The service department totally misdiagnosed an HEV, actuator and transmission issue estimating the repairs to be up to $5800, with a suggestion to replace the transmission. Turns out their diagnosis actuator and transmission issue estimating the repairs to be up to $5800, with a suggestion to replace the transmission. Turns out their diagnosis seemingly did not include checking the hydraulic fluid reservoir, which was empty. Very basic, first thing any real mechanic would check. Filled at home, and the car now runs perfectly. Now to find out why the reservoir was empty … it is either a leak, or it was evacuated and not refilled. It has not shown any leakage since I refilled it, and it is still full, so, I am putting this on the dealership. Marius, the GM and owner, the service director and “Spike” a service desk guy, are sorely lacking in the communications dept, having not returned calls or answered emails … ever after numerous attempts.
