Needed a newer car Came in and saw Rich, he helped me get into the right car for me. I am sort of a cheapskate and Rich helped me and explain every charge. ENDANGERED MY FAMILY I went February 22nd looking for an SUV with 3rd row seating. I told them I have three kids (I had my son with me who at the time wasn't even 4 weeks I went February 22nd looking for an SUV with 3rd row seating. I told them I have three kids (I had my son with me who at the time wasn't even 4 weeks old yet) and need something SAFE and RELIABLE. They continuously reassured me that the vehicle I was buying had passed safety inspections and that anything wrong with it had been fixed. You can imagine how surprised I was when I realized a few days after buying the car that it had NO oil in it, but still I thought it was just a fluke and paid for an oil change. It wasn't long before we realized weird little things the car a doing, a grinding sound from the front passenger side tire area, transmission slipping, revving super high during drive, there was even a weird clicking sound that was happening back by the tailgate. We took the car in to Doug's Cadillac in Shoreline on April 21. They looked at the car and found numerous things wrong with it but stated that the transmission was fine, it was just overflowed with tranny fluid. The list of things that were wrong with the car was pretty long so I won't list everything but included bad axles, corroded rotors, etc. When I found all this out I called Doug's Credit Center where I bought the car and spoke with Kevin. I told Kevin what was going on and he basically called me a LIAR, stating that there was NO WAY the vehicle was sold to me in that condition. He said they do a full inspection and repairs prior to sale of the vehicles. After being called a liar and told that i was wrong about my transmission being bad when i bought the car I submitted a Google review, which they later contacted my mom to ask me to take it down. They said they wanted to do whatever necessary to fix this. She forwarded the list if findings from when they did their initial inspection of the vehicle. The paperwork shows that the the front ball joints are bad (among MANY other things) and clearly states "sales department declined all repairs at this time". My warranty covered what needed to be done to the transmission. After warranty coverage there was about $370 in charges, which Doug's Credit Center covered for us. I got my car back on Saturday April 30. On Monday May 2 the transmission went out when I was backing out of a parking space. I left a voicemail at Doug's Credit Center and Kevin (who had previously called me a liar) called me the next morning again trying to tell me that the cars are thoroughly inspected and serviced. He told me to take the car back to Doug's Cadillac in Shoreline. Had it towed out there and to my surprise my transmission needs replaced. I don't feel that this was " made right" at all. I'm actually completely baffled that they put me into a car with bad axles, ball joints and rotors when I even went in there with a newborn, practically begging for a safe reliable vehicle for my family. And instead was sold a LEMON that I'm going to pay 11 grand for. If I could give them ZERO stars I would, but it won't let me. All in all I am completely disappointed and to be completely honest I am worried about ever putting my kids in this car again. What if something they didn't tell me about breaks and we crash and my kids die?? I've forwarded all the paperwork I have to Jesse and told him the story of what's going on, I'm really hoping to hear back soon. THANK YOU DOUG'S CREDIY CENTER FOR ENDANGERING MY FAMILY'S LIVES! More
