When we pulled to up to Freehold Jeep Artie met us outside with a welcomed smile. He was cordial, knowledgable and a gentleman. He was kind to my little girl and wife and made us feel very comfortable outside with a welcomed smile. He was cordial, knowledgable and a gentleman. He was kind to my little girl and wife and made us feel very comfortable. I told him what I was looking for, he showed me a few Jeep Cherokees that fit the bill, and then it was showtime. We took the car for a drive and I knew it was for me. We did have to negotiate and with the help of Harry the Manager, we were able to meet at a price that was fair for everyone involved. Both Artie and Harry made sure we were aware of the perks that came with the new car, (Harry gave us a personal blue-tooth / ipod / hands free training session that was much appreciated) and the whole process was enjoyable & painless. Needless to say, I drove out of Freehold a happy man. I would highly recommend the whole crew at Freehold - especially Artie & Harry. It was a great experience and I will be back in about 39 months. Thanks again guys! Brian, Corinna & Angie. More
Buying a new car sucks. No one likes car salesmen, and this place is the pits. Nice, friendly, sure while your dealing. Went in with 2 trades, 1 clunker, but that's their advertising. Wanted an orange this place is the pits. Nice, friendly, sure while your dealing. Went in with 2 trades, 1 clunker, but that's their advertising. Wanted an orange wrangler, with a 6-speed. Can't get it in orange, but they have it in black. Fine, color is not a deal breaker for me. Run credit for both my wife and I, the tell us the monthly payment is almost $700! I laughed, and in comes the manager with a magical $450 a month. That's within my budget, so fine. Then some $4000 cleaning charge, which i still find stupid, but I needed new wheels. We are military, with residences in DE,CA, and now NJ but we register all our autos in DE, because its a bit cheaper. THREE MONTHS TO GET PLATES, this is a CAR DEALERSHIP, this is WHAT THEY DO and it takes THREE months to get plates. Oh, and THEY DID NOT DO IT RIGHT, so I had to pay another $165 to get the plates. Do they offer a couple free oil changes, nope. Any sort of customer appreciation, nope. A nice gesture as to say "hey, sorry", not a chance in hell. Do they blame the DMV, of course! My wife liked the new jeep, she wanted her own. She went to Pine Belt ( I think), and got the jeep she wanted, how she wanted it, for the same price as mine WITH A BELLY UP TRADE IN! Both jeeps, will get serviced anywhere before I go anywhere near freehold jeep. Go anywhere but here, do yourself a favor. Absolutely horrible horrible experience, other then being able to say they were nice(for car salesmen at a jeep stealership) More
Run. Run as far and as fast as you can from this dealership. Lost paperwork. Changed prices. Overcharge and tried to hide it (illegal!). Lied, lied and lied some more. Wasn't until we went to report dealership. Lost paperwork. Changed prices. Overcharge and tried to hide it (illegal!). Lied, lied and lied some more. Wasn't until we went to report them to the state licensing board and the Better Business Bureau did we get money that was owed to us. We are spreading the word about this place. We were interested in buying a few cars for our business but, after they way they handled our personal purchase, they will never get our, or our family's and friends', business. We can't even drive by without flinching. Sad part is that they really DO NOT CARE if you ever buy from them again. They have no interest in repeat business. They are a one night stand that screws you badly...STAY AWAY. More
Be aware skillful scam tactics, they will give you a good price in the beginning, make you sign all registration and other bs paperwork and all the way at the end will hit you with all the hidden fees, even price in the beginning, make you sign all registration and other bs paperwork and all the way at the end will hit you with all the hidden fees, even though in the beginning I asked both sales person and finance manager if there are any additional fees to the price. I was assured there was not, guess what on the contract which you get to see at the very end you get cleaning and delivery fee $998 some bs terrorism fee $85, documentation fee (which is ok with me), some other $900 fee, few other small fees and than you get taxed on all the total, so guess what if the price of the car that you agree with them $25,500 you will end up paying almost 30,000. Also, watch what you are signing, gotcha papers!!! Be aware!!! More
Looked online for a used 2006 ford explorer eddie bauer edition and found one...looked like a good deal for $15000.00 especially when i spoke to ryan and he told me that they had a special of any trade in edition and found one...looked like a good deal for $15000.00 especially when i spoke to ryan and he told me that they had a special of any trade in being worth $5500.00 so this was all great! I told my girlfriend and we drove 2 hours to see this truck that I had asked them 3 times all the way up to 8pm of the night before about it being in stock and each time they said "yes it's here, no problem at all". Well, we pull in to the dealership and alas, no truck. We asked a sales person other than Ryan or Matt because neither of them were able to be found, about the location of the truck. She said "oh, i think it was sold last night", i say to her, well that's not right because Matt told me it was in stock last night. She goes to speak to a manager and tells me it was "moved to another dealership", well then i ask, what dealer is it at? can you get it here now?, well she runs away again and says, "no the best we can do is tuesday". Well I got very upset and a manager approached me and said "sir, the truck is sold as of right now, can we interest you in another car?" I said "no we drove 2 hours for that specific truck and were apparently lied to" and walked out. Well, 2 days later (Monday) Matt calls me to tell me the truck went to an auction and wasn't sold so it was available now....but get this, now all of a sudden the $15000.00 price was only if you had a trade, so if you didn't the REAL price of the truck was $20500.00! way above even kelly blue book! So the original conversation i had with Ryan in the beginning was a lie also! This web of lies did nothing but waste my time and my pregnant girlfriend's as well, to make it worse they didn't even apologize to her for making us drive all that way for nothing on a Saturday. After all of this even if they had agreed to my price I was lied to so much in a short period of time by these circus clowns I wouldn't feel comfortable doing business with them anyway. Steer clear of this place! More
We had a horrible experience at Freehold Jeep. We went to Freehold Jeep early Saturday evening with the intent of purchasing a vehicle that day. When we entered the showroom there were two sales people who i Freehold Jeep early Saturday evening with the intent of purchasing a vehicle that day. When we entered the showroom there were two sales people who immediately walked away from us. We stood in the middle of the show room for 15 minutes before a Manager approached us. He said he would have a sales person for us as soon as one becomes free...even though there were sales people outside smoking on the side doing nothing. Another 15 minutes go by and he goes and gets Rob for us. Woo-Hoo(sarcasm). We already went to another dealership a day before to get numbers. So this should of been easy. However, it wasn't. Rob tried to figure payments on his smart phone and kept waving it in my face despite me telling him I don't care about what he came up with on his phone. They wouldn't call it in to the bank to get a rate. Instead since it was approaching closing time they wanted us to leave a deposit and come back on Monday, the last day of the month. The Manager even put in writing that the payment wouldn't exceed X amount per month. We made it clear we wouldn't even be interested AT that payment. He said don't worry. We wrote a check for $500 and they were going to get a different vehicle on Monday. On Monday we were told to come to the dealership at 8pm because that's when the vehicle would be there by. Apparently it takes an entire day to get a vehicle from 1 hour away. When we arrived we asked about the payment and Rob couldn't give it to us. He kept on telling us the Finance Manager would explain everything. Rob couldn't answer any of our questions and he was absolutely rude. We waited over an hour past closing time to get in to the Finance Office. When we sat down Ed Reardon the finance manager started off with talking down to my sister about her credit...which was degrading. He told her the best APR he could get her on 72 months was 8.9% but she should be 16% with her fico score...bs. He then told us the payment which exceeded the max payment written on the retail order by the other manager. He had Etch and Gap insurance included on the deal when we weren't offered it. They also had all these hidden fees.. their doc was $495, they charged you to run your credit ($79) and $8.30 for an Online Registration fee that NO ONE could explain. We told Ed OUR max payment but there were no Sales Managers to authorize the deal since everyone left. While we were sitting there Ed took a personal call in front of us and told the person (his wife?) that he was being held up and hopefully he can get out of there soon to say good night to "her" (his daughter?) which made us feel terrible for keeping him. He told us he would work on the deal first thing in the morning. We left. On the way out we filled in Rob and he told us we still have a deal and he will follow up on it tomorrow. The next day came and we found out Ed wasn't due in until 2pm and Rob was off. We spoke to another manager who now informed us that the $750 rebate on the Jeep is now gone but he was going to speak to Ed and the bank and call us right back. We didn't receive a call back. We called them and Ed gave my sister their best payment which mathematically didn't make sense. He then told her "this is as good as it gets.. if you think you are going to come in here and start negotiating don't bother we won't be able to do it and you can chalk it up to a life lesson learned". SO what did we do? We took his advice. We chalked up our terrible experience at Freehold Jeep to a life lesson learned and went to Seaview Jeep. At Seaview Jeep they immediately greeted us upon entering the showroom. With in 10 minutes they answered all of our questions and gave us a 7% rate and beat their payment by $20/month. Seaview Jeep had NO hidden fees and their doc was only $250 NOT $495. I would NEVER recommend Freehold Chrysler Jeep to ANYONE. 1) they are rude 2) they lie 3) on every vehicle out side they have addendum's marking up their vehicles by $3,995 for a simple pin stripe (or "decorative packagage") that doesn't exist on the cars and 4) they don't know how to value your time. Go somewhere else this place is a joke! More
My experience with Freehold Chrystler was why I hate car sales. The online pricing is BS and they try to hit you with increadible fees after they get you to come in. Do not beleive anything they put onlin sales. The online pricing is BS and they try to hit you with increadible fees after they get you to come in. Do not beleive anything they put online it is a scam to get you there. They wasted my time and I ended up going to Ford in Oldbridge and getting a fair deal with a staff that treated me with respect and I did not feel like they were trying to rip me off. Our sales guy was nice but other than that it was a horrible experience. I would deter anyone that wanted to go there. More
My husband and I visited Freehold Jeep for a trade in. Our entire buying experience was great. Every one was friendly and excited to see us. We were greeted when we arrived in the parking lot and escourt Our entire buying experience was great. Every one was friendly and excited to see us. We were greeted when we arrived in the parking lot and escourted to our sales consultant Robert Rispoli who was excited to service us. Robert listened and worked with us, and together with the staff provided us with a great deal. Robert and Harry Palmer (very knowledgeable)were able to answer all of our questions and allowed us to select the jeep that best fit our needs and family lifestyle. We left Freehold Jeep with a new 2012 Jeep. We enjoying driving our new jeep with all it's new features. Not only is it comfortable, and safe, but also stylish. It is also comforting to know that Robert and Harry are there to continue to provide service (which they did when I went in for my plates). It's the beginning of a great new relationship! More
Biggest line of crap that I have ever heard and had to deal with. Lies from the get go, and lies through the sale and lies and confusion afterwards....I'm probably going to report them to the BBB for fals deal with. Lies from the get go, and lies through the sale and lies and confusion afterwards....I'm probably going to report them to the BBB for false advertising. Told them up front what I wanted, what I had to trade and what I had to spend on payments...I had them run the credit ahead of time before I made the trip into the dealership....Walked in and test drove the vehicle I wanted and said yes, then the games began.....Came back to me with a payment that was $111 more then I could afford..I told them the conversation I had with my salesperson (Robert) before coming in and now it was just a waste of time..Went to leave and then they tell me they can do the payment I want , then they come back with a payment that is $35 more then I wanted, BUT!!! only if they get my trade and $1000 out of pocket..I wanted this for my Wife so..I go for the deal...Next thing I know my trade on the paperwork is $500, I said I thought that my trade was $4500, they tell me well it works out that way....To make a long story short, they submit my credit and my Wife’s to like ten different financial institutions (then the refusal letters start flowing into my mailbox) and start dropping our credit ratings, due to too many inquiries....Then when we go back (because we didn't sign the right paperwork) find out now I'm looking at lease papers?????? They say : ohhhh we couldn't make the deal that we originally thought we could and then proceed to sell us the lease, I had been driving this thing for two weeks now.....Then they call again and tell me that the papers have to be signed again (because they were wrong??? But they will come to my house to do it, they do not show (kid got stuck in traffic in NY).....Next time the kid was in an accident or went home sick was told both excuses after waiting yet again, Which one is it??????? Then the finance manager Anthony finally shows up with the paperwork and my tags...This is a month later..And the deal sheet changes yet again, he doesn’t know why, just sign here!...I have still not seen a payment book or anything, I'm now driving this car a month and a half???? I asked for my trade back 2 weeks into the deal, they said we don't have it anymore. I really wanted out of this deal and would have gladly taken back my old car!...Worst outfit I have ever dealt with! NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY SEE MY MONEY!!!!! And everyone I run into will know not to buy there…. Plus I have to refinance my vehicle in 39 months if I want to keep it????? More
