After spending over 3 hours in the dealership buying a simple jeep. I specified what my budget was and how many miles a year i needed we came to an agreement and of course it was to the highest dollar amo simple jeep. I specified what my budget was and how many miles a year i needed we came to an agreement and of course it was to the highest dollar amount that we spoke about we signed all the necessary paperwork for the dealership and the bank. I left with my jeep and was told it be a week or two before recieving my plates. After returning three weeks later to see where my plates were i was told it could be up to a month before they would arrive. I get phone call from Anthony telling me i have to come in there is something wrong with the paperwork i signed almost a month ago. When i come down to the dealership i saw Anthony and he told me he was with a customer and i had to wait, fine i told him i had a appointment and i could only wait 20 minutes, a half hour later i left without seeing him. Now a month and still no plates i return to dealership he sits me down and tells me there was mistake with paperwork that i got the wrong deal and i owe another 1985.00 with i balked and said because u made a mistake u have the nerve to call a customer back in after a month and ask for almost 2000.00 more. So after it was clear i was not paying any more money he had to collect the 2nd month payment for the jeep cause the paperwork had not been finalized so i made the monthly payment to him which i thought was strange. And MIRACULOUSLY the plates were ready the next day. Thats my experience with Freehold Jeep More
I brought my jeep in to get looked at, before even looking at the issues, the service writer is shooting down my issues. Have the tech look at the issue and then come back to me. My issues went unreso looking at the issues, the service writer is shooting down my issues. Have the tech look at the issue and then come back to me. My issues went unresolved and had to be fixed by myself. Why have a warranty then? The sales staff was pleasant but the service dept has caused me to look somewhere else. I would just stay clear. One more thing, the finance guy is one of the biggest BS artist's I have ever encountered. He gets upset when you tell him your not interested in anything extra. More

Horrendous service. I walked in on a Thursday to purchase a truck I saw online and traveled to 3 different states for. It wasn't even on the lot, we traveled 10 minutes to some warehouse where they kept the vehicle. The truck was definitely in ok shape, but needed some work done. Back at the dealership the deal made was to give it a safety check, clean it up and fix certain items on the truck (a shattered mirror). Along with the airbag sensor lights. Of course this was all agreed upon and I would pick up the truck the NEXT morning with all those things complete. Contract signed. Fast forward to Friday 5pm. The truck was sitting on the lot as it was from when I test drove it the day prior. Nothing was clean, not even the ketchup stains on the backseat from the previous owner. I began getting the runaround, which I should have realized it was the first of many. Excuses excuses excuses. The vehicle was unsafe to drive, but hey they were willing to let me take it off the lot. First thing first I take it to a mechanic, not 1 or 2..but 3 different opinions. Truck had a laundry list of problems, which were never addressed or even made aware of by the dealer. Now the exhaust leak, airbag sensor, rotors, brakes, steering alignment etc..were a few things I wasn't to concerned about. BUT when I received a call on 3 separate occasions, by 3 separate places that detailed the same exact problem, I became overly concerned. Apparently the grinding I heard when turning the wheel was a Front Wheel Bearing completely bare. The left wheel was hanging on, literally hanging on. It was so bad that they demanded I not drive it away just so I don;t hurt anyone. My warranty did not cover that apparently, you know the extended warranty they sell you on but fail to mention the difference between the coverage you would get on AWD FWD and 2wheel drive vehicles. I of course called, and got the run around- AGAIN!! I did what anyone else would do, had it fixed then all the other items that were required I would follow up with the warranty company. Well I tried that, my vehicles warranty was not even for my truck, they had it under a chrysler 300, and my truck is obviously not a chrysler 300. So no warranty work could have been completed. I opted to get out of the warranty, and put the money towards my financed amount. I have yet to follow up with the finance company, but i'm sure that got screwed up as well. Overall I have put $4500.00 in 3 weeks into a truck that needed to be repaired, when I was told the truck was in "great condition". This dealership does nothing but raise your blood pressure and give you a run around, constantly, always. Do not bother trying to leave them a voice mail, they will not return it. Read the other reviews..STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!! There is just so much more about this place I'm to lazy to write about, i'm tired of being aggravated, i'm a laidback guy but this place really knows how to piss you off. In summary I baught the vehicle end of December. Been to the dealer 7 times and 23 phone calls for issues. UNACCEPTABLE!! I have even looked into buying ad space in local papers just to run a review ad for this dealership. More
I walked into Freehold Chrysler-Jeep after having a bad experience at another dealership. Amy Marceca, Ed Reardon, and the entire staff there were a breath of fresh air. Their professionalism, friendline experience at another dealership. Amy Marceca, Ed Reardon, and the entire staff there were a breath of fresh air. Their professionalism, friendliness, and HONESTY made buying a new car one of the easiest transactions I've ever had to make. Amy worked with me to find a deal that satisfied both of us, and handled everything with great care... from talking with my insurance agent to bringing my car into detailing to introducing me to Ed to go over financing, and demonstrating the various functions of the vehicle. Ed was just as accomodating and exceptional. He was very detailed as we walked through all of the terms of my agreement, and made sure I understood everything I was signing. Before taking delivery of the car, I was pleasantly surprised as each dealership representative that was not with a customer/client stopped by to congratulate me on my purchase. I really cannot say enough about this experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to the dealership. More
We would NOT recommend this dealership, very shady. We purchased a used car, which we found online. ! After our test drive we noticed that the car’s steering wheel was pointing to the left and we got the purchased a used car, which we found online. ! After our test drive we noticed that the car’s steering wheel was pointing to the left and we got them to do an alignment after arguing for about 20 minutes. They also tried to charge us $895.00 internet fee! We got them to remove that, and got the car at a good price, but at the time of signing there were these additional changes $495 fee (dealership fee)…and a $250.00 (cleaning/detailing fee). What a joke, we just purchased a used car in Cherry Hill and there were no such fees on that used car. We tried to get them to remove them but they wouldn’t. Wally claimed he was losing money that they put $1800.00 of repairs into the car…yea right. After we got the car home and drove it for a week, it made a loud noise stopping. We took it back and the mechanic would not take off the wheels…he just kept spraying them. We brought the car to our mechanic and the rotors where shot. I emailed Wally to let him know that he guaranteed the car for inspection and the car would not pass with bad breaks, he never acknowledged my email. We replace all four rotors and had new brakes put on the car at a cost of $750.00. These guys are a sleazy bunch in my opinion. I would NEVER purchase a car from them again. More
BIG TIME SCAM ARTIST!!!!! I recently was looking for a BIG TIME SCAM ARTIST!!!!! I recently was looking for a used car for my youngest daughter. Since she just received her driver's license, this would b BIG TIME SCAM ARTIST!!!!! I recently was looking for a used car for my youngest daughter. Since she just received her driver's license, this would be her first car. After a lot of searching, I found a 2002 Honda Civic at this dealership that looked in pretty good condition. It was listed on the website for $5500, which is what I thought was a fair price. They had a link to send in an e-mail to get the"E PRICE". When they responded, they did not give a price. Just an invitation to come in and talk about the car. My daughter and I decided to take a trip to the dealership to check out the car. It just so happened to be on January 31, the last day of the year. As soon as we got out of the car, we were approached by a salesman. After telling him what we were looking for, he told us that the car was in the front of the dealership. This is where the better cars were located. (We were looking at cars located on the side of the building.) When we approached the car, the price on the car was $12,995. When I asked if this was the same car that was listed on the website for $5500, I was told it was. He told me not to worry about the price and asked us if we wanted to take it for a test drive. We decided to do it. He goes in the dealership to get the keys. When he came back out, he had keys and no temp license plate. He told us not to worry. We did not need the plates because he was a retired police officer. The test drive he wanted us to take consisted of going out the dealership, taking the u-turn at the first traffic light and returning to the dealership. Of course, we took a little longer ride. I pointed out to him during the test drive that the car pulled to the right (very noticeable). He told me not to worry, that it was probably only an alignment. There was a sticker in the window stating that the car was checked out by the dealership and there were no mechanical problems. (More on this later.)When I asked if they would fix it, I was told probably not. After the test drive, we were still interested despite the alignment problem. I figured that I could probably get a little break on the price to compensate for fixing it myself. When I asked if there was any room to negotiate, I was told yes, but that the price would only go up. When I asked what he meant, he asked if I really looked at the website listing. I said I thought I did. Evidently, I did not read the fine print. There was a $495 internet fee and a $4750 clunker (trade in ) fee. This now brought the price up to about $11000. I told him that this was unacceptable and that we were leaving. The salesman said he would check with the owner to see what he could do. After several minutes, he returned to tell us that it was our "LUCKY DAY" because it was the last day of the year and that we could have the car for the website price of $5500 plus tax, title and fees. We decided to purchase the car. The salesman told us that we would have to take the car home today. I asked how this was possible due to the fact that I was only putting a partial payment down and was financing the balance. He told me not to worry, that the finance person would explain. While we were waiting, they took the car in the back to prep it. When I said that my daughter did not have here license with her and that we would be back later in the day to pick it up. He told me that she could drive it home. (Remember he was a retired police officer.) When I said we would would be back later, he told us we had to take the car immediately and that I should leave my car there and come back and get it later. (I have a Brand new Dodge Durango that I purchased from Freehold Dodge (a better dealership you could not find.)) When we finally made in it to talk to the finance person, he handed us a contract for over $8000. Upon inspection of the contract, the wss a $199 window etching fee and a $995 prep fee. FOR A 10 YEAR OLD CAR!!! Again, when I went to leave, I was told to wait and they would see what they could do. When he returned, again I was told it was my "LUCKY DAY". The deal was $5500 plus tax, title & fees ($495 for paperwork.) We finalized the deal and took the car. A few days later, we took the car to our mechanic to check out and do the alignment. We had the car tuned up and checked out. We were told that the rear brakes were just about completely gone and that one of the wheel cylinders was leaking. REMEMBER THAT WINDOW STICKER THAT THE CAR WAS FREE FROM MECHANICAL DEFECTS. We made the repairs at a cost of over $235. They told us that they would let us know when the license plates come in. Three weeks later, I had to call to see if they were in. I was told that they were and decided to pick them up on my way home from work. When I got there, I was told that I owed another $25. (Again, remember the $495 fee charge.) When I asked why I owed the money, I was told that the just guessed at what the registration and plates fee would be. This from a dealership that certified 5 STAR from CHRYSLER. I wonder how many people just go in and don't read that contract and just sign on the bottom line. My advise is to avoid this dealership at all cost. More
