upset and disappointed and I let him know. A week later when car was ready I thought Mark would try and make things right.... an Apology would have been nice or maybe a few free oil changes, free car washes.....something! Nothing...... all he did was glared at me and didn't say a word. This is a guy that parks his car in the only handicapped parking spot on dealership lot!!!! Need I say more!!!! I sold my wife's VW a week later at a loss and will never deal with Garvey again! The worst dealership I have ever come across..... STAY AWAY!!!! More

Needless to say... I went home with a vehicle I wanted in the price range I wanted, and ill be saving huge now!! I recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to go see Matt.. He really did a great job! Yesterday I traded in my beloved 2010 Jetta Sportwagon, which I had hoped to drive into the sunset, for a 2017 Golf. Not only did they help me with the computer challenges (I'm old), but made me feel so welcome, that I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone when I go there for service. They generously provided me with snow tires as my Jetta had different sized tires. I trust these people, and I've never felt that way about a dealership before. (They had been servicing my Jetta for a few years, and I kept coming back because it was comfortable and pricing was competetive.) More

Service Manager Kicked me Out! My story is a long one which includes buying several cars from Garvey Volkswagen and actually giving them an excellent customer service review. I should have waited for the service to be performed. I was given and still have a blue key-chain made out of plastic which offers four free services to be used at any time. One was a NYS Inspection, One was a tire rotation, One was, an oil change, and one was a wash and vacuum. When I tried to redeem this key chain a year later when my car was under a year old and had 4,0000 miles on it I was told no by the Service Manager. I asked the owner and salesman for a reply seeing how that's where I got the blue key-chain. No response from them and when I asked the service manager why they wouldn't stand behind their salesman who gave me this key-chain I was kicked out of the dealership! Apparently the Service Manager runs the dealership. Be advised and Buyer Beware. More
one happy customer i bought a certified pre-owned 2 yr old jetta diesel wagon from garvey 3 yrs ago. im happy with the deal i got and they have done all my service work. i bought a certified pre-owned 2 yr old jetta diesel wagon from garvey 3 yrs ago. im happy with the deal i got and they have done all my service work. the radio went on it about a month past warranty date. a new radio was quoted at $1600+. ebay price was $950- ish. a crazy amount of money either way. my husband discussed it with the service mgr and in the end, the company wound up coming through for me and replaced the radio at no cost to me. im extremely happy with how they have treated me and do recommend them if you're looking to buy a car. my daughter also bought a used car there and they treated her equally as well. More
