Recall on My 2008 Edge My 2008 Ford Edge was recalled for an inflator issue on the passenger side air bag. I made the appointment and was told the part would have to be ord My 2008 Ford Edge was recalled for an inflator issue on the passenger side air bag. I made the appointment and was told the part would have to be ordered and when it arrived the appointment would be made. Within a few days they called and said the part was available and made the appointment. The Edge was taken in and I was told withing 5 hrs that it was done and ready to be picked up. Very fast service and the Edge was checked to make sure the interior and engine compartment, where the repair was made was in okay shape. All areas were fine and you could not tell any repairs were made. More
They went above and beyond in customer service. Being from out of town and it's the Saturday before Christmas, my car was towed in after the shop closed. Went in Monday morning, met with Pete and told they couldn't look at my vehicle until Thursday!! Explained I had to leave to go home by then or rent a car to do so. Two hours later I will called, they looked at my car and knew what the problem was. Part was ordered, and by Friday my car was repaired!! They not only diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, repaired it, PLUS completed a recall that was necessary AND determined it was under warranty!! Soooo car repaired timely and at no cost!! They were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, accommodating And all at the busiest time of the year! They put the CUSTOMER first in their policy of providing Good customer service! Kudos to the entire service department!!! More

Walked in the door and was ignored This was the first visit to Family Ford and I left not feeling like family. I placed a work request appointment to have "The Works Package" and have This was the first visit to Family Ford and I left not feeling like family. I placed a work request appointment to have "The Works Package" and have four new tires installed that I provided. My time was for 10am. I walked in the door and made eye contact with the two workers at the service desk and was ignored. I stood in the doorway for a minute and then went to the window where I assume the billing woman sits. I told her I was here to have my car worked on. She told me to talk to the guys at the window. I walked up to the service desk and again made eye contact with the guy standing there. He picked up some papers and walked away. After about another 5 mins of waiting at the desk I asked if someone was there that could help me. Someone finally says can "I help you" with attitude. I have been in the service area at least 8 mins by now. I said, I am here to have my car serviced. I gave him the keys and he said he would call when it is done. I informed him that I would like to wait and he told me that he wasnt sure when they would get to it that day. I normally go to Keystone Ford in Chambersburg and when I have a time set, that is when my car is worked on. I only tried Family Ford since we have moved closer to Carlisle. The person at the counter said they have no idea when it will be done. I had to get back to work so I say ok, let me see if I can get a ride. So after about 10 mins of me trying to find a ride so I can get back to work he then tells me they have a shuttle service. Why wouldn't you tell me this BEFORE I tried to scrabble and get a ride? The young man that drove me to my destination was a good kid and had a nice chat with him. Out of the whole experience he was the best part of Family Ford. The service department called around 3pm and said the car was ready, since it was snowing I asked if we could get the car the next day and he said yes. I asked the person I talked to if the shuttle could pick my wife up at her work at 11am so she could get her car. He said that wouldnt be a problem. The next day my wife is standing outside at 11:15 still waiting on the shuttle and she gets a call asking if she still needed a ride. The shuttle showed up at 11:40. Again the young man was professional and very nice. My wife told me that the check out process was very confusing and again was ignored when she walked into the service department. No one explained the report provided to us like Keystone Ford does. The work was done as requested but we will not be back to Family Ford. Please take a look at how Keystone Ford does business and rework your customer service guidelines. More

Travelled 316+ miles to buy from Family Ford I've seen the advertisement for the EcoSport and went online to get more details on it. I live in SW Virginia and because I've been doing business wit I've seen the advertisement for the EcoSport and went online to get more details on it. I live in SW Virginia and because I've been doing business with Family Ford for about 7 years, While visiting my family in Carlisle I called to see if Family Ford had one on their property. At that time they did not but were anticipating getting one in and would call me when it arrived. Terry, who has been my salesman each time I wanted to get another car, called me when it came in and because I was still in PA, I went to test drive it and get some questions answered. I wanted to see if they could help get another car while living in VA. and Terry was able to get the job done as far as getting VA tags and all the paperwork for VA, which required extra work on his part. Way to go Terry! I also want to say the Service Department has been outstanding throughout the years on anything my cars have ever needed and answered all questions or concerns I've ever had. Everyone at Family Ford has been helpful, friendly and go the extra mile. They make you feel like family! Keep up the great work Family Ford! More
