I did paperwork to buy nissan Frontier on Dec 8th 2023 around 8 pm with the dealership . I was told to go through their finance company since it was late at night and I could always refinance with my cred around 8 pm with the dealership . I was told to go through their finance company since it was late at night and I could always refinance with my credit union for their lower rates once i bought it . Next morning I called my credit union and they said that since the vehicle has high mileage they will not be able to give an earlier quoted interest rate. I went back to delership and returned the car immediately ( by 9:30 AM ) to get car that would qualify for the low interest. As it was still under the three day money back gurantee they took it back. First Problem: In about a week I get a letter saying that I owe monthly payments to the company they financed the returned car from. I called the delership and they assured me that the money will be refunded to the financing company but week after week it never did. It took them about 50 days and atleast 8 phone calls( a call every week ) and two times visiting in person for them to start the refund process. By the time they refunded the money the finance company already had marked my account deliquent. It took them almost two months to pay that account. At this point I am just hoping that this dosen't affect my credit score badly. Second Problem: Around Jan 2024 I start getting bills for toll use. It was for the car that i returned. At first the delership dismissed my request to find out why I am getting those bills. Only after I filed police report claiming improper use of my records they confessed to mistakenly selling the car to next customer with temp number plate associated to my records. The number plate had already been cancelled in DMV but was in the next unsuspecting buyer's car. For more than a month the new buyer was driving a car with cancelled plates. They promised that they will remove the temp number plate from the car and reimbursh me for the bills from toll tag authorities. I had to followup with them for almost one and a half more months to get it corrected. I was told that the check will be ready multiple times but when I went there it wasn't there. I was told it had already been mailed and it never arrived. I finally got the check yesterday March 2 2024. I am so amazed by a dealership with so much history and name , lack system and have an attitude to keep their customers lingering like this. More
