I was walking around while in Service and the Manager Dave Hetzel was very kind and professional. He talked to me for a little about a new F150 and I will be honest it piqued my interest. They even appraised my car while it was in service, and gave me numbers that made sense enough to bring my wife back and see if she was good with it. All in all not what I was expecting from just a service appointment but I am very happy with the team at Fred Beans! More
I went to go look at a truck similar to mine with different accessories, worked with a salesmen named Ed, very nice guy and no pressure, easy drive and great conversation. No pressure when talking over a deal even though we didn't come to an agreement due to sales manager he still took the effort to meet me on my way out and say thank you. 10/10 service. More
Very disappointed with Fred Beans Boyertown. Bought a used F-150 from them 13 months ago (November 2021) along with 2 years of Triton Mechanical Breakdown Protection, you know, the one that stat Bought a used F-150 from them 13 months ago (November 2021) along with 2 years of Triton Mechanical Breakdown Protection, you know, the one that states "Shield yourself from life's surprises. Protect against the cost of unexpected vehicle repairs with Triton Protect vehicle service contracts." The salespeople convinced me to buy this coverage saying it covers over 36,000 parts on the vehicle. Well, twice now life surprised me with needed repairs. The first breakdown was exactly 12 days after I bought the vehicle to the tune of ~$390. They did eventually cover this repair expense after complaining to them I only had the vehicle less than 2 weeks. Now, just days after Christmas, I am facing a 2nd repair expense to the tune of ~$1,800 which, of course, the warranty that covers over 36,000 parts on the vehicle does not apparently cover. Never again will I buy a car from Fred Beans dealerships. My kids (twins) just turned 16 and I am in the market for vehicles for them. Guess who just lost my business for a couple of vehicles, yup, you guessed it - Fred Beans! I know this is a long review, but please don't waste your time with this car dealership! If you do, don't let them talk you into that useless extended warranty that supposedly covers over 36,000 parts. Beware of this place, went in for a oil change. Ended up spending 3300 on things that should have been done when I bought the truck. F350 spent 45,000 on it. Will never be back to this place. Had a free first oil change w FredBeans AutoRewards, they did not replace the oil cap upon completion! Luckily it was down in the tubing and I was able to reach it and screw it back on. Made sure it wasn't loose, drove around the block a few times, everything appears to be ok. Levels look good, oil did not spray all over. Terrified to take it back for them to look at. This free oil change could have & possibly still could end up costing me. Will be checking through out the weekend for leakage and any other issues. I pray that was all they screwed up on. I've heard shady things about them, now I've learned first hand. Free isn't always good. A dealership though?! Bad bad bad More
We were very interested in buying a used car from them and was told the car was being checked in and being serviced and detailed since the car was just brought in to them.. We were told we would be called when the car was ready so we can go look at it. Then, we got an email from the sales guy who was helping us that the car was sold out from under us. We were very disappointed and called the sales guy. He basically told us that there was nothing he could do for us. Let me point out that, we were the first people to inquire about the car. If we would have know that we could go look at the car the same day it was brought in, we would have taken the trip to the dealership. Instead, we were told we had to wait til the care was ready. We will not deal with this dealership. Very poor client handling. In reading other reviews, at least we know we are not the only customers that feel the same way. More
Easy buying process We found a used vehicle on the website that we were interested in and called for an appointment. I spoke to Alex and he was very easy going. We set up an appointment for 9AM the next day (Saturday). Alex was very laid back and did not pressure us. We were able to test drive the car and decided that day to purchase. Alex and the finance team were great to work with. We got everything together on our end and picked up the car the following Friday. We were way early for our 3PM appointment, but Alex was able to get to us right away. We had everything signed and we were out the door by 3:15! We can't recommend this dealership enough! More
Completely messed up dealer This is the most screwed up sales department I have seen in my life. I scheduled a test drive on a truck, showed up and nobody seem to care. It was on a Saturday and several sales people were just standing around talking to each other. I walked around the trucks, and eventually left. I tried again the next week after getting a text from supposedly a sales manager. I texted him back that I was coming in in 30 minutes to test drive a truck. Never heard back from them, got their and same things, salesman standing around, no care in the world. I sent numerous requests for a price to order a new truck and gave full specifics on what i wanted. To this day, no answer. I bought a truck from another dealer and by the way, it is a Ram. These guys are horrible. More
