Battery installed to my satisfaction. Drove off and realized that a Code was needed to run clock and radio. Had to go back to dealership to have it entered by service department. I brought my truck in because I thought the led around the head light was not working on the passenger side. The reason is the light on the driver side was working. Turns out when I hit a deer the body sh the head light was not working on the passenger side. The reason is the light on the driver side was working. Turns out when I hit a deer the body shop put the wrong light in. My RTL should never have a led light that functions. The problem is that rather than the Basney service center take a minute and validate this, they chose to take my truck apart, get a new headlight for the passenger side, THEN when it did not light the led bar decide to investigate that the RTL does not have this. So they had to put the truck back together. When they put it back together both sides of the cladding were installed improperly. In addition when I picked it up they made me feel like it was my fault for bringing it for service in the first place. When I brought the truck back in a second time to have the cladding fixed I noticed a big scratch on the drivers headlight. So the return trip included having the cladding reinstalled and the headlight buffed out. Both times when I called Austin to see if my truck would be ready by the end of the day he did not even know if the mechanic had started on it. When I pressed him to check to see if the mechanic had not started and if so to not start so that I could reschedule the service he was audibly upset about my request. The thing is I needed my truck for the weekend and it as 100% drivable like it was. So if the mechanic had not started and could not finish by closing time, why even start it. I feel like there are a couple of things. First if there would have been verification that my RTL did not support an LED light in the first place, I never would have had to bring it in. Instead the service team just ordered a headlight, had me bring it in and THEN they found out my truck does not have one. All this would have been avoided if they had just done that. Second, when I called to get an ETA on the repair I was merely asking so that I could make plans to pick it up. If the work had not been started in time to deliver at the end of the day I saw no reason for Basney to keep it for the entire weekend. When I bought my truck I had hoped I would be able to get it serviced at the same place I bought it. I am not sure that is going to happen now. More
