In February of 2011, I bought a 2011 Kia Soul (great car). When I went to the dealer to look at the vehicle I was met by Steve Alten (not sure of the spelling, he said that he was new and didn't yet hav car). They didn't have exactly what I was looking for, however, Steve and I found an acceptable model and he suggested that we take it for a test drive. On the test drive, and without prompting from me, Steve told me that he had been in car sales for years but that he had just started at Ft. Wayne KIA. Steve told me that he was reluctent to take the job with KIA as the Bob Rohrman chain of dealerships have such a poor customer service reputation. I found this conversation kind of odd, however, we worked out what a felt was an acceptable deal and I bought the car. Steve showed me very few of the features and suggested that I take the car home and he would call me in a couple of weeks to make sure that he answered any questions that I might have. I haven't heard from him to this day. I had to visit the dealership twice before they finally paid off the vehicle that I traded in; as when I called to check on it. Dave in finance would never pick up the phone. I never received any communication from this dealer until mid October when the KIA corporation sent me a letter welcoming me to the KIA family. This past week I had a need to take the vehicle in for service; the horn only works part time. After waiting an hour and a half, I was told that the car needs a new horn and that one had been ordered. I was told that I would be called as soon as it arrived so that I could schedule an appointment to have it installed. I just called the dealership to check on the part since I didn't hear anything from them; I was told that indeed the part was there (I guess they just didn't have time to call and tell me). I know other people in my office who have had similar problems with this dealership and the one thing that we all seem to agree on is that none of us will buy our next vehicle from any of the Bob Rohrman family of dealerships. Oil change and tire rotation. Performed on a most timely basis and was greeted by my first name by service personnel even though it had been several months since my last visit! While waiting for the oil change............... I noticed a sign stating that used cars are at their highest value in recent years. Yes you guessed it.......I did in fact trade cars once again. ( Our 12 th new Toyota Camry in the last 11 years). Keep you car in showroom condition and Ft Wayne Toyota will always give you top dollar when trading cars. Sincerely Carl Demidovich More
My wife was in the market for a minivan.. after going to other dealerships and basically only being shown used ones that we didn't really like we thought lets "go look" at new vans. We decided to go to Fort Wayne Kia because of the warrenties that are offered on there vans and overall safty ratings, but what we never expected was to be driving home in a BRAND NEW minivan. Jay made our shopping for a van actually enjoyable. We never once felt pressured into having to purchase a vehicle from FW KIA. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a New/Used vehicle to visit Fort Wayne KIA you will not be disappointed. And if you get the opportunity ask for Jay Bachman he is AWESOME!!!! I would recommend to anyone looking to get a new car to go to Fort Wayne Kia and speak with Kyle. Over the past months I had met a number of car sales men and he by far was the best of any of them. Fantastic experience from start to finish! Every person with whom we interacted was genuine, helpful, and reasonable. Nowhere could we find a better vehicle for the price; and they worked with us to make s with whom we interacted was genuine, helpful, and reasonable. The dealership was packed that day yet no one rushed us through the process, and we still made it out with our new lease in a very timely fashion. Purchased our vehicle new from this dealer(top of the Line Borrego Limited), pretty good experience, except it wasn't ready when promised, paint was scratched and had to be fixed, ect. Kia warranty is a joke, they cover a lot of things for a long time, however then do not want to fix anything and have 3 answers for everything: working as designed, functioning within parameters, or they are all that way. Wow that is something to be proud of "they are all that way" so by their own admission all Kia's are defective, designed poorly and are expected to function that way. NEVER buy anything from this dealer or Kia/Hyundai. More
