Went in for 1st oil change,and check up. The whole dealership is very attentive, and offer friendly service. They did a great job and I got a free car wash as well! It was my pleasure to stop by Chapman Mazda on Aug 27. 2010 to meet with Mr. Pabst in the service dept. Since he had given me the most excellent service on my 2008 Miata, naturally I returned to Chapman. 2010 to meet with Mr. Pabst in the service dept. Since he had given me the most excellent service on my 2008 Miata, naturally I returned to Chapman. On this day I was driving my 2003 Miata. I had been having trouble with reverse stick shift. (Hard to get into reverse). Oil chg was also needed. As usual Mr. Pabst did a superb job while I enjoyed coffee and donuts. "Oh my goodness what do I spy over there? Could that be a 2010 Miata?" Well it was and I bought it. I now have 4 Miatas. 1991, 2003, 2008 2010. I probably qualify for some grand prize from Mazda for my loyalty. I would drive nothing else. Mr. Bishop is the epitome of a professional finance gentleman. He explained everything and I felt like I got a super deal. Matt is Mr. Personality. Thus an excellent addition to your sales force. The car is for my wife, so I need it to be safe and manuverable(very good turning radius. We are retired and have limited income and the price and incentives was very good for us. It was a great new car purchase. I would not change my sales experience with Chapman Mazda in any way. I was very disappointed, even frustrated with my interactions with other dealers in the Phoenix area. Chapman Mazda was an entirely dif in any way. I was very disappointed, even frustrated with my interactions with other dealers in the Phoenix area. Chapman Mazda was an entirely different sales experience that was simply fantastic, especially in comparison to other dealers. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, 'real people' that I enjoyed dealing with. Also, the price was fantastic - they really worked hard to get me into the vehicle I truly wanted. Moreover, Mike McClaskey, Tim Murphy and Ali were relaxed, friendly and helpful because they knew that the sales experience I desired. This is true customer service. I have read other reviews of Chapman Mazda from 1+ years ago and was initially concerned they were be like everyone else - high pressure, agressive and even dishonest. That could not have been further from the truth. Apparently, major changes have taken place or those reviews were inaccurate. Given my experiences, I will always be giving Chapman Mazda my business in the future. More

I had an appointment on 8/19/10, with Michael McClaskey to buy a new Mazda 3. The appointment was scheduled between 10 and 11 am. The appointment was made on 8/18/10. I had exchanged emails with Frank Lem to buy a new Mazda 3. The appointment was scheduled between 10 and 11 am. The appointment was made on 8/18/10. I had exchanged emails with Frank Lemos for several days and was ready to buy. I drove 3 hours to get there, only to find it was McClaskey's day off. No one knew I was coming. Frank Lemos, would not be there until 1. I would have at least a 3 hour wait, if I wanted to wait for him. McClaskey had not bothered to tell him I was coming. No one could reach Lemos by phone. So I was stood up! I would tell anyone to not bother with this dealership, as they do not keep their word and will waste a customer's time. More
Pete provided excellent customer service. He kept me informed and had me out exactly the time he said and that never happened in the past. I was extremely pleased with his service and explanations of wh informed and had me out exactly the time he said and that never happened in the past. Compared to where I recently brought my car and the estimates I had received from them, I did feel the cost was somewhat higher. I was pleased to see a change in personnel because I would prefer Mazda perform the maintenance and repair for my vehicle. More
Norm went above and beyond our expectations. We had a mishap with our sunroof, literally exploded when we were driving...a very frightening experience. This occured while on vacation in Colorado and none of the dealers there were able to remedy the situation. Knowing that we were leaving back to Phoenix the next day, we called Chapman Mazda, (they normally service our Mazda CX-9) and they said they would have the new sunroof there by the time we arrive back in town. Norm thought the incident was strange and initiated a "rep" to look into potentially warranting the repair. We were fully ready to pay for the repair even though we thought we weren't to blame...just thought maybe it was a "freak" accident. After having met with the "rep," Norm phoned to inform us that this has occured in several other cases, specifically in the darker finished cars, such as black and plum. He mentioned further that Mazda was looking into this phenomenon and that because of this, Mazda was going to warranty this repair. Wow!!! What a pleasant surprise! I think Norm could have told us that it was just as we thought, a "freak" accident and had us pay for the repair. But, because of his honesty and integrity, he did the right thing and we are truly appreciative of this; and believe he deserves recognition for such a deed. Unfortunately, in this day and age, these character traits are few and far between, and because of his service "honesty," we will definitively continue to have our car serviced through Norm Rosen and this dealership. Chapman Mazda, you have a fine and honorable employee in Norm Rosen...THANK YOU! Oh, and not to forget Amber! Upon returning from Colorado, in our haste unloading the car before bringing to the dealership, my wife inadvertently lost an earring somewhere in the car. This earring had a very sentimental value in that my wife's mother, who had just recently been diagnosed with breast cancer on our vacation, had given this to her as a gift before leaving. My wife called the dealership upon discovering she had lost the earring in hopes of recovering it somewhere in the car. Amber, took the time to search for this earring and was successful in finding it. She promptly notified my wife and informed her that it would be in an envelope and available when we picked up our car. She was absolutely right, envelope was presented at check-out, and all is well. Thank you Amber for your time, consideration and courteous nature in making my wife smile again!! Once more, an excellent addition to the Chapman Mazda team....greatly appreciated!
