I called to confirm, was told that they're only available at that price if they’re on the lot, so I asked the salesman to check. He told me that he had a TDI Golf for $16599 and a GTI that he could get me in for under $17000. A couple days later I called to confirm that those cars were available at those prices, and Dennis the sales manager confirmed that they were. I’ll skip the details, but basically I went to the dealership with cash in hand, but was told that those cars are only available at prices mentioned if I lease for some $510 per month with a couple thousand down. Dennis apologized for the “mis-understanding”, ie, his lying to me on the phone, but still had the audacity to push a pre-owned car more “in my price range” even as I was calling him out on his lies. This s about the slipperiest dealer I’ve ever dealt with, and at the moment I wouldn’t take a car from them if they gave it to me. More

In addition, they took care of all the paperwork, I didn't have to do anything except sign my name, give them a check, and notify my insurance company. They took care of trips to the Registry of Motor Vehicles and my insurance agent, and payment of the sales tax. Even the price, while not the lowest I perhaps could have negotiated, seemed to be a good fair deal. So far in my life, I have purchased at least 13 new automobiles (11 of them Volkswagens), and this experience was the best, by a wide margin. I have been bringing both of my Volkswagens to their shop for regular service, and a couple of major repairs, ever since they obtained the Volkswagen franchise several years ago. I have always been treated very well, and the quality of their service work has been top-notch. I highly recommend the Commonwealth Volkswagen dealership. More

Best Dealership to be at. First day I went there I was greeted by numerous VW personals and was offered coffee/water and cookies. I worked with Dennis Millman and Jim Stretch and they helped me get the price and the type of car I was looking for. I have never been treated as nicely before at any other dealer. Most dealers put so much pressure of the buyer that it makes you feel uncomfortable and not want to buy anything but this wasn’t the case at Commonwealth VW. Dennis and Jim treated me with care and patient as I understood the purchasing and leasing process of a new car. I have had good luck with Commonwealth Motors. I like that they check to make sure that there are no recalls on the vehicle and they give me options. (I had been ready to purchase a car two days before at another local dealership but the salesman there was so obnoxious I took my checkbook (and my husband) and walked out). No pressure from Jim or anyone else at Commonwealth, everyone was very nice; it appeared that everyone there liked working there too which says a lot. They did not have the car I wanted on the lot but said it was not a big deal, they could certainly find me one....and did, within just a few minutes. I think I am going to be very happy dealing with them. More
