Love, love, love Tim Hachey and Darling's in Augusta!!! Two myths about car buying has been proven wrong for me. One, there is never a good car deal and two, car buying is difficult. We had been looking for a good car lease and I really liked the looks of the Hyundai Sonata. My oldest son was up for the challenge. He surfed car dealership websites and read the paper. That Saturday afternoon, while I was napping, he called Darling's in Augusta about the Sonata they had advertised in the Morning Sentinel. He spoke with Tim Hachey. Yes, the deal was as advertised and yes, they had a car left. My son said we would be there in one-half hour and hung up the phone. The next thing I know, I am awoken from my nap that we have to go to Augusta and look at a car. It is 4 on a Saturday afternoon, and away we went. One hour later, we were signing papers and on our way home. Snap the fingers, and we owned a new car with an excellent lease deal. Fast forward to March of next year. My son was home from college and looking for a car to take back to school. Again, he was reading the paper and surfing the web. We liked the Sonata and wanted an Elantra. He finds a great deal, but it is not at Darling's in Augusta. So, he calls Tim Hachey to see if he can match the deal. After a few phone calls between Tim and our son and Tim and Darling's, again we have a great deal with minimum of fuss. So, we are two for two. Life goes on and we love the cars. Fast forward to fall of 2015. We know our leases are up in early 2016 and we are not sure what to do next. So, I call Tim Hachey, came for a visit and looked at the new cars. Tim reviewed our lease options and next steps. I put his cellphone number on my speed dial. Most people get their hairdresser or doctor on speed dial, I also have my car salesman. It is now December on a Saturday morning. My husband reads the paper everyday. He points out an advertisement for Darling's for 2015 Sonatas, $149 a month. So, at 7:15 a.m., I texted Tim to hold a car for us, we would come in to check it out. We now need a car for our youngest son who is going to college out of state. Tim gets the text, not quite sure who it is, but by process of elimination, figures out it is me. So, after reviewing the lease deal and walking the lot, we make a decision. We came for one car at an excellent lease deal. We leave with three, yes I said three. We have two cars coming up for turn in early next year. We will not get a better deal on a car that we love. So, like I am shopping for sweaters, I am picking am out colors of cars. Again, a painless way to buy a car. Found us another Jeep! It became time for another Jeep, so we visited our friends at Darlings, told them what we wanted and when... within a week they had found us the ideal It became time for another Jeep, so we visited our friends at Darlings, told them what we wanted and when... within a week they had found us the ideal used Grand Cherokee.
