I did not have an appointment but I was still taken care of quickly. The Parts & Labor were very reasonable too. Elk Grove Ford's Service Department is the best Ford service department that I've been to. I of quickly. The Parts & Labor were very reasonable too. Elk Grove Ford's Service Department is the best Ford service department that I've been to. I recommend them to service your Ford vehicle. More
On June 1st, 2024 I bought a new pickup truck from Elk Grove Ford. I traded in a leased Honda Civic that Elk Grove had agreed to purchase from me and use as a down payment, meaning that they would pay of Grove Ford. I traded in a leased Honda Civic that Elk Grove had agreed to purchase from me and use as a down payment, meaning that they would pay off the remainder of my lease. (This is a common practice and I have done it once in the past without issue.) On June 17th, I reached out to my Salesperson to check on the status of the lease-payoff as my payment was going to be due on the 20th of June. The salesperson informed me that the dealership was “working on the payment” but that I would be responsible for paying the leasing company. I expressed my frustration and explained that I would not be able to afford this happening again in July, but ultimately I made the payment to avoid late fees or credit score problems. Now fast-forward to July 1st, I have another payment due date approaching for my leasing company on top of the payment for the new vehicle I purchased. Every few days I have reached out to Elk Grove Ford for an update, and I keep getting the same answer: “I will check on it”, “We are working on it”, “It is the corporate office, not us”. As of today, July 8th, I have been told that Elk Grove will not have my lease paid off before July 20th which is when my next lease payment will be due. They informed me that it will be my responsibility to make the payment to the leasing company. (In addition to my new vehicle payment) California Vehicle Code Section 11709.4 (a)(1) states that a dealer is required to pay off a trade-in or an agreed upon amount within 21 days of the transaction. It has now been 37 days and counting… Elk Grove claims that I will end up being reimbursed for my additional payments when they send the payment to Honda. However, the ‘Lease Payoff Amount’ does not decrease by the same amount as the lease payment is each month. This means that if this payment does get processed, I will most likely only get about 70% of my 2 extra lease payments refunded to me. I do not recommend using Elk Grove Ford or any Lithia Dealerships for Used Car trade-in deals. More
They fixed all the items I came in for - oil change and a recall in a timely manner. But they did not know the cost differences for the different types of service when I called to schedule the appointment. T recall in a timely manner. But they did not know the cost differences for the different types of service when I called to schedule the appointment. They also did not give any type of overview when I picked up the car to let me know what was done and what things I may want to look at for future appointments. But I guess the service was done so it was pretty okay. More
