Service department evaluation found front right strut issue and recommended to ONLY replace the damaged strut. Jordan recommended that we should not replace the pair for ride and consistent responsiveness. I reluctantly authorized the repair. Car was at dealer from Tuesday morning until Friday afternoon. The job was to be completed by the end of business on Friday. I had to call the service department at 4pm to find out that the required part had not been delivered on the morning or afternoon parts order. The basic shortcoming of the service department is to not promise more than is delivered. One would also expect that the service advisor keep track of the jobs that he is responsible for during the day and let his customers know that jobs are not going to be completed as promised. It is also uncommon to receive advice to only replace one strut at a time. All other dealerships and smaller shops recommended replacing the pair. It is for this reason that I canceled the job, paid the evaluation fee, and decided to take the vehicle to another shop. More
