I recently brought my car here for service and it was damaged in the process. Instead of being offered an explanation or a warning that my car was damage, I was simply given my keys and told "your car is damaged in the process. Instead of being offered an explanation or a warning that my car was damage, I was simply given my keys and told "your car is outside." I was left to find the damage myself. When pointed out to the assistant service manager, Ryan, he was quick to say I'm sorry and told me he would set up a time to have the damage corrected. When I brought the vehicle back for the paint correction, I was brought outside and Ryan pointed out 2 flaws in the car that I was previously aware of. After inspecting the car further, I noticed 3 new marks on my car. One was about an inch long and was a deep scratch in my back bumper, the other 2 were smaller scratches on my passenger door, where they were supposed to be buffing out the other scratch they caused. When I noted these flaws, Ryan simply said "they're probably from parking in parking lots or something" and when I said "they weren't here when I brought the car in, he simply walked away and said "have a good afternoon." I did not have time to stay at the dealership, as I had to get back to work, so I attempted calling the service manager and was quickly passed back to Ryan. I then emailed the service manager and the email I received back was the most appalling thing I have ever received. He told me that they couldn't do a thorough inspection due to the salt and winter conditions and that they stood behind what they did and did what was in the best interest of the customer. He also stated "if you're not satisfied, you won't come back." I have never received such horrible customer service in my life, and I would really like to know how leaving a customer unsatisfied and with a damaged car, due to their error, was in their best interest. I would never go back and I would never recommend them to anyone. They are fortunate that there are not a lot of Volkswagen service centers in the area. More
Whoa Todd, this TDI recommendation is awesome! I picked it up on Saturday morning and have been getting 52 MPG on a couple of trips this weekend. Thanks for recommending it. Also I can’t tell you how much we appreciate you standing by the original deal even after it was discovered that there was a mistake that didn’t go in favor of Dorschel . With a recent new option for VW closer to our house I all most gave them a shot, but I knew there was a reason we had bought the last 5 cars from you guys and this last experience confirms that there is no way we will shop anywhere other than Dorschel VW. Went to buy a new 2013 jetta and they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. Said they would put a locate out and once they found it they said it would be 500 miles away and once all my financing was what I wanted on the lot. Settled for a different color and suddenly that wasn't available. Called sales manager Dave and he said he would call back before he left work. Never called that night of the next day. Now 4 days into the process I called back and Dave didn't call back after leaving a MSG. Gregory put out a search and said he couldn't find anything and couldn't spend any more time on it. Called dick IDE ten miles away and they had the exact car I wanted and turned out dorschel won't do trades with the dick IDE dealer. So good job dorschel you lost out on a sale and now your getting a bad review. Loose loose for you but win win for me because I got the color I wanted less than 24 hours after talking to sales at dick IDE and I got a lower price, better trade value, and free oil changes for life. Oh and a free shirt! More
I have heard good reports from family and friends about Dorschel's services. I was in the area and wanted to look for a car and possibly buy one if they had what I wanted. He was knowledgeable about the cars and what would best fit my needs, based on my 'must haves'. At no time did I feel pushed or rushed into making a decision. Mark made me feel comfortable and at ease with the process. I highly recommend Mark Fujimura. He has been at Dorschel's for a very long time (not sure how many years). His experience with Toyota, the cars, and incentives also put my mind at ease. I did purchase the car that I wanted and I have no buyer's remorse. Went in for an oil change and while driving home all the oil leaked out of my car. Have to get it towed back to the dealership. The tow truck driver stated that when picked my car up the oil filter fell f oil leaked out of my car. Have to get it towed back to the dealership. There was no sence of compassion nor urgency from the service employee...I would not recommend Dorchel VW to my worst enemy. More
Took Vehicle up to have it services for air conditioner was guaranteed that it was fixed and less than 1 week later same problem. Up 3 times in the last 3 weeks still not fix to the problem just more mone was guaranteed that it was fixed and less than 1 week later same problem. Snippy salesman, poor knowledge of product. Salesman I was working with at Toyota dealer did not know his product at all. Ex did not know even base price of one of their most popular cars, the corolla. Wo was working with at Toyota dealer did not know his product at all. Worked with other sales people at the other Dorschel dealers and found them snippy, and the greeter at their toyota dealer to be remarkably unfriendly. Their prices to top it are inflexible and sky high compared to their competition. Just bought a car from vw Vincent for over 1k under Dorschels price, no haggling and a pleasant sales experience. Why anyone would buy a car from these people is beyond me. More

My car was returned with 2 large cracks in the windshield after being serviced and passed for inspection.The same car had been stolen from their lot while in for service a few years back as well. Dan Welch was very knowledgeable in every aspect of the sale, from the features on the Golf that I purchased, to the pricing, loan process, and showing me around the whole dealership after the purchase. I have never purchased a new car before, so I was skeptical going into the sale, but I am confident in saying that after completing the process, I would gladly do this again. I feel that the price of the car was on par or lower than other dealerships within 100 miles of Rochester, and the car had all of the features that I wanted. It has been about 300 miles now since I purchased my new car, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dan, and thank you Dorschel! More
