An Enjoyable Auto Purchase Experience My wife and I purchased prior automobiles from Dorschel. Our favorite sales person, Ronnie Levine, has retired, and she highly recommended Frank Gattellaro. Ronnie actually came into the office while we selected a beautiful Toyota Avalon Hybrid. This is the first and only luxury automobile we have purchased, Frank was very understanding or our complicated situation of trading in older used vehicles and gave us a reasonable trade in value for these autos with the assistance of Rusty. The "comp check" system at Dorschel really does give you the lowest price, and we were impressed with the prices and the quality of the service. Frank had us briefed on the Entune system with Frank Montalbano who was very helpful. The manager Evan Stark we greatly appreciate for helping optimize our purchase experience. We actually enjoyed the experience. This was the best car buying experience we have ever had. We recommend this dealership and our sales team with high enthusiasm and without reservation. Thank you, Dorschel! More

Was an horrible experience. My appointment was for 8:30 a.m. and yet I'm still here and it's currently 1:00 p.m. I came in for service due to my "ABS" light coming on and off, which when I called them some a.m. and yet I'm still here and it's currently 1:00 p.m. I came in for service due to my "ABS" light coming on and off, which when I called them someone at the front desk said if its not staying on then there isn't anything wrong with it, then proceeded to say it could just be an sensor. So I ended up going to the store while my car was being serviced and they never even called me. So once I got back... They said we tried both numbers you have on file and no answer, then once I asked what numbers they had, it was correct but they never called. Smh! The lies just continued. Now they say that it's a $50 deductible because the ABS isn't covered, but I only had the car for 2 months! What I'm saying is that "Upstate Auto" is a horrible company that tries to feed you to get the premium plan and come to find out. Your really screwing yourself! And Dorschel Toyota isn't any better, well at Least this location. At this point I'm seriously upset, because the employees don't know what they're talking about and giving false advice and are liars! And I'm still waiting.... Ugh never again. Upstate Auto on West Ridge Road is a Horrible and I repeat Horrible company.... They make it sound good to sell you the car and then leaves you high and dry when something goes wrong. It's not the money, it's the principal. Signed, Angry Customer More
I got an amazing price with absolutely no pressure. Ian was very thorough and extremely patient and understanding, laying out all the options in front of me, including backing out at any time. He was especially patient in changing the car I wanted at the last minute without hesitation. All in all, a superb experience. I highly highly recommend Dorschel Toyota and specifically, Ian Lewert. This past weekend my wife and I decided to replace her car. Saturday we spent about 4.5 hours at another dealer. It was the typical "car sales" experience, and the payments were far too high on the Rav4 we decided on, which they had priced at sticker. They also lowballed us on the trade in. The whole experience was very stressful and exhausting. Sunday we go on line to see what Dorschel has on the recommendation of a few friends. We find a similarly equipped brand new Rav4 for $1500 LESS than the competition (and $2500 under sticker), and this one had four wheel drive too. I send an email about the car we want, and Robert called me within an hour. At 4:30 pm on a Sunday no less! Impressed with what the price and the communication, I decided to go there on Monday. I drive the Rav since I hadn't already. Then they evaluated the car we were trading in. I got to ride with the appraiser (at the other dealer, it was a faceless anonymous person). When he noticed problems I explained them and told him I would gladly fix them before bringing it back if needed. He said that wasn't really needed on a car that was going to auction. He even answered a bunch of questions I had about my other car and trade in. They ended up giving us A LOT more for the trade in, a figure based on actual numbers from comparable cars sold at auction, not bull pulled out of thin air. And the whole thing was very laid back and had zero pressure. They show you their prices online (imagine that - no fighting over price). And they should - their prices are than anyone else. The whole thing (from first handshake to driving off the lot) took less time than we spent just LOOKING at the other dealer. Dorschel has won a permanent customer. They really were clear, simple and different compared to the competition who was muddy, confusing, and typical. More
My experience with Dorschel, and Gene Clancy in particular was fantastic. He aked me what I wanted to purchase, and what monthly payment I could afford. He then went out and found the perfect fit f particular was fantastic. He aked me what I wanted to purchase, and what monthly payment I could afford. He then went out and found the perfect fit for me in the parameters described. I could not ask for more. He bent over backwards to make sure I had a pleasant buying experience and really took what is usually a stressful period of one's life (buying a used car) and made it carefree. I was assured all would be well by his confidence, and he delivered what he promised! More
I am NOT a fan of car shopping and I am NOT a fan of spending more than $15,000 on a car, so I am not exactly the kind of customer you look forward to serving. We had planned on (next year) trading in b spending more than $15,000 on a car, so I am not exactly the kind of customer you look forward to serving. We had planned on (next year) trading in both of our cars, a small compact car and a big SUV for new ones next year after my wife started her new job (she's in school). However, our big car died on us, and we needed to push up on the purchases. We traded in a Expedition and were going to get another compact car - but Ian showed us lots of options that seemed to be more affordable than I had thought, so we went ahead and bought a van and will wait on the small car to the end. In any case, we had two kids running around the dealer, we had a bucnh of schedules and information to coordinate, and he handled it patiently and with aplomb, even as I know he was tired and working beyond his hours. He was honest, easy to work with, and seemed to be patient with me, which is not easy to do. In any case, you should know that he works hard, and that he demonstrates the importance of customer service to you. Our only time to shop was on a Sunday, and Dorschel was one of the few businesses open then - I would not shop at a company that wasn't open. Further, I selected a toyota because of its price, quality and reputation, but also because is has received no bailout from the US government, and because others stand behind that product as well. I could say more, but I think you get the point. Well done - it's nice to see a firm committed to top notch service, and I hope the workers are rewarded for delivering it. We plan on recommending Dorschel and will be looking to purchase our compact car there in the near future when our situation calls for it. Many thanks, Mike Rizzo More
Steve was friendly, knowledgeable and, this being our first new car buy in quite some time, very patient with our questions. Financing paperwork went quickly and without a hitch. Steve obviously knows a lot about cars and the car business. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle itself, and he was extremely efficient in conducting the trade-in quote/transaction (which is k business. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle itself, and he was extremely efficient in conducting the trade-in quote/transaction (which is key to a good deal, if you ask me). When the vehicle I wanted wasn't on the lot, Steve worked tirelessly to find the one I wanted. And he remained very pleasant during my multiple phone calls asking last-minute questions and the status of finding "my" car. Steve is a great person to work with - and he takes away the pain of buying a new car. I had the best car-buying experience so far! Thanks Steve. More
Good experience. There was no pressure in making the sale. Been driving the Toyota Carolla for about 2 weeks or so now and haven't had any problems with it.
