1) long, expensive, and useless testing. whole day 510$ 2) WRONG DIAGNOSE. Bob Smith Toyota told me to replace harness. I refused, and went to independent, non toyota repair shop. After 1 whole day 510$ 2) WRONG DIAGNOSE. Bob Smith Toyota told me to replace harness. I refused, and went to independent, non toyota repair shop. After 1(!) hour of testing (including wiring test) ECM replacement was recommended. for 800$ (work+part). It worked, check engine codes were fixed!!! Two months now, all is fine. 3) RIDICULOUS pricing. BST asked 4000$ for harness replacement. Independent shops will do it for 1200-1500$. As i said before, this diagnose was wrong. I purchased my Camry on 3/24/21. Since then I’ve brought my car in for service 3 times, 11/15/21, 3/3/22 and 11/18/22. I have no idea why was done on 11/15/21. On 3/3/22 and 11/18/22 even though I had received emails stating my car was due for an oil change I was told at the service department my car didn’t need an oil change. On 1/23/23 I received another email stating, “your 24 month service is coming up.” So, if I bring my car in for service am I coming to told again my car doesn’t need it? More

One month ago, we took our 2017 Highlander in Bob Smith to check out an issue we were having with our battery draining completely. They didn't find anything actionable to address, except for brake pad rep to check out an issue we were having with our battery draining completely. They didn't find anything actionable to address, except for brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing. This past week my wife was left stranded due a dead battery. We took it back, and they charged us $365! to change the battery. I do not have much faith that they found the root cause, and if we have continued issues with the original symptom I will never return to Bob Smith Toyota for service or sales. More
