Warranty work. Never returned calls. Untruthful and changing stories. Hard to find good help. Great phone recording system, never called back or answered. They’re indignant when held accountable for their incompetent process. Indicative of abundant customers don’t care about losing a few. I think they farmed work to Riata and never told me. Scratch them off the list. Roll your dice somewhere else. More

I have owned my car I purchased from Covert Ford-Lincoln in Austin for almost four years. When I purchased it, they also sold me a maintenance service plan. Called the Service Manager, Luis, today to sche in Austin for almost four years. When I purchased it, they also sold me a maintenance service plan. Called the Service Manager, Luis, today to schedule routine maintenance just to find out they won't honor the terms of the agreement anymore...it's no longer cost effective for them. Cannot recommend them as a reputable dealer any more. I will not be buying my next car from Covert Ford-Lincoln and will probably not buy from any Covert dealer given the dealer's leadership failure in Austin. More
I have never written a bad review in my life, but here it goes! I just spent TWO HOURS waiting to pick up my vehicle from service while on my lunch break on Wednesday afternoon. Just for them to pull my vehi goes! I just spent TWO HOURS waiting to pick up my vehicle from service while on my lunch break on Wednesday afternoon. Just for them to pull my vehicle around to the service drive! After 30 minutes they apologize for the delay. No problem. I politey let them know that I’m running late and need to get back for work. After one hour I ask again where my vehicle is, or if something has happened to it, because I have to get back to work as soon as possible. I’m told they’re working on getting the vehicle up front, it will be any minute. After an hour and a half I demand to know where my vehicle is and if they dont know then I need a ride back to work. They assure me someone is pulling it around “any second.” At this point I walk the lot thinking someones going to be performing PDR or scratch repair on it because whoever was pulling it out must have damaged it (truck is 6 months old). Can’t find it anywhere so I sit back down. After an hour and a half it appears they’re scrambling to find my vehicle. Finally they say that my vehicle “was about to be transferred to their remote lot offsite”- but they stopped that just in time and is being brought around “any second” again. Ten minutes later they come out and inform me that my truck has been parked in said remote lot for several days and they’re sending someone to pick it up right now. Needless to say, I’m furious that my new vehicle sat in an unsecure lot for who-knows how long- and they didn’t even know where it was when I arrived to pick it up! The two hours I spent there caused me to miss multiple appointments that afternoon and now I have upset customers on my end. This is the second new Ford I’ve purchased from Covert and first time using their repair service. I dropped my vehicle off and stated specific issues that have already been diagnosed third party. Both issues were easy to diagnose and replicate. And guess what- both issues they said they could not diagnose or replicate. They only tell me this after my vehicle sitting there for 11 business days after my appointment with no communication with significant effort on my part. I could not get ahold of my service writer via call, text, or email for four days in a row. Honestly at this point, I’m quite sure my vehicle sat in their remote offsite parking lot (off Riata parkway) for the entire two weeks it was in Covert’s posession and was never pulled into the shop. They were just tired of me calling and said come pick it up. Boy, was that a mess! Worst experience I could have imagined! More

They sold a maverick to me for 30k sticker price was 23k all the paperwork was wrong. Then when I went to get the tint I paid $500 extra dollars for it took 8 hours. They told me to come back after 2 hours all the paperwork was wrong. Then when I went to get the tint I paid $500 extra dollars for it took 8 hours. They told me to come back after 2 hours then said it wasn't ready even though they said it was so sat and waited there for hours. They detailed it and it looked like they hosed it down and that's it. Once they get your money they couldn't care less about you More
They pulled the old bait and switch on me out of the four cars I was told that they had on the lot for me to come and test drive they had exactly zero of them . And I had driven all the way from San Marcos i cars I was told that they had on the lot for me to come and test drive they had exactly zero of them . And I had driven all the way from San Marcos instead they tried to sell me SUV that was $4,000 more expensive Steve tried to put me in a piece of crap way overpriced Buick SUV of some kind on test drive .the entire time Steve had been telling me about this "awesome tricked out fully optioned Buick" he kept mentioning the 80-year-old woman who was the only owner of this vehicle. he mentioned it so many times!! it was just disgusting how he was trying to trick me into thinking that this was a single owner vehicle and that the single owner was an 80 year old woman, who according to him" took 10 minutes just to park the car bless her little soul" what a joke!! these salesmen are the pushiest and stupidest. I mean they can't even read their customers. I was ignoring the guy doing a scratch off while he ranted on and on and on and mouth vomited about this ficticious 80 year old woman and her pristine well kept ,driven like a baby, Buick. Well, theBuick was no babies suv. The transmission was slipping, sounded like the muffler was about to fall off, it was just so obvious that no 80-year-old woman owned this car it was probably given to a teenager as her first vehicle when she turned 16 or 17 maybe that's the kind of condition this vehicle was in. I mean what a joke!! just don't even bother with this place .I wish I had read dealers reviews before. You should go to Round Rock Nissan . they have cars at great prices they don't even try to push them on you !amazing sales people especially Joe !go and see Joe at Round Rock Nissan! He was amazing . I have had the displeasure I should say of of experiencing eight dealer Lots in the last 3 days and Round Rock Nissan was by far the best and Covert Ford was hands down no comparison the absolute worst of the bunch . Lies lies and pushy pushy pushy Steve our joke of a salesperson said yeah that's the kind of car I drive every time I'd mention a different make and model of car that I might possibly be interested in if they could get the price right oh yeah I love that car that's the kind of car I drive he must have 14 different cars in his driveway then because I mentioned 14 different types of cars he drives all of them that's the kind of car he owns that's the best one yeah he agrees that's right oh my gosh I really really can't say enough horrible things about Covert Ford what a joke. If I could rate them lower I would. We bought a car there about 1.5 years ago and got the maintenance package. After trying to use it just one, we gave up. A "scheduled" oil change took We bought a car there about 1.5 years ago and got the maintenance package. After trying to use it just one, we gave up. A "scheduled" oil change took over four hours! I swore I'd never go back. Fast forward, my daughter's car needed a new transmission. It is a known issue for Ford Focus I guess. Although still under warranty the part would take 12 months to arrive. My daughter was leaving for college on the East Coast so we didn't have that much time. I decided to buy her a new used car. This was one month after I lost my husband/her father suddenly. All was okay until we went into the Finance office. I told them explicitly I did not want any add-ons. The awful salesman kept trying to say it will only cost me X dollars a month extra for this protection or that package. He even tried to sell me the aforementioned maintenance package!! Keep in mind, my daughter doesn't even live in central Texas. I was a wreck and in tears. I said numerous times I did not want any add-ons. I thought we agreed. He went through the "sign here, initial here" part and I did without reading it. Keep in mind I was in tears and was an emotional wreck. We left, the next day I went over the paperwork when I had composed myself. He had added in four add-ons totaling $1862 including the maintenance package! He also reduced the trade in by $500. I went straight to the dealership and waited to talk to him. He swore I agreed to all of it - not true! My 20 year old daughter was privy to the entire conversation. He finally agreed to refund the add-ons. Of course, he started with just three and I "reminded" him there were four I did not want. I signed the refund paperwork and took a picture of with my phone, thank goodness! A couple weeks go by and nothing happens. I call the number on the form and was told he NEVER SUMBITTED IT!! The lady I am working with for the refund has been pretty good. However it has been almost two months and I have only received $495 of the $1862 I am to get applied to my loan. My son will be buying a new car with the insurance money his father left him. My car needs a new transmission so I will be buying a new car too. Guess where we will NOT be going! Last note on Covert. A few years ago I was going to buy a car. I found one that was in my price range. We took it for a drive, agreed on the price and when I took out my checkbook to pay cash the salesman, with all his salesman trophies around, told me that price is only a finance price and cannot offer it for a cash price. I left and went to Nissan in Round Rock and they were great. AVOID Covert at all costs. More
I bought a used car from these guys. I tried to negotiate the price and instead they offered me the ford advantage plan where I would get free oil changes for 2 years, so I took it. The I tried to negotiate the price and instead they offered me the ford advantage plan where I would get free oil changes for 2 years, so I took it. The sales person, the manager, and the person putting together the contract all confirmed that I was getting two years of free oil change, but when I went in to get my first oil change, they all denied it and and said it wasn’t on the contract and it’s not a common thing they offer. I tried really hard to get a hold of the sales guy to see why this is happening. He ignored all my calls and voicemails. DON’T TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY! If they read the contract to you and tell you they have put something in there, don’t take their word for it! Read the contract on your own, because they lie! More
