Due to circumstances, I was in the unfortunate position of having to give up a vehicle that I actually loved and DID NOT want to part with! After doing some research online, I headed to one of the closest dealerships to my home....Capistrano VW....simply to 'get it over with'. It is there that I met Sherie Simmons. Truly, I believe a Godsend! Being a woman, in regards to purchasing a vehicle, I appreciated dealing with another woman. She was SO pleasant, mild-mannered, straightforward, and down to earth. She made what I thought was going to be an unpleasant experience into a wonderful one. Not only was she knowledgeable, but was able to present me with a variety of options. I got a very fair price on my trade in vehicle and a great price on my newer (used) vehicle. I walked away actually excited and LOVING my new car. The whole experience (from trade in, to sale, to financing) was a breeze. Finance Manager Brian Silvia was quick, thorough, and also very pleasant to do business with. The staff at Capo VW is a well oiled machine and I am thankful that it is where I went first! If I am in the position of having to purchase another vehicle, Capistrano VW/Sherie Simmons will be my first stop. More
Volks, this is how buying a car should be. Good initial pricing, fair trade-in value and financing, and, most importantly, honest and genuine sales people. I would consider myself a bit of a car nut and experienced a lot of dealerships. I've purchased 13 cars in 8 years and thus my vanity plate on my 2010 E63...CARCZY.... I have to share an experience I had with this dealership that has been unmatched by any including Mercedes, Porsche, Infiniti and so on. I was in this dealership very early(not even open for sales) one morning looking at new cars and also inquiring about body work when an unassuming gentleman passed me looking like another customer in for service and commented on my STL Cardinal cap. We talked a bit about baseball for about 10 minutes before talking about VWs. I told him I was here just to look at the new Passat TDI since my wife and I loved out 10 Jetta TDI. He shared his knowledge on the Passat and what he knew about it. Long story short, I introduced myself as he did as Miles Brandon - owner of Capistrano VW. I would have never assumed I was talking to the owner of the dealership. Personable, friendly, and a very normal businessman that has a passion for customers, customer service and his growing dealership. He then proceeded to introduce me to his G.M., sales manager and others as if I were a member of his family. I've never been treated like this any business much less an auto dealership. I've never felt stronger about the phase ....people buy from people....no matter what product your selling after dealing with the people at Capistrano VW. I run a customer service business myself and will take this experience back to my 160 service givers. There is an old saying in leadership that...You should lead by example..... Miles - you should be proud of your example and those that I met during my visit. Thank you and great job. More
The entire staff was extremely helpful and genuinely nice. Dave was excellent and was very accommodating. This was the first time my wife and I went into a dealership and we didn't feel "pressured" or nice. Dave was excellent and was very accommodating. He didn't try to pigeon hole us into one particular vehicle or model, etc. Dave HELPED us lease a VW. He didn't sell the car. Big difference. We appreciate this very much and hope that more dealerships follow suite. Thanks again Dave and VW! More
October 2011- David "No Joke" Hoke was personable and knowledgeable about the brand. He made a promise to "earn my business" and that he did. Thus the nickname "no joke". I sensed a real commitment to EARN business not only from David but from others on his team, namely Nick the Sales Manager. Been to many car dealerships (varying brands) and have noticed something different about this one. No pressure, no disingenuous "sales approach" and a willingness to make a deal. The later especially important these days... I would definitely recommend to this dealership to anyone that is considering a new vehicle. They had some really nice pre-owned vehicles too! We leased, so pre-owned wasn't an option. More
Everyone in the dealership was extremely helpful, nice and positive. I never felt pressured just well informed. I went in to see what my options were and Andrea was awesome. In the last 3 years we have purchased three vehicles from Capo VW. Two new and one used. The first time we purchased a car from Capo VW we were shocked at the honesty and ethics of the sales team. I hate purchasing cars because I always feel like I'm getting worked from all sides by salesmen, managers and even the finance guy will be spinning me in circles. But at Capo VW, they were honest, upfront and didn't play any sales games. Our first purchase in 2008 was a new red Jetta for our daughter. Our experience was so great that when I wanted to purchase a new car for myself in 2009, I purposely chose a Volkswagen just so I could deal with the Capo VW dealership as opposed to any other dealership. It took me awhile to figure out which VW would work for me personally but I was truly commited to buying a VW just because of Capo VW. My experience buying the Tiguan at Capo VW was similar to the experience we had when we purchased our daughter's Jetta. Fair prices, nice sales team, no games, great interest rate and no hassles. But our purchase yesterday takes the cake. Yesterday we purchased a used Jetta from Capo VW for our youngest son. He is 22 and we wanted to cosign but did not want to help financially. Yesterday morning I called Capo VW, asked to speak to any salesman. I got Don Abadie. I explained the financial situation Cole was in and told him that Cole was getting ready to purchase a used car he had test drove the night before at another dealership. I really wanted to deal with Capo VW if possible. I asked Don if he could possibly find something in the same monthly payment as the car at the other dealership which looked like it was one year away from being a beater car. Don was so understanding and helpful and searched the lot and found something much better than I expected. He found a perfect car. He found a 2010 silver Jetta unblemished with only 38,000 miles on it at a rock bottom price. They had even put brand new tires on it. He offered me a free 2 year 24,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty with the car in addition to the warranty still left on the car. The financing was almost as good as my credit union. I decided to go with Capo VW financing even though it was 1/2 a percent higher just because Capo VW is easier to work with than my credit union. I called Cole and told him about the Jetta. Cole was so ecstatic!!! He couldn't believe that he could get a used Jetta with amazing warranty for the same monthly payment as the other very used car. In anticipation of our visit that evening, Don did great prep work. He had the paperwork ready, our credit scores checked, the car detailed and everything set. When we all walked in late last night, the papers were ready to sign. We test drove the car, Cole fell in love and we signed the papers and were out the door with a payment exactly what we had been promised which perfectly fit Cole's down payment and budget. No hassles, no last minute price switches, interest rate hikes, hidden fees. Nothing. Everything I was promised on the phone was delivered once I arrived. We absolutely love this dealership! My husband and I have purchased countless cars in 32 years of marriage for ourselves and our 3 children. Sitting at a dealership is something that I personally HATE with a purple passion. Buying a new car for myself or my family should be fun and exciting, not something that is going to require two Excedrin and an anger management course. Three times we have gone to this dealership and three times we have not been disappointed with their service, philosophy of business and customer appreciation. The service department is great too. before I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome while opening the door for me. Everybody I talked to was extremely friendly from to start to finish. My sales girl even stayed late to be sure she showed me eveything and all features of my new jetta down to programming the radio and heated seats as well emergency release in the trunk. I was also informed that the trunk is designed to hold gof clubs. Perfect!! She even sync my phone before she would let me leave. :} Super friendly!!
