Basney Honda - Service Center

I was concerned about my battery’s strength for the coming winter. I took it in without an appointment. Within about 30 minutes the battery was analyzed and determined to be very strong. $70 plus dollars for an express oil change seems a little excessive to me. We have used the dealer before and they are helpful and pleasant but that charge really surprised me. excessive to me. Took car in for safety recall and also asked for oil change. When I picked up the car was given my paperwork that showed services were completed as well as complimentary car wash. Went out to take my ca change. When I picked up the car was given my paperwork that showed services were completed as well as complimentary car wash. Went out to take my car home and found the car had not been washed and the oil life gauge had not been reset making me question if the oil had even been changed. Called the service department to ask about the car wash and was just told I could bring it in any time for a wash. I asked how to reset oil life indicator and was able to do that myself. He couldn’t tell me why my car hadn’t been washed or why the oil life indicator wasn’t reset. He was very polite and apologized, but not thrilled that I was told upon checkout that my car should have had a car wash and I had to reset the indicator myself. They also had my car overnight (as I dropped it off well before they closed) as I was scheduled for first thing next morning for the service. I only took it there for the safety recall and thought since it needed an oil change I would have them do that since it was already there and needed one. More

I had to call 5 times to get an appointment set up, nobody returned my voicemails and left messages. Basney service was supposed to call me when my part was in! They asked if I'd like a complimentary carcass when I dropped off my vehicle, I said yes, yet my car was not washed. The work done to my vehicle was done really well, I've only had my vehicle back 2 days, but so far I'm satisfied with the fixes. More

I always say no to the free car wash but they always run my cars through anyway and the wash always leaves soap residue spots all over so I then have to rewash it. I did make a new appointment…at Gurley Leep Honda in Elkhart, 25 miles away. More
