I was buying this car as a surprise for my wife for Christmas. On Xmas eve, Sandy delivered the vehicle to my how with a giant bow on it and we were able to successfully surprise my wife! I've only seen something like that on commercials and she made it happen for me. Wonderful car buying experience! ! More
Had to have repair done 2nd time after just 3 months Took our 7 year old Kia Sorento with less than 45,000 miles in because the battery and charge light were flashing. They replaced the battery and retur Took our 7 year old Kia Sorento with less than 45,000 miles in because the battery and charge light were flashing. They replaced the battery and returned the car to us. On the way home (right at closing time) the lights started flashing again. The next morning the car wouldn't start. Took the car back to Kia and this time they diagnosed an "intermittent alternator failure" and quoted over $700 to fix it. I questioned if the battery they replaced was actually bad the they assured me it was. Still I looked through my recent car receipts and found they had replaced the battery replaced less than 6 months ago. They agreed to refund the price I paid for the battery, but it would take several weeks. We decided to take the car elsewhere because the quote was so high. When we picked up the car they offered us a lower priced "after market" alternator. We said we'd think about it. Meanwhile, the other place had just popped the hood open and showed us on of the valve gasket covers was leaking oil all over the alternator. This other service department was up front and told us this may be covered by "warranty forever" so we took the car back to Kia. We had to gather all our service records because they change computer systems and had none of the original records. They after a few days waiting they denied our request due to gaps in the oil changes over 6 months (we don't dispute this, we put less than 7,000 miles on the car in a year so sometimes we did have gaps). We should have listened to our gut and taken the car back to the other service station, but we were talked into staying at Kia because they offered beat the other shops price. If this had been the end of the story, I would have been mostly satisfied. However, 3 months later our brand new alternator started to whine! Having lost all trust in the Kia service department, we took our car to the other service station and found the valve gasket was leaking! I believe either the Kia service department did not do the repair at all or did not do the repair properly. Either way, I do not trust this service department at all. We had the repair done a second time at the other shop. I requested a refund of the inadequate repair work done at Kia and they denied me because "I had already received a discount." More
Maximum Service at Minimal Cost Kevin was outstanding. He reviewed all of my service coupons received via mail/email and maximized my savings. I was there for a product recall notice I received in the mail and my 12500 mile service. One way was to recommend a service item that was normally done at 15000 miles so I could use a coupon that would expire before my next service was needed. He was very thorough explaining what was needed now. He also found another product recall item that was not critical. I had not received any notice about that one but it was completed without charge. My car was washed and vacuumed too. I really like my KIA Soul and the good service makes this dealership stand out. Kevin is the best service adviser I have encountered in the Melbourne area. I always ask for him when I call to make a service appointment. Keep up the good work. More
