Amazing sales experience, the way car shopping should be! I was in the market for a new 2016 Golf R. No dealer local had one, and the ones further away that did laughed when I asked about test driving. I was I was in the market for a new 2016 Golf R. No dealer local had one, and the ones further away that did laughed when I asked about test driving. I was treated like a moron over the phone by may dealers. I was ready to get out of my Boss 302 Mustang for it, so I understand what it means to have a limited production car and obviously was serious. Then, on a whim, I decided to visit Capistrano VW anyway, even though they had sold the one Golf R that I knew they had a few days earlier. And that is when I met Steve Skinner. He told me that they had just gotten in a red Golf R, it was in the back (still had some of the plastics from delivery on it). He offered me a drink, went and got the car, and said "here it is, want to drive it?" I was surprised, considering the fact that EVERY other dealership treated me like an idiot for asking. Steve proceeded to guide me on a lengthy test drive, explaining all the various drive mode functions. I was SOLD, I fell in love with the car, and was very happy that Steve had taken the time to explain the car thoroughly to me. A few days later, I brought my wife in to look at the car, test fit child seats etc, and they pulled it out of the showroom for her to drive it. Then, we began talking numbers. The process was not hard at all, and we were able to make everything work at comfortable rates and pricing. Additionally, there was no issue with price either. Many dealers are asking and getting a few thousand dollar mark up on these cars due to availability. Capo VW however didn't do that; whatever the MSRP was, that was it. They even gave us more money on the Boss 302 than I was able to find elsewhere. Needless to say, Steve knew we were there, serious, and ready if the numbers worked. They didn't play games and we ended up taking the Golf R home that night! I've LOVED the car more and more since, and am actually looking forward to bringing the car in for it's scheduled 30 day check. Now, Steve Skinner was our salesman, and he was fantastic. But the rest of the staff was top notch as well. So this review goes out to the entire sales staff, management and finance dept.! I have already recommended 3 people for GTI's and Golf R inquiries to go to Capo VW. You will be treated with professional courtesy and walk away with a smile... and a great car! We sure did! More

Mike was very helpful in answering and showing. I left the place decided this will be the place I will buy my VW car. He did his follow up. I set up an appointment to meet him with my husband. I was certain I want a Tiguan 2016, SE white with black interior as my next car. I do not have any complain of the process. Mike is very professional, takes the time to listen and respectful. My husband agreed and complimented the whole customer service of the place was excellent from the time we walk in to the time we drove away with our new car. More

A great car purchasing experience. I wanted a yellow TDI beetle convertible. I visited a dealer I the Central Valley who were very nice, but unable to deliver the car they found for me I wanted a yellow TDI beetle convertible. I visited a dealer I the Central Valley who were very nice, but unable to deliver the car they found for me and after 8 days, the car had not yet been delivered, nor had anyone left to retrieve the vehicle. I then went to a second dealer, I told them the car existed, and hoped they could find it for me. After 2 days of a salesmN trying to sell me other models and versions of vehicles, I finally decided to search until I found the car by calling around. I called VW Capistano and Mike said the vehicle was outside his window and put a sold sign on it for me. I then booked a flight down to Santa Ana to pick up my new car. Mike and his manager worked out a great deal for me and he even arranged for a protective coating to be put on my car during his day off, as well as preparing the paperwork for me. He arranged for a ride from the airport as well. It was just a perfect sale. I was on the highway in less than 2 hours after I arrived at the dealership. Mike gave me a great orientation to my car after the financial papers were signed and I was toured around the dealership and shown where my car was being detailed (Gustavo did a great job), the service area, and the lot. After 2 unpleasant experiences, I was prepared for the worst, and received a surprising fabulous experience. Mike even put some bottled water in my car for my 8 hour drive home. If that isn't service.... Mike even called me a couple of times to see how I was enjoying my new car. I really appreciate everything the crew at VW Capistano did to make my car purchase easy. More

No pressure browsing We bought a Tiguan here two years ago. We were just collecting it after service but curiosity got the better of us so we started to look at the newer models. Bennett Deming greeted us and walked us through some options. The whole experience was a sincere pleasure. He demonstrated a genuine interest in us and a real desire to help us. There was no unnecessary pressure or unnatural questioning - just a very sincere and engaging approach that made us both respect and like him (and ultimately the dealership). I think his approach is the right one for long term customer engagement and satisfaction. FYI - Bennett did ask us whether we preferred to deal with the guy who sold us the original car (Steve Skinner?) - I said no. More

I get there go through the whole process and we get to the numbers. His number is $2k more then he had quoted me. He says it's because I was looking to lease and that the price he gave me is different for a lease. Which is completly false. The price of the car is the price of The car wether I or VW financial sign the check. Look it up on any car sight. My credit is over 800 so that has no bearing. It comes down to him say one thing and doing another. I was lured in under false pretenses and untruths. I will not be back to this dealer. More
