He didn't just try to sell me a car and get me out the door. He was conscious of my situation and really worked to find me a deal that met my needs and my budget. He worked to give me good trade value and found me an affordable lease option on a 2015 VW Jetta. Very pleased. While I was waiting, love having coffee/tea available, Liz(?) not sure of her name, came into the waiting room with a helper to install a cell phone service station where you could recharge your cell phone battery. I was delighted because my battery was low and need to contact my husband, however, I have an older cell phone and none of the chargers fit. So Liz went to my car in service, retrieved my charger designed to fit the cigarette lighter, and brought a portable charger from service that did have a cigarette lighter outlet. SUCCESS! My phone was charged before John told me that my c-max was ready. It took me a while before I was ready to sign the service papers, but John did not make me feel hurried. He was very helpful and cheerful. Thank You John and Liz(?). More

Unacceptable technican performance. I brought my 2009 Jetta Sportswagen in for its 80,00 mile check, which was exactly as stated and expected. Additionally I had been experiencing a rec I brought my 2009 Jetta Sportswagen in for its 80,00 mile check, which was exactly as stated and expected. Additionally I had been experiencing a recurring problem with my air conditioner. I explained my problem to the the service manger, who is always great, about the air conditioner not always producing cooled air, sometimes it did, but at all times after a while it did not, and this had been going on for a couple of months. I waited to have it addressed until I needed the 80,00 mile check to save a 90 mile round trip. The technician checked the temperature at the vent outlets and reported it was cooling just fine, but said he would road test it to see if there was a problem, which he later reported it did not duplicate the problem for him, so there isn't anything wrong. I knew there was, so during the following week I used our digital oven thermometer by the cooling vent; what I found was that at first it cooled to as low as 53 degrees, but after about 20 minutes, the air conditioner was producing vent temperatures as high as 67 degrees, but never lower than 63 degrees.. It was 77 to 79 degrees on the last test, yesterday, September 26th. Up until this summer, the air conditioner worked just fine. I wish the technician would taken the time and would have truly checked the problem as I explained, which was after a period of time, but now I have another trip. We have another 2009 Jetta, so we know exactly how the AC works. More
At home experience with an unbelievable sales team! I purchased a new 2012 Ford Mustang from Darling's Ford in Bangor Maine. I've never had such a pleasant experience at a dealership before. My salesma I purchased a new 2012 Ford Mustang from Darling's Ford in Bangor Maine. I've never had such a pleasant experience at a dealership before. My salesman Jerry was polite, informative, and extremely accommodating. I found my car a month prior to purchase. Due to uncontrollable circumstances I needed to wait to finalize the sale. Jerry went out of his way to hold the vehicle until I was ready for it. We kept in contact while I was waiting and never once did he make me feel as though I was going to lose the vehicle or was pushed to complete the sale. There was a scratch in the front bumper that had been touched up. He had his shop paint the whole bumper to look as good as new. I don't have one single complaint and Jerry has earned Darling's a lifetime customer. More

It was shortly before closing time, but Fred discussed car financing and other unfamiliar issues with me (it was my first time truly financing a car or spending more than 3 grand for one). The new models were a little out of my price range, and there were only a few used ones there. So Fred took me across the street to Darling's Honda dealership and took me on 2 test drives. He explained some features, helped me get an affordable loan, took the car to get washed, and stuck around to finish the whole process. (Two other guys in the Honda office helped with this process, too, but, unfortunately, I don't remember their names.) We didn't finish until about 9:15pm, long after the official closing time. Fred later found the spare key for me, and he even ordered a manual for me. The man really went the extra mile. More
Dedication of a salesman for a second time I came in to Darlings today to trade in my Jeep and get into a new vehicle. I knew right away when I was considering trading in where to go and who to see. Rick Souther helped my best friend get financed after a long and troubling process. He handled it with all the dedication and compassion I have ever seen from an employee. Where I was dealing with troublesome circumstances as well, I knew Rick would be the one to be dedicated enough to see me thru this process and not stop until I got what I needed. He welcomed me with a warm smile and remembered me from months ago. What a good feeling that was. He took into account exactly what I was looking for and searched for the perfect and safe "gem" for me. We ran into troubles with my negative equity from my trade, and it seemed impossible to get an affordable payment. Rick never gave up on me, he exhausted all options until he found a way to get me in a vehicle that was right for me and that I could afford. We landed on a lease with a 2014 Ford Escape which was more than I could have ever asked for. It was in my budget, and a brand new beautiful and safe suv, just what I wanted. It's not every day that you can find a salesman who truly wants the best for you and can be honest about everything from start to finish. He understood exactly what I was thinking and always listened to my concerns and never turned me away. Whenever we reached a roadblock he busted it down and found a way. Someone like this deserves to be recognized. I would suggest Rick to any family member or friend when they are in need of a vehicle. It feels like family when you are at Darlings. I brought my children with me, and a 4 hour car buying process isn't easy for a 2 and 4 year old, but no one got frustrated, they made my children smile, which made me as well. They took the time to get them balloons and say hello to them. Meant the world to me. And Rick always let them play with everything on his desk with a smile on his face. I will forever come back to Darlings for my vehicle needs because I know that I will always get quality service with a smile. I couldn't ask for any more than that. More
