service help on a Saturday adternoon My brand new explorer would not start on the fifth morning I had it. I really need the car to drive out of town on Sunday So after ford roadside assist came and jump started it a Saturday afternoon , I got to FOLSOM FORD and they were able to do a diaggnositic and reassure me all was okay! Don't waste your time Called Friday October 6th to see if they still had a vehicle for sale and the Manger said" Yes come on down." So I Left work early(1pm) to test drive Called Friday October 6th to see if they still had a vehicle for sale and the Manger said" Yes come on down." So I Left work early(1pm) to test drive just to be told that the vehicle was on hold for someone since last night and pending Co-signers signature. Asked to talked to General Manager and told him i would pay the asking price and was still told no on the vehicle. The very next night October 7th the salesman called me and said "The person backed out on the vehicle and if i was still interested.' I told the salesman "Yes ill be there in the morning and to hold the vehicle for me.'' So on October 8th in the morning i called again just to confirm the vehicle was still for sale. I took my family on over an hour drive to go purchase the vehicle and even test drove one last time just to come back inside to close the deal for them to tell me that someone was currently purchasing the vehicle. Talked to the Manager Paul again to have him tell me "Sorry guess it's just bad Luck, we don't hold vehicles.'' So as you can see Folsom lake Ford not only wasted my time once but twice and were very RUDE. Save yourself the time and purchase somewhere else. More

F150 Purchase Great staff, buying process was easy. Their inventory/PDI person deserves some recognition because the truck I chose wasn't ready for the lot but he Great staff, buying process was easy. Chipped my car I have taken my car in for regular maintenance at Folsom Lake Ford for a few years and have never had any complaints, and in fact I've always been ver I have taken my car in for regular maintenance at Folsom Lake Ford for a few years and have never had any complaints, and in fact I've always been very happy with their service - until now. As a prelude to what I am about to write, I take great care of my car, know my car inside and out, and when possible park it in the far end of the parking lot to avoid door dings. My gripe this time around isn't with the service provided (although after changing the oil they didn't even reset the oil life indicator), it's the fact that my car was chipped in 5-6 different places when it was returned to me after the service was completed (I only pointed out three of them while there, as those chips were more obvious, and I noticed the other chips when I got home). When I brought the chips to their attention, they initially claimed they were there when I brought my car in, which they weren't, as I did the walk around with the service technician, and know for a fact they weren't there. Additionally, in the paperwork they gave me, on the top right corner of page four, where it shows the diagram of the exterior body, and then states "Note any existing exterior body damage or defects on diagram" there was nothing marked at all. Yet after I complained about the chips, the technician went back into the service department and returned with a different paper showing a exterior body diagram, and now the place on the side of the car where the paint was chipped (by Ford) was suddenly marked on the diagram (why was this different from my copy?). I again affirmed the chips were not there when I brought the car in, and said I wanted to speak with the manager. The manager came out and to his credit said they would repaint the affected area and was very accommodating, even offering to provide a rental car. I initially agreed to this fix, and I do appreciate their offer to make it better, but after further thought I've decided I'm not bringing it back to this dealership, as I don't believe I can now trust them to do it right, knowing how difficult paint matching is to do. I would rather have an independent detailer fix the chips, but I can't afford that and suspect that Folsom Lake Ford would not reimburse me for it. For someone who takes pride in their car's appearance, it's extremely frustrating that this even happened in the first place - and that's my whole point. When I bring my other car in for service at the Honda dealership service department down the street, it's a much less stressful experience, and comes back washed and looking better than when I brought it in, without any new blemishes. It's too bad that wasn't the case with Folsom Lake Ford. More
