I had an absolutely terrible experience with the service department at Demontrond, and I will never return. I brought my Suburban in on 3/27/26 for a routine oil change, a seatbelt repair, and to have my department at Demontrond, and I will never return. I brought my Suburban in on 3/27/26 for a routine oil change, a seatbelt repair, and to have my squeaky brakes checked. At the end of the visit, I was told I needed both front and rear brakes replaced. That immediately raised a red flag. I had my front brakes replaced in September 2025 at around 50,000 miles. At this visit, my vehicle only had 56,000 miles. When I questioned how brakes could wear out that quickly, the technician, Stephane, couldn’t give me a clear or confident answer and simply said “that’s what the mechanic noted.” I asked to speak with a manager and was told no one was available and that I should call back the following week. I did—multiple times. Over the next two weeks, I made four calls and never received a single response. At that point, my husband and I had no choice but to take time off work to show up in person just to get answers. I arrived at 8:00 AM and asked to speak with a manager. I was directed to James. He claimed he never received my voicemails and said another manager was conveniently out of the country. I explained my concerns again and pointed out how none of this added up. Only then did he bring my vehicle back, physically check the brakes, and confirm they did NOT need to be replaced. Instead of taking responsibility, he blamed a mechanic who also “wasn’t there.” Not once did he apologize—for the misinformation, the ignored calls, or the fact that both my husband and I had to take a day off work to resolve their mistake. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Between the lack of communication, the attempt to sell unnecessary repairs, and the complete absence of accountability, this experience was beyond frustrating. To make matters worse, this isn’t even my first issue with this service department. At my previous visit, they attempted to charge me $700 for a sensor that wasn’t even faulty. It turned out their diagnostic equipment needed an update and was producing incorrect codes. Once updated, the issue magically disappeared. This service department is either severely incompetent or intentionally misleading customers—neither is acceptable. I will never trust them with my vehicle again and strongly recommend others think twice before bringing their car here. More
