UNPROFESSIONAL. AVOID !I applied for credit on UNPROFESSIONAL. AVOID ! I applied for credit on 08/18/2021 for out of state and out of their inventory high risk Auto loan. Was initially told by Sc UNPROFESSIONAL. AVOID ! I applied for credit on 08/18/2021 for out of state and out of their inventory high risk Auto loan. Was initially told by Scott Reed that they could find me a no credit history loan. No fees, costs or anything else mentioned. 08/20/2021 no response via email or phone. 08/23/2021 Talk to Scott and he is working on my case. 08/24/2021 Talk to Coworker and nothing has been done ANT now they want to charge me $1500.00 for a loan. I as to speak to the owner and get a female manager. She does not attempt to correct the problem. I explain the need for FULL DISCLOSURE upfront and she makes excuses. Then she hung up on me. This company is a waste of your time and credit. Please shop elsewhere. I made the mistake of trusting then and now my credit went from fair to poor because of them. More
UPDATE: as of 8/25 I was able to get my contract annulled by contacting Dougs Mazda dealership manager, and making the owner aware of the issue. Come to find out, Doug's Credit Center-- in order to bleed me by contacting Dougs Mazda dealership manager, and making the owner aware of the issue. Come to find out, Doug's Credit Center-- in order to bleed me for every dime I had-- had told the lending institution that the base model truck who's most outstanding feature was that it came with an am/fm radio, had a whole bunch of extras that they itemized to mark up the price... Remote start, parking assist etc... The owner, after becoming aware that the credit center was trying to defraud their lenders, immediately rescindes the contract and took back the truck. My advice: Doug's, with the exception of the credit center (their used car lot), is honest. Seriously, don't work with this credit center. Also, to Mick or Nick, whatever your name is (manager at credit center who flipped out on me twice over the phone, threatening me)-- you told me to take my complaint to jack-in-the-box, that it would be just as useful. I chose, instead, to take the complaint to your boss. Hopefully, this whole experience has shed some light on your atrocious behavior. (Original review below) ORIGINAL: Not trust worthy. Sold me a basic ram 20k ram for 40k. Didn't tell me the price until I had the papers in front of me. Very pushy. Basically forced the truck down my throat. - I have am anxiety disorder that I am medicated for and they definitely took advantage of it. Not reputable. Save yourself the heartache and go anywhere else but here. More
Five stars for Phoenix being as helpful as he was initially but overall like three stars for the whole experience. I drove from Portland to be told that my trade is worth jack s**t and I need to come initially but overall like three stars for the whole experience. I drove from Portland to be told that my trade is worth jack s**t and I need to come up with thousands of dollars to even consider talking about what car I'll get into. They gave me a low acv vs fair kbb trade in because they won't make any money. Partially my fault for believing they could help and was literally told to "not worry about a down payment". I'm upset because we sat there for an hour and a half to be met with not being able to trade my car due to the higher quoted negative equity. If they would have told me within half an hour that they couldn't make it work I wouldn't have been as upset. Do I recommend coming back? No, unless you live close. Otherwise just stay local. More
We have known one of the car salesmen, Scott Reed, for years. He is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about fitting the right person to the right car. He takes pride in the service he provides for his years. He is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about fitting the right person to the right car. they lied to the lender about how long I had been at my job. They lied to me about my credit score about it being 540 on my credit score is actually a 630 they told the dealership that I was going to put d job. They lied to me about my credit score about it being 540 on my credit score is actually a 630 they told the dealership that I was going to put down $7000 when I had only put 6500 they claim that the bank was aware but they were not they told me that if I wanted to Be funded through them that they would have to write a new contract with the correct down payment. I also told him that I would make a new deal with the new car if they would let me sign a paperwork agreeing to kill the other car contract. The other contract was not valid due to the fact that they lied about the down payment I told them we can make a deal as long as we will void the contract they had me believing it was still valid even though it had been more then 4 days and I would like my refund so that we can continue on with new discussions about a new car and a new contract they declined the option to void the Audi contract and they told me that they were not going to do that which they legally have to The deal was never finalized. after more than four days I had found out that the deal was never funded I told him that I was not OK with what was going on and I would like to return the car that’s where the other talks about a new contract came in they never gave me the option to return the car after that had not been funded though I told him them after I had found out More
I bought a F150 truck from Dougs and in 1 day engine light came on. Then it wouldn't start. Doug's took it to their shop several times. Mechanic couldn't fix it, he was was extremely rude and insulting. light came on. Then it wouldn't start. Doug's took it to their shop several times. Mechanic couldn't fix it, he was was extremely rude and insulting.. said I wanted as perfect truck.. lol.. Chris (Doug's dealaer) became rude because of issues with truck and tired of dealing with it. Plus, wiring issues.. I only have 20,000 miles on it.. there was no noticeable rust on it when I bought it but now rust has eaten through bumper and the under carriage. It was hidden with undercoating.. I paid over 20,000.00, it should be concidered totalled.. I now owe 17,000.00.. I guess I will put a blue tarp in the back bed, fill with water and call it a spa.. save yourself the headache and financial money pit and go somewhere else. No xxxx! More
Doug’s Credit Center is the WORST!!! Avoid at all costs!!!! I came into their dealership in October, looking to trade in my car. I was originally working with Lilly and Mohammed who took my keys, and costs!!!! I came into their dealership in October, looking to trade in my car. I was originally working with Lilly and Mohammed who took my keys, and gave me a quote. I ended up needing a co-signer but they said my friend only needed to be on my loan for 3 months, then my name would automatically become the primary. The next day, my friend came in with me to sign papers with Melissa to get for the trade in. She confirmed the promises the day before would be honored. We left my car in the lot and took the new car home. The car was plated and registered and I made my first payment as scheduled. I then started to receive calls from my old loan company saying that I needed to make a payment. I proceeded to explain that I traded in my car at Doug’s Credit Center and that my loan with them was already taken care of, so they continued to call Doug’s to see what was going on because they never contacted them about the trade. They continued to call and then repo’d my old car. I called Doug’s to talk to someone about it and the person there said to not worry about it. He gave me a number to call and get set up with a credit repair company who would quickly take it completely off my credit. He said he did the same thing years ago and the credit place repaired his credit with no effort on his part. I was irritated that my old car was never traded in like it was supposed to and now had a repo/the $7,000+ owed from it on my credit. I now didn’t have a choice but to pay for a service to get that “quickly taken off my credit”. In mid December, I got a call from the new loan company saying that they found out I am the primary driver of the new vehicle, not my friend who signed with me. They told me that I was never put on the loan and they needed to try again to change it to her being the co-signer with me as the primary on a loan from them. A couple days later, I received a call from Melissa saying that the loan was canceled and that I needed to bring the car back. I came in that evening to talk to her and she said she’d look into other places that would give me another loan. She said she would let me know by Saturday if someone was willing to be my new lender and that if she can’t find one, my friend would need to come in to sign “buyback papers” and have the new car returned. During this time, Melissa denied everything I was promised. She said she had no idea what we were talking about and that I was never promised any of the above. I talked to a friend who works in the car industry to get some advice and learned that what the employees at Doug’s did was completely illegal (straw purchase) and what we were told about the “3 month automatic loan switch” does not exist even though Mohammed said they do it “all the time for customers like me who come in with bad credit and in need of a car loan.” Doug’s put me in a awful position. If I brought the new car back, Doug’s now wouldn’t have my old car to give back to me because they never processed the trade. I’d be left with no car, a repo/$7000+ on my credit, and would be out the money used for the car payment I made to that new loan company. My employer, friends, family and I received multiple nasty calls and threats. A tow truck showed up at my parents’ house attempting to find my new car there to take to to Doug’s. But they had zero right- the car was already plated and registered. They legally had no ties to the car- they didn’t own it anymore and to the state- we were the owners. My friend in the car business did a lot of work to contact managers/my past/new loan company/Doug’s, etc. I have calls and texts recorded of threats made. I have a recorded call of MELISSA calling my friend a slut, swearing at her, denying what they said, etc. All of the employees will LIE straight to your face. They only care about your money and will do literally ANYTHING to get you to sign that piece of paper. Even if that means trying to get away with illegal things. More
One star is too much. I explained from the beginning what my situation is and that i would have to take 4 busses to get there, so i really needed to drive back with a car (i needed a car to be able to work s my situation is and that i would have to take 4 busses to get there, so i really needed to drive back with a car (i needed a car to be able to work since i drive for Uber Eats). My husband wrecked my only car and now is dying and it was my only hope for any income to be able to drive. I explained everything from the beginning BEFORE i went there. Phoenix assured me that Doug's is different, they can help. Guess what? When i got there, Phoenix didnt even work that day!! The day HE made the appt. They took me to a guy named BJ. Well, after 2-1/2 hrs, i got to leave with nothing. He told me to call back when i got a co-signer. I told them from the beginning i had NO ONE to co-sign. But i tried anyway, with no luck. I made attempts to call and text BJ on the phone number HE gave me, and if he answered, he seemed like i was bothering him. If i texted, he never answered. An extremely disappointing experience with this place, and being in the customer service field for years, i am even more disappointed in them. More
Spoke with Edward on the phone. Went over my challenging credit history, the type of vehicle I was looking for, and payment I was ok with. Got a call back from Mike Hinton in financing, Mike told me he coul credit history, the type of vehicle I was looking for, and payment I was ok with. Got a call back from Mike Hinton in financing, Mike told me he could make it happen and to just come in. After telling him that childcare was costly and that I did not want to waste my time, he told me select a vehicle and he could tell me a payment. After selecting a vehicle Mike told me he could meet my payment price, how much to put down and come on in. I got to dealership and Mike immediately had me fill out paperwork while he left room to reach out to lenders. He sent someone else back in room to change the terms and raise the payment by almost 40%. I showed the other employee the text chain with mike, including the numbers he said he would do. The other employee basically told me that Mike had been lieing the whole time just to get me in. These guys are scammers. Avoid them!!! More
2018 impala This place is the best. I'm glad I made the trip from Oak Harbor to do business with these guys. I wasn't expecting to go home in a vehicle that day b This place is the best. I'm glad I made the trip from Oak Harbor to do business with these guys. I wasn't expecting to go home in a vehicle that day but I drove back home to Oak Harbor in a 2018 Chevy Impala. Clean with only 24,000 mileage. Guys are very professional, they listen to your situation and work with you instead. Been to some in Burlington a day before my trip to Doug's and I was either ignored or treated like my credit wasn't worth a crap for any of their stuff. Not with these guys, especially with the two salesmen that help me. Very understanding and they would find ways to meet your need. I would go back in the future and I'm recommending them every where I go. Great place, great cars, great guys! Thumbs up!! More
