It's been 1. 5 months of waiting to get our family (of 7) vehicle back. My expedition experienced a turbo failure while I was in the area for work. Originally, it was towed to Clarks Car Care but when they diagnosed it would need a new engine, I decided to have it towed to a Ford service shop thinking that would be better for such a big repair. Not so sure about that anymore. I had to explain the situation and give all my info to 4 different people over the first week each time I called. Does no one write down a note there? One person told me they didn't have it and that I should call the towing company to make sure they brought it there! It took Ford service a week to come up with the same diagnosis Clark's Car Care had in a day. After that week, I was told they'd have to give it to the engine specialist because it was a bigger issue. Umm, yeah... that's what I told you was wrong a week ago. Once I finally had the quote, I gave the go ahead and was told it might take about another week. Every step of the way, I've had to call and check in to keep things moving. To make matters worse, Ford ended up sending a bad engine for the first repair which turned into more delays. I understand this isn't Fair Oaks fault but why was I not getting an update call every day or two so I could understand how to plan for our family? We ended up driving the 5 hour round-trip to pick up a loaner from them since this was going to take even longer. Every time I called for an update, I was told I would get a call back by the end of that day. 2 days would pass and I would have to call again myself. We ended up cancelling one vacation and had to leave our camper home for another we had planned. (The loaner was too small to fit our whole family and couldn't tow the camper) When I finally arrived to pick up the vehicle, the parts charge was higher than discussed so I had to argue that back down. The cashier had no record of my down payment so I had to show my credit card statement to show I had paid more than the service rep said. Then the key programming I asked for wasn't done. Had to get another tech involved who got all huffy about it. Now I'm sitting waiting for this key programming. I guess they couldn't get that done in the 1.5 months they had it? I can't wait to leave here and never come back. I suggest you choose another service place. More

The sales team have always been nice to me, as have all the staff, however we all make bad hires sometimes and as employers we should have the honor to make things right with those wronged. They do not. Long story short is that their service rep thought that it would be acceptable to use my car as his own as I left it with the dealer while I was traveling. He drove it to and from Berwyn every day for the first week I was travelling for work. Cheeky bugger also used the expressway 4 times and my iPass account makes they clear. Also makes it clear that he ran errands in my car not just commuted. In reality I came to know that this rep had been arrested for car theft only a month before. He is on the Chicago PD website. Although not convicted of a crime at the point of writing this, it is certainly not confidence inspiring knowledge. Said employee racked up several hundred miles on my car, used the tollways, that I had to pay for. I have no idea exactly what he could have used my car for. Left some permanent marks on my interior too. I can’t understand how stupid he can be. He works there. Cars have GPS and you can see where they are in the app all the time. And I have iPass. It’s all kind of obvious. I told the dealership that I wanted them to take back the car. I was and still am just so angry and betrayed. The dealership after having their attorney talk with mine, agreed to give me package of oil changes and tire rotations for the duration of the lease. Not want I wanted. I would have to sue them to get anything. Somewhere they have calculated that for every me who walks out the door, there are three of you who walk in. Don’t kid yourself when you walk in, you are not important. In the end I simply decided that it is not worth my time or money to pursue. They know this, and that is what they were making their bank shot hoping for. Again they are professionals at getting their way. I will not go back to this dealership so long as this rep is there. I may never go back. I have lost all trust. Anytime you go to any dealership pay attention. Never drop off without photographing the odometer, and give clear instructions as to what they can and cannot do with your car. I have learned my lessons. Just because guys work there doesn’t mean you can necessarily trust them. More

Service is great and no need to return,, it is repaired right the first time, the service personnel always make sure you know what is needed and keep you updated.
