Before I post my review, I want to say this solely reflects my one-time experience at the dealership on my first visit. Afterwards, the financial manager as well as general manager were both very pro reflects my one-time experience at the dealership on my first visit. Afterwards, the financial manager as well as general manager were both very professional, nice, and completely up-front in trying to help me come to a resolution. At Huntington Subaru, I had a very traumatic experience and was pushed into a lease, while I continually insisted "I do NOT want to lease," was told to think of it as "leasing with intention to buy." The salesman refused to take the leasing offer off the table and only reluctantly gave me a purchase price (significantly higher than the leasing offer) after frequent persistent requests. I came in with a 17 year old car, I am NOT a leaser, I insisted. They also RUSHED me through entire purchase ("sign, sign, sign"), not explaining any of the contract and spending less than 5 minutes with me in the new car hooking up my phone and not reviewing any other features. I had never leased and no knowledge of leasing fees. I attempted to walk out 3 times, and was told with limited inventory it was extremely unlikely car would still be there if I did not complete this deal. Other psychological tactics used by dishonest salesman included: When asked purchase price reply was told it was "a couple thousand above sticker price." Was told "I can tell you're serious about buying and not here to waste time." When he saw how anxious and stressed I was, said "you will feel so much better when this is all over." The finance manager did agree to rollover my lease into a purchase. However, the offer included me saying goodbye to nearly $10,000 (made by personal check to dealer) that was paid upfront. Minimal discount offered to me was only with purchase of an upgraded car and financially made no sense. But again, after my initial bad experience, both managers contacted me with much consideration. However, prior to the interaction with management, just for pure objectivity regarding Huntington Subaru's unprofessionalism, I will simply refer to my insurance agent's dealing with them. I am taking quotes from a much longer email in reference to obtaining a simple email from them. Good morning Robyn! This is the agent you chatted with yesterday. I just called the dealership and spoke with someone, and they treated me with their usual disdain. In addition to letting you know I'm still working on this, I wanted to compose this email to have a record of our interactions with them while it's still fresh in my mind. I was tranferred to Vanessa, to whom I explained what I needed, and she transferred me to someone who she believed could help, which turned out to be the service department and I got the voicemail again. I called back and selected the sales department again, thinking to ask for someone else; the line picked up for about half a second before I heard a click and some more ringing, then the same voicemail message (I'm assuming Vanessa recognized the number and simply picked up the line briefly without speaking to transfer me). I tried one more time and the line was picked up by an emotionless voice that simply greeted me with "Yeah?" Taken aback, I asked if I had called the Subaru dealership, which got another "yeah." I identified myself and began to let him know what I was asking for, and he simply hung up on me in the middle of my sentence. By this time, it was almost 7PM ET. 2 more calls were not answered at all, and we ended our chat soon after. The next morning I called and reached Maria. She brusquely said that she could possibly find a copy of the lease agreement but told me that you were now in possession of the only copy of the window sticker, then asserted again that they had already sent the paperwork multiple times and said she was getting extremely frustrated with this issue. When I asked what email they were sent from, she said she didn't know because they came from Christopher and she didn't know how to spell his last name. When I asked if they could have come from the dealership email, I believe she said she didn't know it either (it was hard to follow, because at this point she was speaking over me when I tried to talk). I believe she said she couldn't help me any more and I would have to call back and speak to Christopher. The conversation ended like this: "And I'm sorry, your name one more time please?" "[Agent says his name]." *click* More
