Buyer Beware The following is a copy of what I have submitted to the Oregon DOJ Fraud reporting website with copies of my documentation showing the details: I The following is a copy of what I have submitted to the Oregon DOJ Fraud reporting website with copies of my documentation showing the details: I purchased a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Vin# 1C4BJWDG2GL106927. The vehicle was advertised with Dual Top Group. As the vehicle was sitting on the lot the soft top was not in it or on it, only the hard top. I called my sales person, Joel Valdez, to make sure the soft top was in fact included. He told me he would double check. Later he texted me a replay that said, "So went to Al, he said there is a soft top that goes with it too..." I later completed the purchase of the vehicle, traded them my old car, arranged financing, etc. I left the dealership and once I arrived back home, I realized that I had not received the promised soft top so I called Mr Valdez again. Mr. Valdez replied by text, "The used car manager isn't here but I'll look into it first thing in the morning - John didn't know so I'll ask the used car manager." Then this morning at 7:33, Mr. Valdez texted, "Good morning, I didn't realize I worked at 11 today, but as soon as I clock on I'll see about the soft top." At 11:28 Mr. Valdez texted, "So no go on the soft top, wasn't salvageable." I then told Mr Valdez that the top was marketed as part of the deal for the car and let him know that I have a window sticker stating "Dual Top Group". His response to me was that I can return the vehicle and reverse the deal. I said that I wasn't interested in returning the vehicle, that I wanted the equipment that was promised to me. Next a manager from Crater Lake Ford Lincoln called me and said that "there is no more money in this deal for them so I can return the Jeep if I wanted but that I wouldn't be getting the soft top." I replied that what they did is a bait and switch where they promised a specific set of features and then after the deal was completed, refused to deliver on those features. The manager's response to me was that if I felt it was a legal matter, I could have my attorney contact their attorney. I have printed my entire text transcript and I have a copy of the window sticker with the vehicle vin number stating that it would have 2 tops. I feel like I have been taken advantage of in this situation, I am not concerned if they overpromised and it costs them more money so that they have to take a loss on the deal. I am only concerned to receive what I was promised and purchased. - After submitting this, I decided that there are other vehicles on the market and I would prefer not to give this particular lot my money so I took advantage of my legal 3 day right to rescission, reversed my sale, gave the vehicle back and got my trade returned to me. Frustrated with Service Dept hours We have bought 5 vehicles ( 3 new and 2 almost new) from Crater Lake Ford over the years. I called to make an oil change appt and they informed me that we I longer make appointments. I then asked if they were open on Saturdays and also informed me they are not. They informed me that they only have drive up service, first come basis. I want my car serviced at Crater Lake Ford because that is where I purchased it and also want my maintenance records in the Ford system. I got off work early and arrived at 3:35 and was told it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours or more to complete the service. The service counter staff truly did not seem to care that I would be sitting there until 5:30 or 6:00. I said never mind and left very frustrated. I scheduled an appt at Butler Ford in Ashland on a Saturday. I also Spoke to a coworker after my issues. She owns a Mazda and has had the same type of experience at Crater Lake Mazda. Not to mention I live in Eagle Point so the drive is much farther to Asland but getting the customer service I am accustomed to is worth the drive. More

Al Gunn stepped in and "made us an offer we couldn't refuse." (I made that reference because, if you saw Al in a suit along with his looks and mannerisms, you would think he was a made guy.) Seriously though, one of my best buying experiences ever!!!!! New Lincoln Continental. Awful customer service! Gives Ford a bad name. Took my truck to them for various issues. One of which this would be the 3rd time taking it to them. They told me my truck would be ready the next day Took my truck to them for various issues. One of which this would be the 3rd time taking it to them. They told me my truck would be ready the next day they had to order parts. Then called me back and said it was ready. I went to pick it up, they charged me hundreds of dollars and didn't fix the issue. They told me to drive it around and bring it back the next day. When I went back the following day they told me they would call me to make an appointment and one of the technicians would have to drive my truck for a couple of days to verify what I'm saying is going on. Even though I do have pictures as proof. When I questioned being charged for an issue that is not fixed the service manager told me we had discussed that and they hadn't charged me previously. I pointed out the issue is still not fixed, I shouldn't have paid them at that point. Last time I took my truck to them I had to fight with them for weeks until they would believe me but something was wrong with my engine with a knocking noise come to find out I had a piston slap and they had to replace my engine. But only after contacting Ford and weeks of fighting with them. More
Terrible experience with the service dept. I usually do not write reviews, but after 3 separate bad experiences, I felt like I had to. Service dept. doesn't know what they are doing. The first I usually do not write reviews, but after 3 separate bad experiences, I felt like I had to. Service dept. doesn't know what they are doing. The first time I brought my truck in I needed one of my side mirrors replaced and a running light bulb replaced. I provided them the new side mirror. When I picked up my truck the mirror was on but it was loose and vibrated frantically while driving. They didn't change the running light bulb. The second time I came in my truck was having to be jumped pretty regularly, and I knew it wasn't the battery (because I had replaced it) and I knew it wasn't the alternator. Sometimes it started, and sometimes it didn't. When I had it towed in they said it started right up. They said there was nothing wrong with it. I took it home and continued to need to jump it every few days. I finally took it back in, told them the whole story, they were unapologetic about having not addressed the issue the last time I was in. I suggested a possible intermittent short in the sound system and said that would be a good place to start. After having it a day and half they called and said "we can't test it the battery is dead, and the truck won't start". I said..... "yes, that's why it's here. Charge it and test for shorts". Why did I have to tell them that? Then the next day they called and said they couldn't get the battery to charge - even though it was (A) a new battery, and (B) they had already said they tested it and it was good. I said... "ok, put a new battery in". They finally managed to get it started and powered so they could test for shorts and they found a short right where I told them it would be. They called to let me know, so I asked that they return the sound system to stock, that way the short would be eliminated. They said no problem. I finally came in to get my truck. The service guy I was working with said my sound system was returned to stock, the truck tested with no shorts, and I was good to go. I paid. When I got in my truck my sound system was completely dead. I parked and walked back in and told the service guy. He was confused and came to look at it... and indeed I have no sound. He went and talked to the people that worked on the truck and apparently they didn't address the issue at all! They didn't disconnect the after market sounds system, they didn't return it to stock... all they did was flip a breaker and isolate the sound system from the rest of the electrical system! I was was pissed, I could have done that. The guy apologized and I asked for my money back. He said he was going to make this right, bah, blah, blah. He promised to call me the next day to sort it out. It's been weeks and he has never called. I have literally never had a good experience with Crater Lake Ford's service dept. I do not recommend them at all. It seems that their people are either uneducated or don't care, or both. More
