AWFUL SERVICE DEPARTMENT! My whole experience with this place has been crap from the start. When I took delivery of my new 2012 GTI in April 2013, I noticed a dent in the door My whole experience with this place has been crap from the start. When I took delivery of my new 2012 GTI in April 2013, I noticed a dent in the door that was not there when I test drove the vehicle. The manager was gracious about this and fixed it, but it foreshadowed the next almost 2 years of my ownership of this car. I've had various rattles since about 5000 miles, many of which Bert Smith's tech department mysteriously "couldn't reproduce" or said that "VW isn't aware of this so there's no TSB for it". One such issue was the front subrame bolts would tend to come loose and cause the subframe to hit the body of the car, causing a loud "thud". I found a TSB for the Jetta and brought it to them, but since VW didn't make a TSB for the Golf as well, they made me pay out of pocket for this fix. After a recent accident, I brought it to their body shop to get the work done since they were the nearest VW Certified collision center. I found that they didn't reinstall interior panels properly, scratched my front fender, oversprayed on things that they shouldn't have even sprayed in the first place, and even left their tools IN MY CAR! My most recent experience had them replacing one of the seat belt buckles because it was rattling. When I get my car back, the ENTIRE BACK OF THE CAR is now rattling! Every time Bert Smith messes up, I end up going to another dealer to fix it. I'm bringing my car to another dealer this Saturday to fix whatever it is they messed up this time. Their techs seem completely incompetent and unable to do the most basic of jobs without reinstalling a panel wrong, forgetting things, or completely disregarding the concerns of the customer. Done with Bert Smith. Never going there again. I'd rather go to Tampa for service, at least there's one dealership there that has been pretty consistently good for me. More

Fast, courteous, and attentive James was a great sales person to work with. He was quick and courteus, conversations were direct without all the pressuring you might find elsewhere. He answered all our questions and managed to get exactly what we wanted for the car. Although we didn't get a "great" price at this dealership, no dealer in the state was able to offer anything better since It is such a new car. I would recommend using them in the future. More
