WOrst Volvo Dealership period. When u bring your car in WOrst Volvo Dealership period. When u bring your car in for repairs, they only want to REPLACE things and never fix anything. Then charge you triple WOrst Volvo Dealership period. When u bring your car in for repairs, they only want to REPLACE things and never fix anything. Then charge you triple the fair market price. Oh theres also the 130 fee just to tell u whats wrong. ONce u hand over ur bank account, and they supposedly fix the problems, u start driving the car and notice a new problem that wasnt there when u brought the car in. They will then proceed to tell u that this had nothing to do with what they did, and give u a new figure to pay to have that repaired. ADVICE: find another repair shop. Where you will get cheaper and better service. My recommendation: Volvo-repair-nyc.com More
Great experience. Rotante helped me through the lease of a 2011 XC70 quickly and honestly from start to finish. He took the time to walk me through the pros and cons of the XC90 vs the XC70 and I know I ma a 2011 XC70 quickly and honestly from start to finish. He took the time to walk me through the pros and cons of the XC90 vs the XC70 and I know I made the right decision. He also followed up with me over email a few weeks after I walked off the lot just to see how I was enjoying the car. (The rest of the crew over there was great as well - particularly with my financing/warranty questions.) More
I had a great experience at this dealership. Everything about the vehicle and finance options was thoroughly explained to me and nothing was omitted. The sales rep, John Rotante, was also very accommodatin about the vehicle and finance options was thoroughly explained to me and nothing was omitted. The sales rep, John Rotante, was also very accommodating, as I had changed my mind about some purchase options a few times. Highly recommended! More
Terrible attitude. Attempted to drop my vehicle off for an oil change. The price listed on line is $79.95. They were actually going to charge me $100. "The price online is incorrect". I was told. Also an oil change. The price listed on line is $79.95. They were actually going to charge me $100. "The price online is incorrect". I was told. Also, I asked a favor to hold my car for four days as I was traveling of town. I was told, "this is not a parking lot". Which of course I understand, but as I learned, its not what you say its how you say it. Finally after declining the service, an employee attempted (best I can describe it) to drive my car out of the shop, he stalled it twice. I stood in front of the car until someone else removed it. Bottom line. Go somewhere else. They don't care. Just ask their service manager who told me to take my business else where because I used profanity when the employee couldn't drive my car out. Really, I was treated terribly so unfortunately I cursed. Get over it. More
THIS IS THE WORST DEALERSHIP I EVER SET FOOT IN !!! NOT ONLY ARE THEY TERRIBLE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE - THEY ARE FLAT OUT LIERS ! DONT EVEN THINK OF DOING ANY KIND OF BUISNESS WITH THIS PLACE. i WAS ONLY ARE THEY TERRIBLE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE - THEY ARE FLAT OUT LIERS ! DONT EVEN THINK OF DOING ANY KIND OF BUISNESS WITH THIS PLACE. i WAS NOT THE ONLY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. WHILE I WAS IN THERE, ANOTHER CUSTOMER WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE !!!!!! AND IT SEEMS TO BE AN EPIDEMIC THERE WITH ALL CUSTOMERS- JUST READ THE REVIEWS !!! I called in advance to see if they had a waterpump in stock and to come in to pick it up. they not only assured me they have it .. they quoted me a price that was 25 percent higher, which I was more than willing to pay, than other local dealers in the same area ! I was there withing 45 minutes ( the time it takes me to get there) . As soon as I arrived and asked to speak to anthony ( same fellow) who spoke to me on phone ... he " claimed" the part was "just sold" to their service shop to repair anoher car ... I was furious, as I was NEVER told they had only one in stock, or even offered to accept payment via credit card and have it held for me..... it seemed like they make their customers come in pay for parts and THEN order them !! outrageous to say the least ... you get better stocked shelves at ur local pep boys ... it is a shame they even carry the name VOLVO !!!! this is not even the first "scam" dealership i encountered in NY .... they offeredno opologies, courtesy discount for a future order , etc. they merely said we can get it the next day... pay for it now, or dont and come in again tomorrow and take ur chances. needless to say i was not willing to take another chance and drive 45 more minutes for another scam !!! another lady had the same issue while I was there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the supervisor as well as the other employees there were rude ............... NEVER again will i set foot there ... needless to say - another 45 minute drive to another volvo dealer , my pump was purchased for 20 persent less and excellent customer servise from a very informative representative ... !!! The first time I went to Bay Ridge Volvo was for the $ 150.00 alignment of my wagon. The steering wheel was tilt way too far to the right instead of slightly to the left. I was unhappy and I went to a che 150.00 alignment of my wagon. The steering wheel was tilt way too far to the right instead of slightly to the left. I was unhappy and I went to a cheap local shop and they fixed it my way (paid from my pocket the extra $ 120.00). Recently I had a heat core damage and had to return 3 times to get it done the right way, it kept leaking and loosing coolant (of course every time I had to pay for the extra replacement parts, Volvo Bay Ridge never looses). Do not ask me why I went back to replace the oxygen sensors when the check engine light went on! Since then it is the 4th time I have to go to Bay Ridge Volvo because the check engine light keeps going on every other day. Of course every time I have to pay out of my pocket for some extra replacement parts that are damaged and are causing the check engine light to go on. In my opinion Bay Ridge Volvo is expensive and not worth the money. More
Charged for braked that were not replaced. Charged for tire rotation that never happened. Have had a water leak through the sunroof which Bay Ridge Volvo has failed to fix 4x. I have a V50 - other owner tire rotation that never happened. Have had a water leak through the sunroof which Bay Ridge Volvo has failed to fix 4x. I have a V50 - other owners beware. There is a catch (net like) at the end of the drain hoses. These need to be clipped so there wont be a backup of materials and the pipes can drain properly. More
These guys are great... Great customer service on the sales side, (could possibly be a little more product knowledgeable, but they find the answers) Service area is amazing, They are open til midnight, t sales side, (could possibly be a little more product knowledgeable, but they find the answers) Service area is amazing, They are open til midnight, there are TVs, Internet and a kids play area in the customer lounge. I was going to say they are a little slow, but I must mention that I came at 7PM on a Thursday with no appointment, and I was out in 2 hours for a warranty repair, so maybe they are actually pretty fast... I purchased a 2008 V70 through the Costco program. Costco referred me to Bay Ridge since there were no NJ participants. John was was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I had the Co Costco referred me to Bay Ridge since there were no NJ participants. John was was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I had the Costco advantage, buying at year end with new models about to arrive, and a Volvo incentive program in place. Thus, I had greaat timing and didn't feel like I had to push the great deal I was already getting. Still, John was a gentleman, responsive and he went to extra lengths to get us the color we were looking for. At other times of year, I think one would get a very fair price with John, and certainly an very good experience. I very much recommend John Rotante and Bay Ridge. More
having been a customer of this dealer for the last 3 years, i took my volvo v70 for a 90k miles service. at the time of dropping the car, i was asked if i had noticed something else that needed to be re years, i took my volvo v70 for a 90k miles service. at the time of dropping the car, i was asked if i had noticed something else that needed to be reviewed. i told Mr. Perez that one of the brake lights was not working properly. also told him i have noticed a noise in the front right wheel, specially when riding over a bump. Besides that, i wanted him to check the car's shift to see if was working at its optimal. he tried to charge me $105 for diagnosis of the noise; and $105 to diagnose the status of the shift. after seeing his prices i asked him not to diagnose anything, and only do the 90k mi. service, and brake light. When picking-up my car, i noticed he was trying to charge me $870 instead of the $579 pacted for the 90k mi service, and $50 for brake light. we argued, and he took the overcharge out of the check. when leaving, one of the mechanics told me that there was a problem with the brake light. i came back and talked to Mr. Perez. who said he will credit me for the work. at the same time, right in front of me two of his mechanics opened the brake light compartment, took a light bulb they supposedly had put in before, and left the light socket empty and closed the compartment. so i told them that it was not acceptable for them lo leave the socket empty. they did not listen my complain and left. Mr. Perez also did not care, and there i was left with my car without a brake light. I left the shop wonderinging if -after paying $611 for the 90k mi. service, it has been done properly. More
