It all started innocently enough - I scheduled a service appointment with Freedom Chevrolet in San Antonio on their website for Wednesday June 11 because I had a cross country road trip coming up and had be appointment with Freedom Chevrolet in San Antonio on their website for Wednesday June 11 because I had a cross country road trip coming up and had been having battery drain issues with my Suburban. When checking in, the service advisor (Adriana) said I should hear back "Friday, if not tomorrow". Well, I did not hear back Thursday... or Friday... or Saturday. So I called. The individual I spoke with reassured me that my "vehicle is with a technician right now", and I should be hearing back "soon". I waited the rest of Saturday... and Sunday. I called the Freedom Chevrolet Service number again on Monday. No-one answered the call. I called again and this time, waited to see how long it would ring before someone answered. After 11 minutes of ringing, I called from a work landline (not from my cell). They picked up right away. I explained the situation, and asked for an update. The gentleman I spoke to tried to locate Adriana, but could not. I inquired whether there were any notes on the system. He said he did not see any. I expressed that I was frustrated that I had heard nothing from Freedom - no calls, no texts, no emails since I had dropped off my vehicle. He said he understood and because of the delay, and lack of responsiveness, he was going to escalate the issue and I should "hear from a manager shortly". You can guess what happened - Freedom continued to ghost me. So finally today (Wednesday), I went in person. Adriana was still unavailable, but Linda tried to assist. She said there was nothing in the system, but that she was opening a group chat with the technicians to determine the status of the vehicle service. Long story short, no one at Freedom had touched the vehicle in the week that it had been there - in their parlance "none of the service technicians had assigned it to themselves". I asked for my keys back, and will now have to see if there is a better Chevrolet dealership in the area. I had been taking my Chevy to Freedom for years, but no longer. Beyond disappointed and sad to be treated this way. This experience has not only caused loss of trust in Freedom, but in Chevrolet. Why are there no controls in place to prevent similar failures? If I hadn't called, my truck would've sat there another day without any updates or progress. When I finally got an update, the message said "Transmission Control Replacement * PARTS ETA 4+ DAYS *" with no further explanation. When I arrived to discuss, I was told the issue was simply a worn-out shifter needing replacement - no additional details provided. To make matters worse, the oil change hadn't been done during the 48-hour period my truck was there. The lack of communication, incomplete work, and $196 charge was frustrating. Improvement is needed in their customer service and efficiency. More

Need better communication don’t let you know what’s going won’t return calls . But did get it going again was there 9 weeks they put a lot of parts in it will say they need to check there work the new engine won’t return calls . It took awhile to get it back and getting a loaner car but they did get it done now let’s just see how long this one last. More
