**SCAM ALERT** Me & my wife purchased a Volvo CPO vehicle (2019 XC60 T5 Inscription) from your dealerships in Smithtown, NY this Sunday, February 27th. As soon as leaving the Volvo Smithtown on the s vehicle (2019 XC60 T5 Inscription) from your dealerships in Smithtown, NY this Sunday, February 27th. As soon as leaving the Volvo Smithtown on the same day, we noticed that the car vibrated too hard after speeding over 50 miles per hour. It was not just a small vibration, but I could feel my whole body trembling like riding a roller coaster that I was not able to talk to my wife in a passenger seat. Unfortunately we couldn't fix the problem right away as we were the last customers of the day and the dealership was already closed. Even though we felt completely unsafe, we had no choice but to drive back home. As soon as I got home, I made an appointment immediately to have my car checked at my local Volvo Service Center (Volvo Westport, CT). They checked my car and found some problems with my car with repair invoice over $3000 repair. They said if it was a CPO I shouldn't have had these problems. How could my car have this problem on the same day I picked it up and all that above were clearly marked as "OK" on my vehicle's CPO checklist? After this disaster, I contacted your dealership to resolve this issue and nothing was helpful. I asked for pick up and loaner car services to have them fix my car. Because I live 2 hours away from the dealership and didn't feel safe driving my car all the way there. Also my car had a problem right after they checked, so I felt they should be responsible for all their mistakes made while checking my car. However they did not want to provide any of the services that I requested. Even when I mentioned my safety concern for driving my car all the way down there, one of their salesperson Keith Hogan, he literally said "It's your choice." I recorded all our conversations. He put me in a situation where I had to choose either taking a safety risk for 2 hours of driving to their location or not to get my car fixed. Unbelievable... Horrible customer service and zero responsibility. Fortunately, the Volvo Customer Service Center provided me with a towing service and today they towed my car to a dealership in Smithtown. But I can't trust dealerships in Smithtown. Because in addition to the problems we noticed initially, I also found that there was a lot of fake information which was marked "OK" in CPO checklist. * Tire tread depth is 6/32" all front and 8/32" all rear (Absolutely not the correct information. They are all about 4/32" which can't pass the volvo CPO standard). * The rear bumper is slightly dented and protruding * Engine filter is very dirty and not cleaned. * Chrome has never been cleaned * And they even falsified the certification date. * Cigarette lighter not working * Steering wheel makes weird noise In the document, the car was certified on February 20th. We were there all day (from morning till they close) on February 20th and no one checked my car. We saw the car was at the service center, but the service center was closed and no one was there. Salesman Keith clearly said the car wasn't certified and wasn't ready for a test drive yet. So, how did the car get a certificate that day in the CPO document? Volvo Smithtown also charged $812.50 for DMV & registration fee and I have not received my plates and registration yet. I asked them if it is possible for me to do it myself in my neighborhood DMV but they said it is not possible. What is more frustrating is they emailed me after two weeks of purchasing a car that they need VIN verification from me. Why would they charge me if I have to do this work myself? They did not even allow me to take my car without getting paid for DMV fee & Registration. When it comes to financing, they initially offered financing of APR of 5.64%. When I tried to buy it all in cash to avoid high APR, they all of sudden offered 0.99% Volvo “Special Program” financing. Why would they not have given me that information in the first place if that is “Volvo special program”? I truly hope you avoid all this crap if you can. More
I recently leased my third volvo from now Empire Smithtown Volvo, two weeks later I received a bill for over $600. I first contacted my salesman Frank Milleti who passed me onto the manager Frank F Smithtown Volvo, two weeks later I received a bill for over $600. I first contacted my salesman Frank Milleti who passed me onto the manager Frank Fordette they both gave me a song and dance. They would not refund me and basically offered me an oil change. I would no longer recommend this Volvo dealer if you do use them get everything in writing and take nothing for granted. They are your typical car dealer be careful!! More
