STAY AWAY! might as well just go to a buy here pay here scam lot. These guys are liars and swindlers and don't stand by their word. They ran my credit FOUR times and wrecked my score - i only authorized 2 pulls. Promised certain things as a part of my purchase - I shook the salesman (Tom Fields) hand and agreed to a deal. As soon as i went inside they started changing it and trying to confuse me. Long story short the promises they made weren't available like Tom promised they would be and when i asked the sales manager (Monte) and GM (Ben Lewis) for assistance they ignored me. I have filed a complaint with GM and i will never buy another GM product again. This was a 2018 Corvette so not a cheap car! Ben Lewis, the General Manager doesn't care about his customers at all and could have avoided this negative review but chose to be a jerk. Hope you read this pal. More
Poor customer service I had seen a truck I was interested in on line. Ellen McCullough emailed me and said the truck was available and when would I like to come in for a test drive. I called but she took a sick day and talked to her boss Kerry and he set up appt. for Saturday 9 a.m. At 8:15 a.m. on Saturday morning I got a phone call from Richard asking me if I was still coming up and I said yes... When my son and I got there we talked to Richard ..He asked all 6 salesman sitting there who would like to take care of me and my son and they all just looked at each other stupidly...I knew something was wrong just then. Bill took us out to the parking lot looking for the truck and came back in and told Richard he couldn't find the truck....all the salesmen looked at each other....Richard told Bill don't be a worry wart....well guess what...Richard went into the office and saw that the truck was sold the night before at 9 pm....Richard said there were other trucks available but we knew they were more expensive and not what we were looking for. Very disappointed....driving 47 miles up and back for no reason... More
Fast and fair service! I had a strange popping noise coming from the rear wheel. Matt and his team fixed my problem in about an hour. My bill was just $63.00. It turned out I had a strange popping noise coming from the rear wheel. Matt and his team fixed my problem in about an hour. My bill was just $63.00. It turned out there was a service builtin on this problem. That said, my car was well out of warranty. Like I said above, fast and fair. More
What a relief it was. My wife and I were in a Honda Fit lease and it was time to buy it or give it back and we had about a week left. This is my wife's car she drives from My wife and I were in a Honda Fit lease and it was time to buy it or give it back and we had about a week left. This is my wife's car she drives from North Port to downtown Sarasota on 75. The Fit was a great car got great gas mileage (averaged 38 mpg) but the small size bothered me her being on 75 for 5 days a week. So we wanted a larger car but with better gas mileage. Unlike many I believe we are going to have oil prices come roaring back with people like Mr. Kim in the world. I would love to buy a Tesla but even if the new lower priced model was out we couldn't afford it and then you have the range limitation which wouldn't bother me but my wife was out on a pure electric for that reason. That leaves Hybrids. I considered the new Accord which was my 2nd choice but first I wanted to look at the Volt. I tried getting lease prices online (leasing makes the most since for my wife because of the high miles she puts on a car ( new car every 3 years, next generation safety equipment, under warranty, under roadside, free maintenance, etc.) and made the mistake of giving my name, email and phone number had half the dealers in Florida calling, texting and emailing me. So on Saturday (04/15/17) we decided to go to Bill Buck Chevrolet in Venice (coin toss) it was the closest dealer to the north it was them or the old Palm Chevrolet now Gettal Chevrolet closest to the South I was contacted by both didn't respond to either one. So we get to Bill Buck the salesman Jim was very pleasant but not in your face (the Vulture treatment). I told him I was interested in two Volts I seen online said he would get the keys the silver car was sold but my first choice the red was still available. Jim didn't ask if we wanted to drive it just brought a plate put it on and handed me the fob. My wife didn't want to drive the car so I drove with her in the passenger seat. It was so solid and quiet (was almost fully charged and almost full of fuel how bout that) we could have been gone longer than the 10 minutes but didn't need to. Now for the dreaded part the making of the deal. We went inside and sat down with Jim and with no trade and doing a lease it just came down to the price of the car, the down payment and the monthly payment. I had looked at CarGurus and Truecar for the fair selling price and the lease was a national lease from GM (so its subsidized you just have to qualify). When Jim came back with the numbers I was pleasantly surprised it was better than what I expected based on my research so I asked my wife if she wanted me to make the decision she said yes so I told Jim we wanted to do the deal. I think he was a little taken back just my feelings I could be wrong. Could I have shopped more dealers or told them they were to high on price yes but they had the car which I wanted as far as the equipment and color and felt the price was fair. Did they make money on the deal I hope so or they wont be around for my service needs. Everyone at the dealership was friendly other salespeople opened doors for us offered us water the sales manager came in and introduced himself (sorry I forgot your name) and shook our hands and thanked us for the business which was all very nice. The last person we dealt with was Rafael he did our paperwork. He was very professional very business like not in a bad way just in the way he went over all the dollar amounts and the paperwork explaining what we were signing. I normally don't buy the things offered by the dealership like extended warranties we did on the Honda and never used it. But Rafael did explain a feature you can purchase that forgives damages done during the lease like dents, scratches, worn tires etc. up to $5000.00 which cost $799.00 which we went with because my wife got hit at least twice in the parking garage at work and she hit a plastic barrel on 75 that was in the road nothing major one small dent the rest is paint scratches but I wont be surprised if we get a bill from Honda (haven't done the return inspection yet) for that and two of the tires are pretty worn. Normally I don't write these reviews because I am a procrastinator so I am doing this at 2 AM in the morning because otherwise it will never get done. I now find my self reading the reviews online other people have left but its mostly for the product not the business that selling it with the exception of EBay I do leave feedback about the seller and the product but this is the first time I have ever reviewed a local business. I did read Bill Bucks online reviews as well as Gettal and Sunset Chevrolets they all had good and bad reviews so maybe I was just lucky but I don't think so everyone seemed genuine and appreciative of us being there before and after the purchase next will come service so I will include an update after the first visit which is one of two free that you get with the Volt I don't know about other Chevrolet models but that's what you get with the Volt which should cover us for about one years driving maybe a little more. I'm not going to proof read this so please overlook any mistakes its late way past my bed time and I'm not going to proof read this. Lastly can't say anything good or bad about other dealers other than if they get your info the will be calling, texting and emailing you which next thing I must do is let them know I made a purchase so they will stop but hey they are just doing their job and want the sell for themselves and their dealership so you can't blame them that's how they stay in business for their customers. Good luck shopping hope your experience is as good as ours was wherever you buy. God Bless. More
Holding my hummer captive So I called last week to make an appointment to have my shifter cable replaced. I talked to parts department first and found out they had it in stock. So I called last week to make an appointment to have my shifter cable replaced. I talked to parts department first and found out they had it in stock. I dropped it off on a Friday, my appointment was set for Monday at 2:00. I got a call from them on Saturday saying they had some time to look at it and gave my a laundry list of other things wrong and in need of repair. I only authorized one additional thing to be fixed because they had parts in stock. So come Monday I gave them a call to see if I could pick it up and was told they weren't going to work on my truck until my appointment time. I wait all day and finally call them at 4:30PM and I'm told they have my truck torn apart and now have to wait for a part to come before I can pick it up. I told them I needed my truck back and could not wait anymore for them to fix something they could have fixed on Saturday instead of trying to get me to have a complete engine overhaul. Finally after telling Pat I needed to speak with a manager did she put me on hold and when she came back said if I could make it there by 5:30 they would give me a loaner car. Did i mention I called her at 4:30 it was now 5:10. So my husband rushes me there and they have me a car, but have to use my own insurance and run my credit card and charge me for gas! So there sits my truck in the parking lot not "torn apart" and nobody has any idea what part or what is going on because the tech working on it has left and no one has his phone number. I did get a lot of promises that they would look into it and call me in the morning. If they can't call me in the first place why would they bother to call me tomorrow. I have had this truck for 10 years and have taken great care of it. I have recently relocated to this area and had it completely checked over before I drove it down here to be having so many issues in a month. And I have never paid so much for service. They go by a "book" so if it says charge 2 hours they do even if it takes 5 minutes to fix. I have one piece of advice for anyone reading this unless you want to be ripped off go somewhere else!!!!
