I have had my 2021 Subaru Outback for a year now and absolutely love the car. Our sales experience with Larry was a pleasure - no high pressure tactics nor trying to sell me more car than I wanted. I have been using Metric Subaru which is now Empire of Huntington for at least 14 years, leasing and buying multiple Forresters. This mornings experience was upsetting. I called for oil change and got th Huntington for at least 14 years, leasing and buying multiple Forresters. This mornings experience was upsetting. I called for oil change and got the virtual assistant which worked out well. Then I called Empire to see if they had a loaner and a schedule for 30,000 this week. I was informed of no more loaners for scheduled maintenance and told I didn’t have an appointment for the oil change. Found out they had 2 accounts for me and virtual assistant put appointment on other account which had an old email.. old phone numbers and wrong car info. Took care of that only to tell me they moved temporarily I looked at email which was just sent to me yesterday afternoon. All of this gave me a feeling I was talking to a different dealership and really should not of happened!!! Disappointed. They need to correct this. Let’s hope when I get there tomorrow it will be a different expierence . More
Great service and people. Everyone was patient and took their time to explain me everything and show me around. If it wasn’t for Chris DePetre, I wouldn’t have bought a car. He made the entire experience e their time to explain me everything and show me around. If it wasn’t for Chris DePetre, I wouldn’t have bought a car. He made the entire experience enjoyable and understood me and listened to all my concerns. From something that was not available, he made it available. Today it’s hard to find what you want in a car due the pandemic. Him and Subaru made it possible for me to get exactly what I wanted. I will continue to use them as my dealer and car maintenance. After buying my new car I was expecting the dealer to provide the brackets for the front license plate. Not even they didn’t have them but also they asked me to pay for them ($50). Nobody called me back provide the brackets for the front license plate. Not even they didn’t have them but also they asked me to pay for them ($50). Nobody called me back to provide the brackets and I had to buy them in another dealer 2 days later. In NY you can get a ticket if you drive without the front plate. More
I have recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and had the worst possible experience with them. Below are the detailed incidents: Firstly, We took a test drive of the vehicle in the dealership and had the worst possible experience with them. Below are the detailed incidents: Firstly, We took a test drive of the vehicle in the afternoon and reported that the brakes had some issue and that they need to be checked, however the salesperson said the vehicle is fully inspected and there were no problems found with the brakes. After taking the car home, I got it inspected by the BMW authorized Paul Miller service center. They clearly stated that the front brakes need a replacement. A second lie: The salesperson said you will get the vehicle filled with full gas and cleaned in and out. However at the time of delivery, we were given just a half-filled tank . Later when I asked about it, the salesperson said we don't give a used vehicle with full gas. ( So he was thinking all the time that we are buying a brand new BMW from Subaru dealership .. wowww ) There was a point where after negotiating and waiting for 4 hours , during the final paperwork the lady manager said the negotiated price will not work unless I buy an extended warranty from them, which would have cost me more than 2000 bucks! I was totally frustrated at this point. I never wanted to go back empty-handed , finally with the help of Dillon they landed at the negotiated price. Next, I had a preapproved loan with Bank Of America with 3.64% APR and I made it very clear to the manager that I want to finance with that, even before saying yes to buying the vehicle. She agreed to use the same, however at the time of paperwork, she coldly denied saying I am not getting the same APR with your application, so I can't give you this car at your rate. We waited there for 6hrs to hear that you can't buy this car with your rate rather I have to use the rates they give which is 4.99%. And after some heated discussion, she agreed to get the rate of 3.99% with the Bank of America application number I provided. When I received the Bank Of America Auto Loan welcome package after few days, it says that the application number is different than what I provided at the time of buying. A complete case of fraud this is. To add to that this lady manager was rude upfront, totally unprofessional and I had to even tell her to lower her voice at one point! I never expected this kind of treatment from a Subaru dealership. Totally do not recommend this place to anyone. More
