You would think this meant my car would be diagnosed. However the diagnostic prices didn't even start for almost 2 weeks. Not one call for an update. I had to stop by or call for updates. Then it took forever for them to get the diagnosis and contact car shield. Then (not their fault) the car shield people took two weeks to get it approved. After approval Ford did not contact me. I had to contact them just for them to ask me if I wanted the work done. What did they think? Then it was they had to order parts. It's now January 17th and they still don't have the parts. They still don't call to give any updates. I have to call them. They've had my car since December 1. I will never return there once I get my daughters car returned. She's employed and a student and has been without her car for 7 weeks. More
After purchasing more than a dozen Expeditions and F150s and one leased Expedition from Bowditch Ford over 40 years I'm finished. The dealership just gets worse and worse. We usually just trade in for a and one leased Expedition from Bowditch Ford over 40 years I'm finished. The dealership just gets worse and worse. We usually just trade in for a new vehicle. I'm always told in the past that they only use the NADA guide. Last year I was told they couldn't meet the NADA book (tried to really low ball me) for my F150 Limited. I went to another local Ford Dealer in Hampton and got an appropriate (higher) offer which was in line w/ low mileage excellent condition (Dealer Certifiable) vehicle. We never leased one before but had been intrigued with a lease as the Sales Manager told us we'd never have to pay for ANY service. After we signed the lease we got a letter that after the first free oil change and service we had to pay. I was hot but the Manager said he gave us such a good deal he couldn't give us any free service. In other words we were lied to. We decided never to use Bowditch again. This summer my wife decided to turn in her leased Expedition buy a new one. I took her leased Expedition to the same local Dealer I'd bought my F150 from. They bought out my lease plus paid me $10,000. They didn't have an Expedition Limited she liked. We've been longtime Ford owners but she found a new model 2021 (redesigned) Tahoe High Country and couldn't be happier. I've told everyone in our extended family and friends of my experience. Buyer beware. I will say I will miss dealing /w Al in service. More
Bowditch Ford is not a trustworthy dealership. Their service department is the worst. I purchased a brand new car from the years ago, and have NEVER once had a positive experience with the service department. I purchased the extended warranty, too. I had my vehicle in many times for the same problem but they could never figure out what it was and dismissed me. Many phone messages were returned by Al, one of the service advisors. This is an issue that spanned from 2017, to 2019, to 2021. Imagine driving your new car for 70,000 miles with the same horrible sounds and not getting help from the dealership from which you purchased it with an extended warranty. Just an arrogant “I don’t have time to deal with you” type of dismissive response. The problem? No one ever thought to inspect the suspension system. Thanks for making buy so many sets of new tires in recent years do to the uneven wear of a faulty suspension. Thank you even more for making me pay more than $1300 for something that should have been covered under warranty when the issue was first brought to your attention. You have ripped me off in so many unique ways. I’ve owned many Ford’s, but I will not return to Bowditch for future vehicle purchase. More

I was told my headlights needed to be buffed out or replaced in order to pass inspection. Not a problem. I've since fixed that issue (it's maybe been 5 days) even though the paperwork that was physically handed to me says my headlights are fine, and after going back today, I now learn that there's more needed in order for me to pass inspection. Either the first person didn't do a full inspection as he/ she was supposed to or they're not being truthful about what I need repaired. This was a complete waste of my time and customer service is beyond lacking as well. I will not return - ever - nor will I ever recommend this location. More
Do not sell or trade in a car to Bowditch Ford. I sold a car, the process seemed a bit sloppy from the start and when we asked the finance manager over the phone the status of the payment to the lien holder car, the process seemed a bit sloppy from the start and when we asked the finance manager over the phone the status of the payment to the lien holder we got conflicting answers. 15 day payoff was agreement, it’s now day 19, bank hasn’t received anything. For a dealership that is “desperate for inventory” they don’t seem in a hurry to fulfill its part of the sale. I assume that the car will eventually be paid , but since it’s past the 15 day payoff quote, they will end up having to send another check which only delays their ability to sell the car. For a dealership that has been around a while they got some process issues. Time is ticking.... More

Got there at 9:45 said be a few minutes at 11:30 went back and they had not even got it in the shop, if they were running that late they could have told us. They gave no excuse, finally at 12:30 told me it was done. Picked it up. Had grease on the drivers side door and grease on carpet. No thank you sorry for running late. Nothing. Do not use them unless you want poor service More
I recently took my Ford Raptor into Bowditch Ford for an oil change and for them to look into a ticking noise I was noticing with my vehicle.(vehicle was still in good running condition) Upon completion of oil change and for them to look into a ticking noise I was noticing with my vehicle.(vehicle was still in good running condition) Upon completion of my oil change they did an inspection of the motor and noticed a spun bearing and notified me I needed to replace my motor. They assured me my warranty covered everything. I notified them that I would be leaving the state to head home to spend time with my family for Thanksgiving in 2 weeks and would need my vehicle travel home and wanted to check on the status of the new motor to make sure it wasn't on back order do the fact my truck engine hasn't been produced since 2014. They told me they couldn't check on availability of any engines in the system until they submitted proof to Ford the truck needed a new crate motor but continued to reassure me that I would have my truck back in 2 weeks to go home. I contacted them a week later and they told me they submitted everything to Ford and it was approved they were just waiting on the motor to show up. I was once again reassured I would have my truck back in time for my road trip. I once again called in a few days days later and no motor and no status update on a motor. After coming back from the holiday still no status update on a motor. I went another 3 weeks( with no one returning my calls I would have to visit the dealership once a week to talk to anyone) without a status update on an engine. I repeatedly asked if the motor was on back order and was reassured that even though the system hadn't updated the motor still might show up. They had my truck for 6 weeks before notifying the engine was on back order. I ended up having to drive the rental vehicle provided under my warranty home for Christmas. While I was home I found out the service department wasn't renewing my rental vehicle and was emailed on Christmas Eve front the rental company notifying me I needed to return the vehicle or face late fee's and possibility other repercussions if the rental vehicle wasn't returned immediately. Of course the next 2 days were holidays and couldn't reach anyone at the dealership. It took 4 stressful days that I was suppose to be spending with my family (800miles away) to fix what the service department forgot to do. Once again with nobody answering my voicemails or calls after Christmas I'd have to go in to speak with someone and was told they didn't have a date of when the motor would show up. They had my truck for around 8 weeks before I got my truck back. After getting my truck back I returned back to Florida. Finally at home ( with only 1200 new miles) I was rotating my tires and noticed my access plate on my skid plate for changeing the oil was never put back on. I reached out to the dealership once again with no response I notified Ford customer care and told them the plate was missing and must have not been put back on the truck after everything the truck has been through. They reached out to the dealership and the dealership told them they surly put the panel back on the truck and it must have "fallen off "and they won't be held accountable for it missing it is now my responsibility. My family has been in the car business for 20+ yrs back in Colorado and I have never been treated so unfairly or have ever seen a dealer pretty much call a customer a liar or blame them for a part they Knowingly removed and not take responsibility for it missing after they worked on it. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever been to and would highly recommend nobody take their truck there for survice unless they want to be lied to and ignored by the staff and have parts "fall off" after they service it.
