Problem: irregular knocking noise coming from the left rear of the car, especially noticeable at low speeds. Also do 20K mile routine service, which on this car is simple. I drove the technician around to point out the noise coming from the rear of the car. He then identified the cause, did a temporary fix, ordered replacement parts, and replaced the defective parts a week later. Problem solved. My only problem was with timeliness of the work. The service department needs a way to schedule and complete repair work more quickly for people who cannot get transportation to work or home. (If I lived nearby, these delays would not be a problem.) I brought my car in for an 8:30 a.m. appointment and told the service advisor that I would wait for it (I live 1.5 hours away in a rural area). The technician finally looked at the car for the problem around 4:15 p.m.! I returned on Friday of the following week to get the repair finished. The car was finally ready late Monday afternoon. More

Zero communication. Was told I’d be dropping off my truck for a diagnostic, I’d have it back by EOD. Never heard anything, so I called the following morning. I needed my vehicle that morning to drive to Oakland. I was told I could get a rental car, only when I arrived there was no reservation made on my behalf. After talking with the dealer I waited for them to put through a reservation, only to find out they only cover ford vehicles. There were no Ford full size truck or suvs. I then spent the next 2 hours in a panic driving around to rental places trying to find a replacement. The ford service center made it clear none of this was their problem. I never received any communication until the truck was ready to be picked up. All communication was started by me. More
