The service Rep Andrew was awesome, and the service itself was done in a timely manner. However, I do feeI like I had been way over charged. This is my second diesel so I know they are more expensive t itself was done in a timely manner. However, I do feeI like I had been way over charged. This is my second diesel so I know they are more expensive to service than gas, but $400 for and oil change and a tire rotation is on the high side for sure. Totally not Andrew's fault, but I will not be servicing my truck with them anymore. Call another local dealer. Was able to find a quote $160 less in 5 minutes. Shame on me for not checking first. Until recently, I would have given Denton Dodge 5 stars, but they created a situation for me, and I can't get them to fix the problem. I had great experience working with them in the process of purchasing v but they created a situation for me, and I can't get them to fix the problem. I had great experience working with them in the process of purchasing vehicles, but they made a mistake a couple of months ago with a license plate registered to me and it has had me in a difficult situation for 5 months now. I traded my Ram in for a used Ford (don't judge me) that I had intended to give my son, but the first weekend I had that truck on the road with a trailer (empty 95% of the time), the truck was throwing all sorts of signs it had a powertrain problem. After deliberating what to do and discussing it with the dealership, they took the truck back and I went back to a Ram. They made it easy and I would have happily recommended them to anyone and made them my dealer of choice for all future vehicle purchases. However, the plate situation with the Ford has resulted in me getting collection letters from the toll authority for tolls I did not incur, and I cannot seem to get a response to get the information I need to clear the matter and stop the collection letters. The story I got from Denton Dodge was that when they received my plates for the Ford, they also got several others in that were numerically very similar, but, by mistake, they issued my plates to the wrong customer. I had no idea the plates had been issued to anyone at all because when I returned the Ford, it still had paper plates on it, and I was not notified that any plates had come in for me. For a month, my plates were on the other vehicle, and that customer used lots of toll roads. I only found out about the plates when I started getting bills for their tolls. I have been back and forth with NTTA about the problem and they can clearly see in their cameras that the plates are on a small white car, not the big black truck that the plates were registered to. But, in order for them to remove the tolls from my account, they require a letter on letterhead from Denton Dodge explaining the situation and providing information about the other customer so they can charge the tolls to the right customer. By the time Denton Dodge was notified and got the other customer the correct plates, they had been running toll roads for almost 6 weeks and the toll charges were coming to me. I have had several email and phone conversations with my salesman, Myman Alchaar, the used car sales manager, Rob Hay, and two weeks ago, I started including the general manager for the dealership, Walter Adams, in the conversations. This whole matter started back in May 2023, and as of the first week of November, I am still trying to get resolution to the situation that they put me in. The problem is not happening to them, so they are not giving it much attention, and unfortunately, I cannot fix the problem on my own (I've tried) because NTTA requires explanation from the dealership to prove the plates were not stolen and I was not fraudulently using them. I will say that my sales experience with Myman was fantastic and he, along with several people in the sale process, made me feel like I was dealing with family. I could not have asked for better. Yet, while that speaks a lot to what a dealership should be, that's where the praise stops. You will be treated like family as long as they are getting your money, but if you need much else from them, you become an after thought, even when your problem is their fault. I won't get Into the details of an issue with the last truck I bought that they basically told me (paraphrasing) before I left that 'the problem was too much for them to deal with, so just file it with the warranty company after 30 days and you can get it fixed then' because I think the collection letters and the license plate situation are enough. I hope no one else has these kinds of problems because I really thought they were a great dealership until all of this. Still hoping to get the problem fixed one day. More
