Went for Service, Bought a Car I took my car in for service. While it was being serviced, I took the time to wander the showroom. I saw the deals that were being advertised for cu I took my car in for service. While it was being serviced, I took the time to wander the showroom. I saw the deals that were being advertised for current VW owners and decided to look a little more closely at a VW Tiguan. I had always said that my next car would be a VW Tiguan. I dealt with Patrick McDonald. He was very helpful. Initially, I told him I was only considering a purchase, but he never treated my like a "looky lou". He gave me his full attention. Once he got me test driving the Tiguan, I was hooked. Patrick took the time to walk me through all the gadgets on my Tiguan while we waited for the paperwork to be generated by Finance. Even after that was complete, he walked me out to the Tiguan and helped me get my phone synced into the VW Car-Net and Android Auto. This was a tremendous help, as I can be a little tech-challenged at times. Patrick took was started as a mere thought of a purchase into an actual purchase due to his salesmanship, assistance and knowledge. More

Great Service Dept. I had an oil change coupon from another VW certified dealership in the city that was cheaper than VW Autobarn of Evanston. I called VW Autobarn of Evanston and they immediately honored the competitor's coupon. That said, Justin Russo was the Service coordinator who was great to work with and identified several things that needed to be eventually replaced on my car. No hard upsell, just upfront facts. I thanked him for the information and was on my way. Great people. More

I would not recommend buying from AutoBarn or Dennis Tomsa Couple months ago he ended up selling me a used car that was totally damaged. He straight lied to my Wife and I about the Carfax. He made it seem like we didn't need to receive a copy of the vehicle history. He obviously knew why, the vehicle had been damaged in 2 accidents and I am stuck with a $3500 repair. Thanks Dennis for lying to people to make a paycheck. Oh yea, he ripped my friend off in a lease by $150 a month on a Jetta lease. Know this because my friend just traded it in for a 2015 Jetta TDI and saved $150 a month with $2k of negative equity crossing over to the new loan. More

Excellent and timely service Daniel Herrera met me as I entered the service area and got out of the car. He invited me to his desk as he got in my Tiguan and took down the necessa Daniel Herrera met me as I entered the service area and got out of the car. Then during the service he called me (I was in my office downtown) to inform me of the necessary additions and told me that car would be ready when I arrived after work. And sure enough all the checks were accomplished and work completed and the car waiting for me when I arrived about 4:30. Again I was in and out in 10 minutes. Thanks More
